You have just entered room "hotbuns."
Raiden sparx has entered the room.
blender_bunny@mac.com: When last we saw our heroes they were
bathing or returning little girls to rich neighborhoods.
Raiden sparx: Tomasu, since he was getting no pleasure from
seeing naked women bathe (Goddamn thaums), was instead
thinking of what had happened before.
Raiden sparx: His men had almost died.
Raiden sparx: His men were dear to him. They were the only
friends he had left from his old home. If anything happened
to them, he didn't know what he'd do. And his weapons
couldn't always protect them.
DancerVeiled: Ayame was bathing, taking great care to clean all of the
swamp-gook off of her body, making sure she was entirely clean once again.
It was a remarkably refreshing experience.
Mesden: Ditto!
MischiefMink: Ode was following behind Hiyoko, trying to
figure out how to best avoid any awkward meetings
with the girl's parents.
Lithaladhwen: Tassi, deeming herself in thorough need of a good
scrub as well, decided to indulge herself with the others.
Lithaladhwen: At worst it was an opportunity to be clean and
comfortable, and perhaps it would be a chance to get to know
these allies of Ode's.
Lithaladhwen: Those ladies who happen to be bathing with the
blonde stranger would notice a large round sienna-colored
tattoo on her lower back.
Lithaladhwen: It looked like an elaborate mandala, almost like a
delicate line-drawing of a rose window.
Raiden sparx: Tomasu sat quietly in the water, merely letting it
soak. The long scar on his chest that went from his left
shoulder to his right hip was very apparant now.
blender_bunny@mac.com: Hiyoko smiled as she banged on the door
of the building she called home. "Would you like to come in?"
MischiefMink: "Ah... I'm not sure if I should," Ode said,
gesturing at her still swamp-filled clothes. "Your family
would probably think you were bringing a swamp
monster home, you know?"
Lithaladhwen: Tassi pulled wet hair out of her face and twisted it
back behind her neck above the water. It wasn't often she had
trouble starting conversations with new people, but
something about this situation was strange.
Lithaladhwen: Her apparent allies seemed reticent in... a way that
was unfamiliar to Tassi.
Lithaladhwen: She wasn't sure how to overcome it, or even if it
were not simply her imagination running away with her,
driving her to new heights of curiosity and nosiness.
Raiden sparx: Tomasu looked over at Ayame, Tayuumi, and
Tassi bathing. Part of him felt like he should be happy
but...meh.
DancerVeiled: Ayame possessed few notable markings or scars, given the
ease and perfection of the chosen of the dawn's natural healing. Nor was she
particularly social around strangers.
Mesden: Tayuumi, on the other hand, hardly ever fought and
seemed to be picture perfect outwardly!
Mesden: Being the perky upstart person she is, she decided to
kick things off.
Mesden: "So, what brings everyone here?"
Raiden sparx: "Ayame, when we go shopping for new armor to
replace your beaten up stuff, mind helping me look for some
books?"
DancerVeiled: "Books?" She asks, "What sort?"
DancerVeiled: Tomasu wasn't the kind to read... >.> Something was up.
Lithaladhwen: "I actually came across Ode in the swamp. I'd
worked with her before, and couldn't justify wandering
around alone when the alternative was to offer her a bit of aid
if I could," Tassi explained.
Lithaladhwen: "Then all this madness happened, and I'm not
actually entirely sure what's happened or if I've been any help
at all. Near as I can tell I've been bright and shiny and
castigated a spirit." Tassi shrugged.
Lithaladhwen: "I suppose perhaps that was enough."
Raiden sparx: "Sorcery books. Stuff they taught back at the
schools. You know."
DancerVeiled: "... You're not a sorceror, Tomasu." Ayame looks at him
strangely, "I mean, you're not even a savant... Are you?"
Raiden sparx: "I went to the schools. I just never focused on it."
DancerVeiled: "Really? They teach that stuff to line soldiers in the realm?""
Mesden: "Well, that's an interesting story."
Mesden: "I just followed strangers into the woods to help them."
Mesden: "Go figure, huh?"
Lithaladhwen: Tassi smiled. "It hadn't occurred to me that anyone
else here might be as confused as I was and to a great degree
still am. I assume you got here before I did?"
Raiden sparx: "Well, not sorcery itself. Just some of the logistics
of it. After all, you never know who might show potential for
it. But anyway...just make sure to look for one."
DancerVeiled: "... Okay." Ayame said, shifty-eyed. Tomasu was up to
something...
Mesden: "Most likely"
Mesden: "All I ended up doing was glowwing bright enough to
keep his" she slightly nodded over to Tomasu, "troops alive."
blender_bunny@mac.com: "Are you sure? They may want to reward
you, maybe they'll give you a prize an' everything." The little girl was
very optimistic for having grown up in such a posh lifestye.
Mesden: "The place was a bit too nasty for them."
MischiefMink: "...if you really want, I can stop back in
later, after I've had a chance to get de-swamped, and
meet them then."
Raiden sparx: Tomasu rubbed a finger along the scar, scratches
showing after cleaning the muck off. "Dammit...need to wrap
this up later."
DancerVeiled: "Better to do it now, Tomasu. Don't want that to get infected."
Ayame points out.
Lithaladhwen: "I can imagine. Too bloody nasty for a child, too.
Speaking of which, I have to wonder where Ode's gotten
herself off to. I'd hate to think we were all sitting around
enjoying naked spa time when she needs us."
Lithaladhwen: Tassi glanced up at Tomasu. "Do you need any
assistance with that? I mean... I could try and have a look at
you if you're injured."
Raiden sparx: "Well, if you could, that'd be appreciated. Don't
really know much besides putting on bandages."
DancerVeiled: Ayame slides over toward him and rolls her eyes, "Heh heh...
Here, let me take a look..."
Raiden sparx: He leaned back, exposing his chest and the cuts.
Lithaladhwen: Well, no sense in fighting over the poor man. I think
in our condition it would be damned inhumane for the poor man.
Lot of nude women scrambling over one another to stare at his
body and nothing to come of it, Tassi thought.
Lithaladhwen: She can handle it if she'd like.
DancerVeiled: Ayame takes a look, and snags her tools. "Well, I'll clean the
cuts, and patch you up."
Raiden sparx: "Thanks." He closed his eyes, continuing to think
on what he intended to do.
MischiefMink: "...so," Ode said after a moment of silence,
"I'll be heading back then. But I will try to stop by a
little later."
MischiefMink: Hiyoko still said nothing, but waved a little
as Ode turned and walked away.
Mesden: "And I'll just sit over here with my minimal training in
how to nurse wounds!" Tayuumi chirped in, rather playfully.
Raiden sparx: Normally, Tomasu would suggest Tayuumi should
come over and be a support for his head. He needed a rest.
Raiden sparx: But somehow, he couldn't bring himself to say it.
Leviathan Bound has entered the room.
DancerVeiled: Ayame goes about scraping free debris and swampstuff from
Tomasu's scratches, and expertly patching them up with remarkable skill.
Tomasu feels much better now.
Raiden sparx: Tomasu let out a deep breath. "Thanks, Ayame."
DancerVeiled: "Welcome." She grins, and returns her tools, slipping back into
the pool in a relaxed manner.
Lithaladhwen: Tassi leaned back into the water, drawing herself
back into her thoughts. Sometimes it's better when I'm
travelling with an army. When beings get powerful enough they
don't really need me anymore.
Lithaladhwen: She sighed. The old over-maternal baggage rears its
ugly head at last. Ah well. Nothing to be done now.
MischiefMink: It takes Ode some time to find her way out
of the noble's quarter and back to the baths where the
others are, but she makes it eventually.
MischiefMink: She hesitates just a moment before leaving
her mask with the rest of her clothes, and then heads
out to join the others.
Lithaladhwen: "....Ode?"
MischiefMink: She smiles and waves a little before slipping
into the water. "...did I miss anything terribly exciting?"
Raiden sparx: "Nope...sadly."
DancerVeiled: "Not really."
Lithaladhwen: Tassi waited for Ode to settle in a bit before
mentioning quietly, "It's good to see you... out and about," she
finished with a gesture toward her own face.
Mesden: "Welcome!"
MischiefMink: "Ah, well... unfortunately the swamp muck
got behind the mask, too. It was getting rather
uncomfortable," Ode replied, just as quietly.
Lithaladhwen: Tassi nodded. "Just the same. I didn't recognize you
without it at first." She looked up, a mischievous grin playing
across her face briefly. "What I recognized was your hair."
MischiefMink: Ode chuckled. "...it's not too surprising." She
tugged at one bit that was currently spiked with mud.
MischiefMink: "I never could get it to do anything. Even
my sister couldn't style it, and she was great at that
sort of thing."
Lithaladhwen: "I didn't realize you had a sister. What's her name?"
MischiefMink: "Aede."
Lithaladhwen: Tassi nodded. "Aede. You see her often?"
MischiefMink: "Ah... fairly often. I go back once or twice a
year, usually."
Lithaladhwen: "Speaking of visiting..." Tassi frowned, creating an
exaggerated expression of maternal frustration. "I will note
that I have not seen hide nor hair of you since Regulus."
MischiefMink: "Ah, well..."
Raiden sparx: "Ode. You use Sorcery, right?"
MischiefMink: Ode turned. "Yes..."
Lithaladhwen: "Hmph." Tassi flicked water out of her hair as the
conversation gave Ode an easy escape route from Tassi's
chiding. Well then, Tassi thought. I'll get her to come by
someday.
Raiden sparx: "I was wondering...how did you learn?"
DancerVeiled: Ayame looks at Tomasu with that appraising eye. "You're
interested in lookshyan battle-sorcery, I assume?"
MischiefMink: "Ah..." Ode frowned, trying to find the best
way to phrase her answer. "That's rather a tricky
question. I learned some from a tribe of shamans who
lived fairly close to where I grew up.
MischiefMink: "The rest is... a rather longer story."
Raiden sparx: "I'm hoping to find a way to use Sorcery. Some
things...I can't just slice at."
MischiefMink: "Hmm...I'm not sure it's something anyone
can learn," Ode said. "I stumbled into it more or less
by accident, so I don't know much of how it's
traditionally taught."
Raiden sparx: "Oh...I see." Tomasu slumped back down deeper
into the water. "I suppose it's the books for me."
DancerVeiled: "Don't worry, Tomasu... I'm sure you'll figure it out." Ayame
comforts.
