schadetj: (invite to OOC?)
blender_bunny@mac.com: Four months have passed since the last
encounter with the dreaded prisoner of the swamps, there were
many hilarious hijinks unfortunately none of you were part of any.
blender_bunny@mac.com: For the last few months the Destiny
Chogos have kept you all but tied down to Kaiser's manse what
with some kind of preparation for 'great destiny.
blender_bunny@mac.com: They also have destroyed 4 vases, 2
priceless walls, and every piece of upholstery in the manse.
blender_bunny@mac.com: Somewhere in this time Meeli has proven
worthy of fear having chewed a small hole into the walls and after
getting stuck the first few times has quickly learned to navigate
the manse's dark interior.
blender_bunny@mac.com: Sometimes Tomasu can feel something
watching him at night.
schadetj: He passed it off as nerves.
blender_bunny@mac.com: Tassi has been free to come and go and
do real things, though somehow providing sustenance and booze
from the local towns was somewhere on that list.
schadetj: And too much hot chocolate.
DancerVeiled: Ayame hid from Meelie too, though it appeared to keep it's
eyes on Tomasu most of the time.
schadetj: Tomasu was standing in one of the larger rooms of
the manse, his twenty five soldiers in formation before him.
"And one! Two! Three! Four!" He barked out numbers as
they did jumping jacks.
schadetj: This wasn't a vacation, after all!
Mesden: Tayuumi was lounging after having completed her goals
for the few months. This was like a vacation afterall!
DancerVeiled: Ayame is watching while Tomasu drills his troops, again.
DancerVeiled: He loves to drill his troops.
Lithaladhwen: Tassi returns from the village with a jug of clear
alcohol in her pack and a bloody handkerchief in one hand.
She's picking something from under her fingernails, but
sets down the booze without a word.
Lithaladhwen: "That's for injuries," she said. "So leave me at
least half the bottle."
schadetj: "Fourty eight! Fourty nine! Fifty! On the floor,
push-ups! One! Two! Three! Four!"
MischiefMink: Ode is lounging in a corner near the
courtyard, keeping half an eye on the training while
reading a rather decrepit-looking book.
schadetj: Tomasu's eyes turned to Ode, then back to his men.
"Take a break, then run laps! Ayame...if you're bored, you
can join them." He turned and made his way toward Ode,
intending to speak more on something he had been
considering.
DancerVeiled: Ayame is relaxing, watching Tomasu's troops go through
their drills. She's already done her exercises for today, and is taking it
easy.
DancerVeiled: "Oh, not bored..." She yawns.
schadetj: Tomasu stopped by Ode, kneeling down into a
position he got used to from the academies. "So...Ode."
MischiefMink: Ode looked up to see the soldier standing
over her. "...yes?"
Lithaladhwen: Tassi gave her hands another once-over with the
handkerchief before stowing the bloody thing in a pocket.
She sat down cross-legged next to the jug and refilled her
flask.
Lithaladhwen: When there was nothing to do but drink and
help mortals, Tassi liked to be prepared for either need.
schadetj: "Sorcery. You know it. I was wondering...if I found
a book...could you help me learn?"
MischiefMink: Ode sighed and leaned back. "If you found
a book...which are pretty rare, all things
considered..." she shrugged. "I could try, but... why
do you want to learn?"
DancerVeiled: "Steve, look out!" Ayame calls out as Soldier Steve falls into
a particularly unforbidding patch of swamp. Running laps, in a swamp...
DancerVeiled: She gets up and rushes to his aid.
schadetj: "Because...I almost lost my men four months ago.
And I remember seeing the War Mages back on the Isle...I
could help protect them."
DancerVeiled: ... and drags Steve inside.
MischiefMink: "There are other ways of protecting those
you care about, other magic. Sorcery is no easy
path."
schadetj: "Nothing worth the effort ever is. I am no stranger
to hard work. Being raised a mortal in House Cathak
makes you very familiar with it very quickly."
DancerVeiled: "You've got to be more careful, Steve! You could have
been eaten!" Ayame chews out soldier Steve, with great gusto.
MischiefMink: "Mm," was all Ode said. "...very well. If
you find a book, I suppose I can advise you. But my
best advice would still be to find some other form of
magic or martial arts to study."
schadetj: "I hear your advice, and I thank you for your
concern. However...you will soon see that I don't give up
easily. But I will ask again once I have obtained a book."
MischiefMink: "Fair enough."
Lithaladhwen: Tassi looked up from her alcohol-rationing and
observed the conversation between Ode and Tomasu. She
couldn't hear them, but from what she could see, Ode had a
rather strange relationship with her comrades.
schadetj: Tomasu stood up from his place, giving a small
bow, then turning back to his men. "...Ayame? What
happened?"
Lithaladhwen: On the one hand, they seemed constantly baffled
by everything she did and said. On the other, the utter
mystery surrounding her knowledge and motivations lent
her a bizarre sort of authority.
DancerVeiled: "Steve went swamp-running." Ayame sighs.
Lithaladhwen: She shook her head. Strange strange people.
DancerVeiled: "Hey! I just wanted to get out of that manse for a bit... T.T"
Steve sighs.
schadetj: Tomasu looked down at Steve, then thought. "...we
have been cooped up in this manse for a while."
schadetj: He looked around. "...I wonder if we can head into
town for the night. I need to go see about buying a book,
and I'm sure the men would like the time off."
MischiefMink: "...indeed. Have the chogos ever said
specifically what this 'great destiny' they keep talking
about is?"
DancerVeiled: Ayame looks at Tomasu strangely, "Er, do you think a
backwater town is going to sell books on sorcery?"
DancerVeiled: "... Probably we'll become the best hot-chocolate drinkers
in Creation." Ayame grumbles at Ode's comment.
schadetj: Tomasu nodded. "Where do you think all of the
good blackmarket merchandise outside the realm is sold?
Backwater towns are off the radar."
DancerVeiled: She coughs, "You're such a gangster, Tomasu."
MischiefMink: "...that would suit them, wouldn't it?" Ode
sighed. "And Tomasu, I highly doubt you will find any
sorcery books in any store."
Mesden: Tayuumi giggled. "Gangster?"
Lithaladhwen: Tassi looked up. "Please try to avoid causing any
trouble in town that I'll have to fix."
MischiefMink: "The ones that exist are usually horded by
scholars and other sorcerers."
schadetj: Tomasu gave a wry smile. "Well, I did get in quite a
bit of trouble in the academies..."
schadetj: "And it would never hurt to look. We know they do
blackmarket slave trades. Who knows if someone knows
anything about some rare books."
Lithaladhwen: Tassi braced one arm on her knee as she stood.
"Well, if you're heading out now, I'm bored out of my mind
waiting for my destiny. Mind if I tag along?"
schadetj: Tomasu made a signal, his men gathering in close.
"Alright guys...you know the signal."
schadetj: His men nod.
schadetj: Tomasu looked back and forth. No chogos.
"Ready....RUN LIKE HELL!" He and his men bolted as a
group out the door, all of them sprinting in the direction of
town.
MischiefMink: Ode sighed and stood. "I'll come along as
well then. I've nearly finished this book-- if you're
going to be looking, I may as well search too."
DancerVeiled: Ayame calmly followed Tomasu, so that she wouldn't make
loud splashing noises that tend to alert small squirrels.
schadetj: Tomasu lead the pack, but the group followed in
close.
MischiefMink: "..." Ode watched as Tomasu raced away,
then turned to Tassi. "...I guess we're going, then?"
blender_bunny@mac.com: Sparkle wandered out. "Where is
everyone going?"
Lithaladhwen: Tassi sighed and put a hand to her forehead. "I
think we had better. Damned fool."
Mesden: "Oh damnit..."
DancerVeiled: "BE VERY QUIET!" Ayame yells at Tomasu, sarcastically,
"DON'T LET THEM HEAR US."
schadetj: "I THINK IT'S TOO LATE FOR THAT!" They were
already a good distance away.
MischiefMink: "...I could probably help, but you know...
no." Ode sighed. "It's probably a good thing most of
the spirits in the swamp are too skittish right now to
do anything to them..."
schadetj: Tomasu slid to a stop. He scratched his head. He
gave a confused thought. "I'm forgetting something..."
DancerVeiled: "Aren't we missing someone?" Ayame points out.
schadetj: He turned and ran back at the manse, giving a slide
as he grabbed Tayuumi around the waist, lifting her up in
his arm.
schadetj: He grabbed Ode in the other arm, and pushed Tassi
up onto his back. Meeli took position on his head.
schadetj: He sprinted away again, passing Ayame. "GO GO
GO GO GOOOO!!!!"
blender_bunny@mac.com: Sparkle waved. "Kay, ya'all come back
now ya'hear! "
DancerVeiled: "..." Ayame stared in disbelief as Tomasu tried to carry three
people.
DancerVeiled: ... She casually followed behind his remarkably slowed
pace.
Lithaladhwen: Tassi yelped in surprise as she was grabbed, and
did her best to hold on for dear life. She was used to slightly
more dignified transport, but she supposed it was no more
degrading to Tomasu from an outside perspective.
Lithaladhwen: She just hadn't expected to use an ally... as a
mount.
MischiefMink: Ode also yelped as she was unexpectedly
grabbed, and tried to snatch her hand away. She
could, after all, walk perfectly fine on her own...
Lithaladhwen: Tassi scowled and when she spoke it was with an
accent very different from her usual prim tone. "Ah swear
Ah see no damn reason for this. Ah take umbrage at the
tossin'. Ah could've followed all y'all on foot."
schadetj: Increasing Strength Excercise is awesome.
schadetj: That's all that really needs to be said.
MischiefMink: Ode blinked as Tassi's accent shifted. That
was never a good sign.
DancerVeiled: Ayame leaps from mangrove to mangrove after the
lumbering mass of people carried by the very strong commander.
MischiefMink: "I agree. Let me go."
schadetj: "It's good training! Besides, it means you can walk
without getting messy."
Mesden: "...put us down. NOW."
Lithaladhwen: "Ya could've asked permission before grabbin'
and tossin'."
MischiefMink: "I could've done that anyway."
schadetj: Tomasu stopped his running, releasing the people
on his back and shrugged. "Meh, alright then." He
repositioned his cape, going back to the march.
Lithaladhwen: Tassi straightened her clothes and coughed
under her breath self-consciously. She really needed to get
control. "Ah'm sorry I yelled at--" She took a deep breath
and started walking on her own.
Lithaladhwen: "I mean, I do apologize. It was somewhat
uncalled-for."
Lithaladhwen: Though still positively asinine, Tassi finished
mentally.
Mesden: "Somewhat? Grabbing three women and running away
with them? That's called kidnapping."
schadetj: "Well, if you want to go through the muck...that's
your decision then." He ran ahead of the group, moving to
catch up with his men that had gotten ahead.
Lithaladhwen: "Yes, well. I'm inclined to agree. I still feel a bit
guilty for nearly losing my temper, though. I was just...
surprised."
DancerVeiled: "... Has something gotten into Tomasu?" Ayame asks Tassi,
as she catches up...
MischiefMink: "Don't worry about it," Ode said.
MischiefMink: "It was a perfectly reasonable reaction,
after all."
Lithaladhwen: Tassi shook her head and spread her hands in
the classic "damned if I know" answer.
DancerVeiled: "He's awfully excited... Y'know, more then is usual for him."
DancerVeiled: She shakes her head. "Bah."
MischiefMink: "Indeed."
Lithaladhwen: "I thought as much. I mean, I've travelled with
you for a short period and suddenly I'm manhandled in the
course of some.... some quest for librarians."
schadetj: Far ahead of them, Tomasu was leaping over the
heads of his men, a few pushing into him to try and knock
him down.
DancerVeiled: "Maybe, if we're lucky, some ninja-librarians will ambush us,
and reverse-steal Tomasu's sorcery knowlege."
DancerVeiled: Ayame says, sarcastically, "It would be fitting, and par for
the course."
MischiefMink: Ode chuckled. "We can only hope."
Lithaladhwen: Tassi laughed. "Perhaps it would do him good."
Lithaladhwen: She picked over a branch and pulled one of her
boots back up to her knee to keep sloshing mud out. "So... I
agreed to come along out of sheer mind-numbing
boredom..."
Lithaladhwen: "But I hadn't resolved just what I was going to
do once we were done playing Follow the Madman."
Lithaladhwen: "Any thoughts?"
MischiefMink: "Unless the chogos decide to actually tell
us what their crazy plan is--not something I really
want to know anyway--I'd almost say it's time to
head out of this place."
DancerVeiled: "Knowing destiny, it will find us." Ayame sighs.
DancerVeiled: "In the worst way."
MischiefMink: "...probably, yes."
schadetj: So, the group of men having too much fun kept
running until the town got near.
blender_bunny@mac.com: The town got near!
blender_bunny@mac.com: NOW ENTERING: QUAINT
SOUTHERN VILlAGE.
schadetj: Before they entered the town, Tomasu called his
men together and quieted them down. "Alright...everyone
knows the rules. Buddy system. Don't get caught...again.
And be back by morning or (...)
schadetj: when I send up the flare, whichever is first." They
nodded, and broke off to do whatever they felt like doing.
MischiefMink: "Did you tell them to keep an eye out for
supernatural things this time?" Ode asked as she and
the others came up behind him.
DancerVeiled: "If we hear screaming, we know what to do." Ayame sighs.
schadetj: "I told them to not get caught." He gave out a
cough, flattening his hair and patting down his armor.
schadetj: After a deep breath, he got back his regal posture
and look, his face in a constant look of semi-disinterest.
DancerVeiled: "I take it no screaming this time around then?" Ayame
winks.
Mesden: "I don't want to save your men a third time." Tayuumi
jested.
MischiefMink: "Heh. Indeed."
schadetj: Tomasu looked over at them. Humor was gone from
his face. "You underestimate them." He turned, his hands
clasped behind his back, a brisk march into the town.
DancerVeiled: "Yes sir, Colonel Tomasu sir, we do, sir." Ayame salutes.
Lithaladhwen: "And he's suddenly so bloody serious." She
clucked her tongue, resolving not to question his odd
behavior.
Mesden: "Or maybe I care about people." Tayuumi shrugged.
MischiefMink: Ode chuckled at Ayame's remark. "So
you're off to pillage the bookstores, then? I'm not
sure looking serious will make your trip any more
successful."
schadetj: Tomasu ignored their remarks, instead surveying
the town. In a place like this, there was bound to be some
kind of behind-the-scenes sales going on...he just needed
to find it.
DancerVeiled: "Ode, if there were bookstores that sold magic tomes...
They wouldn't be here, would they?"
MischiefMink: "No."
DancerVeiled: "... I didn't think so."
Lithaladhwen: "So are you going to tell him this?"
MischiefMink: "I did try to tell him that-- magical tomes
are generally not sold in stores anyway--but he didn't
listen."
MischiefMink: "He just said something about this being
off the beaten path and that somehow that meant
they would be here."
Lithaladhwen: "I see. Well, I suppose it won't do him too much
harm to have something to look forward to. Hopefully he
doesn't get himself in trouble searching for the
underground text racket."
DancerVeiled: "Perhaps if he concentrates hard enough, they will manifest
themselves."
DancerVeiled: "From their secret hiding places between this world and that
one."
DancerVeiled: Ayame becomes sarcasto-mystical.
MischiefMink: "...something like that."
Lithaladhwen: "I know that's how I always find my left sock
after I do a wash."
Lithaladhwen: Tassi nodded definitively.
MischiefMink: "..." Ode tilted her head a little at Tassi.
"What?"
blender_bunny@mac.com: There is a bookstore, it is a plain little
thing, there is a parrot inside along with an
older...uh...gentle-man, I think?
MischiefMink: "Hm... looks like he's managed to find it
anyway..."
Lithaladhwen: Tassi blinked in surprise. "I'm not the only one
that has that happen, right? Somewhere in the course of
soaking and washing and beating and drying, I always end
up losing a sock." She shrugged.
schadetj: Tomasu moved into the bookstore, his blades
hidden by his cape. "Umm...excuse me, book merchant?"
Lithaladhwen: "These are the true mysteries of the cosmos."
DancerVeiled: "Perhaps Tomasu will solve them."
DancerVeiled: "That is his great destiny."
Lithaladhwen: "Of course!" Tassi slapped her forehead in mock
amazement. "That's what the books are for!"
blender_bunny@mac.com: The parrot glared at him.
Mesden: Tayuumi followed him in. She didn't see Tomasu as,
well, the more eloquent type.
Lithaladhwen: "They're for divining the location of my
estranged socks."
MischiefMink: Ode also entered the bookshop-- she'd
finished her book earlier, and needed something new
to read.
DancerVeiled: Ayame nods sagely, "Thus, the world became more clear."
blender_bunny@mac.com: The parrot glared into Tomasu's soul, it
wasn't the kind of glare that came lightly from the avian species.
schadetj: Tomasu looked over at the parrot, his eyes
narrowed. "Seems you know a little dog quite well, Mr.
Parrot."
Mesden: "Dog?"
blender_bunny@mac.com: "Vroooooock, polly want a cracka,
vroooock."
schadetj: "Hmmm...polly? Would your owner happen to be
awake for business?"
blender_bunny@mac.com: The bird looked down at the sleeping
figure then back at Tomasu. "Cracka."
DancerVeiled: Ayame tries to busy herself looking at various books....
schadetj: "Polly wants a cracker? If Polly gets its owner to do
business, I'll get a whole bag of crackers, JUST for Polly."
MischiefMink: Ode also heads off into the stacks.
blender_bunny@mac.com: The parrot made what could only be a
coughing sound. "Don't patronize me you smug son of a Nexus
whore, Rawk!"
schadetj: Tomasu looked sternly at the parrot. "...then don't
act like an idiot. You want a cracker? I'll get you one. But I
am in need of a book and you are getting in my way."
blender_bunny@mac.com: The bird ruffled it's feathers and flapped
down to the sleeping figures shoulder.
Mesden: Tayuumi confirmed it. Definitely not eloquent.
blender_bunny@mac.com: Ode, the stacks are mostly esoteric hand
written works.
MischiefMink: "Hm..." Ode murmured as she browsed
through the books, picking up one ever now and then
and flipping through it before returning it to its place.
blender_bunny@mac.com: On one table is a book labeled "Anayta
in the Blackforests or What the Empress Found There."
schadetj: Tomasu watched the parrot and the man it was
resting on.
blender_bunny@mac.com: The parrot preened itself.
DancerVeiled: Ayame withdraws a random book and peruses it.
schadetj: Tomasu let out a sigh, checking his pockets for
crackers.
blender_bunny@mac.com: Tomasu is crackerless
schadetj: "....Tayuumi, please handle this."
schadetj: Tomasu is going to strangle the parrot otherwise.
blender_bunny@mac.com: Ayame finds a medical codex with
hand-drawn diagrams that would make even a siderial blush.
DancerVeiled: "..."
DancerVeiled: Ayame is stunned.
Mesden: "Hello Mr. Parrot." Tayuumi beams a bright smile at
the bird, and attempts to pet it.
MischiefMink: Raising an eyebrow, Ode picked up the
book and opened it to the first page.
blender_bunny@mac.com: One of these images is modeled by a
very young Kejak.
DancerVeiled: >.> "This book is incredibly old." Ayame notes, despite not
recognizing Kejak. The book was obviously first-age, to have such detail.
MischiefMink: The pages were old and crumbling a little
at the edges, but the script was clear and easy to
read. At first glance it appeared to be a simple story,
but there was something intriguing about it.
MischiefMink: Closing the book, Ode tucked it under her
arm-- this one she was taking with her.
DancerVeiled: Ayame looks at her book, and decides it was impeccably
useful. She'd take that one too... >.>
blender_bunny@mac.com: 'Anayta was beginning to get tired of
sitting by her daughter in the court , and of having nothing better
to do: once or twice she peeped into the book her advisor was
reading
blender_bunny@mac.com: , but it had no pictures or conversations
in it, "And what is the use of a book," thought she, "With out
pictures or conversations?"
blender_bunny@mac.com: The parrot hissed at the girl, and if one
must know the hiss of a parrot is a very threatening thing not to
be taken lightly. "Raaaaawk, Hello."
DancerVeiled: "Er... Whom do we pay for these books?" Ayame asks the
parrot, curiously.
Mesden: "Would you be able to tell me if there are any special
books on things such as sorcery?" As she spoke, inner energy
ignited...
Mesden: Making her words clearer...more persuasive.
blender_bunny@mac.com: The parrot nipped the slipping figure on
the ear. "Eh? What now? What?" They blinked and sat up
straight.
schadetj: "Hello, sir. We were wondering about doing some
business on books."
Mesden: "Could you happen to tell me if there are any books on,
sa-" Tayuumi has been cut off!
blender_bunny@mac.com: "...Sir? I'm a lady?"
schadetj: "My apologies. I was raised to use Sir as a term for
all of my elders." He gave a small bow.
blender_bunny@mac.com: A plus bullshitting there Tomasu.
schadetj has left the room.
DancerVeiled has left the room.
Raiden sparx has entered the room.
blender_bunny@mac.com: She nods at Tomasu. "Go on."
Raiden sparx: "You see, I was wondering if, as an owner of a
book store, you might be privvy to knowledge of
more...rare books?"
blender_bunny@mac.com: "All my books rare, very rare and
valuable!"
Raiden sparx: "Oh? Would you happen to have any books on
sorcery? Maybe...a Treatise?"
blender_bunny@mac.com: "What you talking about crazy boy? You
craaaaazy! Crazy boy."
Raiden sparx: "Well, Treatises are rare books. And you know
rare books. I assume you would know something about
where one might be."
blender_bunny@mac.com: "I know where to find first printing of
Nemo in Southern Sea! I know hot to stop book worm, you talk
crazy talk, crazy boy!"
blender_bunny@mac.com: how*
MischiefMink: "I'm telling you, you're probably going to
have to pry one out of the fingers of a scholar," Ode
said, emerging from the stacks.
Raiden sparx: "Tayuumi...a lil' help please?"
blender_bunny@mac.com: "Smug bastard, rawk.""None that from
you, annoying bird.""But.""No!""Raaaaawk, Cracka."
MischiefMink: "How much for this one, madam?" she
asked, showing What the Empress Found There to the
shopkeeper.
Mesden: Tayuumi sighed. Should've just let me talk to her to
begin with.
blender_bunny@mac.com: She counted on her finger. "What you
have?"
Mesden: "Ma'am," a slight twinkle emerged in her eyes, "do you
know anything about these treatise he talks about?" (Apply
earlier scene that didn't work >> )
MischiefMink: "In books or money?" Ode asked. "I do
happen to have this collection of ghost stories I'd be
willing to trade."
MischiefMink: She held up the book she'd been reading
earlier. "It has handwritten notes from the scholar
who collected them, even."
blender_bunny@mac.com: "Oooh do you? Sound like fair trade,
enjoy book, very good read."
blender_bunny@mac.com: She smiled back at Tayumi. ""No, don't
know nothing about no treatise, crazy boy is very crazy. I suggest
nice soothing tea and sleep for him, maybe find doctor, make
him less crazy."
Mesden: "Thank you kindly, ma'am."
MischiefMink: Ode smiled and handed her book to the
woman. "Thank you very much."
Raiden sparx: "But what about any other sorcery books? Any
would do."
blender_bunny@mac.com: "Wait here, maybe I have tea in the back,
make crazy boy less crazy." She stood up and shuffled off, still
looking very much like an old man.
blender_bunny@mac.com: The parrot went back to staring at
Tomasu.
blender_bunny@mac.com: "Cracka."
Raiden sparx: He let out a sigh, smacking his armor with his
palm.
Mesden: "You okay?"
MischiefMink: Ode frowned at Tomasu's frustration.
"Well, I did say that they're hard to find. Did you
really expect to find something like a treatise here?"
Mesden: An honest look of concern was imprinted on Tayuumi's
face.
Raiden sparx: "There's something here...I know it. Maybe not
a Treatise...but something."
MischiefMink: She shrugged. "If you say so."
Raiden sparx: Tomasu turned, beginning to quickly look
through the shelves of the store.
Raiden sparx: "Something's gotta be here..."
Raiden sparx: "There has to be..."
blender_bunny@mac.com: Ode finds a book titled "An extremely
useful book of great importance and help."
MischiefMink: "...why does this sound like something
suspiciously unhelpful?" Ode frowned, then shrugged.
"Hey Tomasu... try looking at this."
Raiden sparx: Tomasu looked over, taking the book from
Ode's hands and opening it up.
blender_bunny@mac.com: "There is nothing here, move along."
Raiden sparx: ".....*sigh* No books here, I guess."
blender_bunny@mac.com: "Turn the page."
Raiden sparx: "......" He turns the page.
blender_bunny@mac.com: "Well duh, genius what did I just say."
Raiden sparx: "......" Tomasu pulled out a pencil and wrote
onto the page. I can make you into kindling. Don't push
your luck.
blender_bunny@mac.com: "Turn the page."
Raiden sparx: He turned it.
blender_bunny@mac.com: "You don't own this book, kindly refrain
from vandalizing it."
Raiden sparx: ".........." Tomasu placed the book on the floor,
and slid it beneath the book shelves with his foot.
Raiden sparx: He walked away nonchalantly.
blender_bunny@mac.com: The book shed a single inky tear.
MischiefMink: Ode, who had been reading over his
shoulder, grinned and picked it up after he walked
away.
MischiefMink: "It sounds like this really is a helpful
book..." she muttered. "Hmm... where'd that old lady
shopkeeper go...?"
blender_bunny@mac.com: "Turn the page."
MischiefMink: Obediently, Ode turned the page.
blender_bunny@mac.com: "The kitchen."
MischiefMink: "Hm. I could've guessed that," Ode
muttered, and shut the book before heading towards
the kitchen.
blender_bunny@mac.com: There is an old lady, she is brewing tea.
"Oh find everything alright, darling?"
MischiefMink: "Ah, yes. I just wondered how much this
other book might be."
MischiefMink: She holds up the Very Helpful Book.
blender_bunny@mac.com: "Oh no one buy that book, they say it very
rude, please take it."
MischiefMink: Ode chuckled. "Very well. Sorry to bother
you then."
blender_bunny@mac.com: "You still want tea for crazy boy?"
MischiefMink: Ode looked over to where Tomasu was still
sulking. "You know, I'm not sure he'd drink it."
blender_bunny@mac.com: "It is fine, have a good read now." She
searched the cupboard and came out with a stale cracker.
MischiefMink: "Thank you again," Ode nodded and ducked
out of the kitchen, back into the bookstore.
Raiden sparx: Tomasu was already standing in the doorway of
the bookstore. "Dammit...I was so sure. Then
again...checking out the bookstore would be too easy."
Raiden sparx: "No...rare artifacts or books...they'd be hidden
somewhere else..."
blender_bunny@mac.com: Like somewhere with essence users...
MischiefMink: As their mission was apparently over, Ode
also headed towards the exit, her two new
acquisitions under her arm.
Mesden: Tayuumi is petting Meeli absentmindedly.
Raiden sparx: "....hold on a sec. The hot springs here. They
used thaumaturgy to make it, right?"
Raiden sparx: "They likely got people from the Threshold to
come do it..."
Raiden sparx: "And the Threshold has DBs...and where there
are Dragonblooded, there are sorcerors..."
MischiefMink: "...I suppose..." Ode said slowly.
Mesden: "...so you're suggesting we go into the threshold,
searching for Dragonblooded, to find you, a wanted
Anathema, soem sorcery books?"
Mesden: "...I've got nothing better to do. I'm in! =D"
Raiden sparx: "It's either that, or hunt down some Lunars."
Raiden sparx: "And to be truthful, Dragonblooded have a
higher chance of keeping Sorcery books around."
