Serrena spun out and around from behind Rok, surprising the hell out of a guard who looked ready to gut the wookiee. Her big brother. "Surprise, honey!" she laughed, weilding her sai like a deadly dagger, she didn't give the man time to think as she shoved it up through his chin and into his skull.
The young woman spun hard on her heel to avoid his falling body, though enough of his blood had gushed out of the wound and splashed across her golden skin. The black leather of her tank-top and shorts was a midnight black, and the outfit was aimed to distract as much as possible.
And if it gave her opponent time enough to think she was just a pretty bauble, then it was all to her advantage. Serrena's sais glittered in the light, a perfect match for the shuriken attached to her outfit and the slender daggers hidden in her chestnut curls.

Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)"You heard the Captain, Iron Ferrets! Guard the Revenge!" Nate called out, relaying Marcus' orders. "In that case, anyone fires on our ship or so much as sneezes in its direction, be ready with laser cannons..."
A thrill went through the teenaged squadron leader to give that command. The idea of firing on any ship that would give the pirate ship any trouble was thrilling. The impersonal level of it suited Nathaniel just fine.
Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)
Rok watched as a Jedi moved in to strike him. Realizing his axes would serve little purpose Rok threw each of them into the chest of two different guards. His vibrospear was off his back in a hurry and Rok brought it up to guard the attack of the Jedi.
The Vibrospear connected with the lightstaff...sparks shot from the contact....but the wookiee didn't flinch...instead he pushed off with all his might in an aim to send the Jedi flying backwards.....If it worked and the Jedi flew backwards Rok would charge him while he was in the air....

Metran was used to fighting Wookiees; you didn't get the good money in pit fighting until you went up against seemingly hopeless odds. He knew what the pirate was capable of, and his move was typical for a race used to overpowering others. Metran didn't resist it, allowing the pirate to push him back.
He did not, however, lose his balance. Instead he quickly rolled and directed the lightstaff towards the charging Wookiee like a pike. His opponent would skewer himself with his charge - either that or he would try to block the offending beam, giving Metran leverage to bring the second blade about with deadly effect.

As Marcus ran by Metran, he lifted his sawed-off shutgun. Discharging it from about two feet away, the captain hoped that some of the flak would shut the whiney little scum up.
"As if me elite second mate would surrender to you mangy cur." the captain laughed before cleaving a guard's arm off who had raised it to fire a blaster.
"IF's." Marcus screamed into his comm, "This be getting stranged. Jedi here. Bring out the rest of the fleet to guard the ship."
Unfortunately all that ran through Marcus' head was that the ship's cargo must be VERY valuable to have Jedi guarding it. He hadn't quite put the trap together at the moment, it seemed.

Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)
Nathaniel grit his teeth and flipped open the private comm back to the Revenge to relay the message. He supposed that Marcus could think of no one else in that moment to contact but him.
"Alema, you read? Marcus says to pull in the rest of the fleet. NOW. It's bigger than we thought. Jedi are aboard!"
His TIE skimmed near the bridge's viewport, close enough that he could see the Revenge's crew inside before following along its port side toward the tail. Scanners weren't picking up anything or anyone else in space around them, which was good enough for now.
"Big Guns, Ennuyant, stay sharp. I've got a bad feeling about this..."
Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)
"I copy. I told the captain something was wrong, but he didn't respond to it. Whether intentionally or not they've done something to our systems. All the relevant things I'd think to check are A-Okay, but I'm going to keep looking around to find out what's been changed. Let me know if you learn anything on your end."
She flicked on the ship's intercom. It was possible that not everyone had gone out because they assumed they wouldn't be needed. They were wrong. "Orders from the captain. Iron Ferrets, please get yourselves into your ships now. All of you. We're going after a ship with Jedi aboard, and you're needed. Everyone else who could assist the boarding party, please stand by in case the captain calls you in as well."
She sat back and frowned at her control panel. She'd been wondering before whether or not they might just have a virus trying to propagate itself through an automated distress signal. Now there were Jedi aboard, and apparently it was enough of a problem to send in the whole fleet to support the boarding party. Still... there was a chance that it wasn't a trap, and that the Jedi were defending their ship like anyone would against pirates. That chance was getting much much smaller the more she thought about it.
Alema had done all she could at this point without any orders from the captain. She was becoming apprehensive about this mission, even if Marcus wasn't. That was fine. He was the one down there, and if he got worried she would hopefully have some reinforcements ready for him.

A pirate basher came around one of the corners and lunged at Tantor with his cutlass...Tantor parried it away deftly and wounded the man to the point that all he could do was lay on the ground and wait for his people to tend to his wounds.
"Alright bring em in!"
* * *
Jedi Cruisers and fighters dropped out of hyperspace creating a semicircle around the entwined ships....barrages of cannon fire errupted from the Jedi fleet as the semi circle began to enclose around the Pirates.....holding them in for capture.
Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)
The Jedi had his double bladed saber at the ready as Rok charged in. The wookiee brought his saber in a horizontal strike to deflect the first blade of the double bladed saber.
"Rok no surrender to puny little man! No surrender to Jedi! Rok PIRATE!"

Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)"Not on my watch you filthy, stench-ridden Force users..." Devorah snarled, heedless of her comm being open to the others of her crew. Her TIE Defender lept forward, neatly evading the incoming blasts from a group of Jedi starfighters.
The young woman laughed, reaching up to depress a button on the tiny music chip she'd had installed. Dark, decadent, grinding metal music filled the small cockpit, narrowing her awareness to the battle itself and whatever crackled over her headset.
She flung her ship into a tight roll, yanking hard on the steering gear and depressing the rapid-fire button of her laser cannons as she spun. The resulting spray of laser bolts whirled in an almost hypnotic pattern and clipped the wing of one starfighter, sending it careening out of control into another.
"Double kill in my first dogfight, IF 1...you owe me a kiss..." she purred over the comm to Nathaniel.
Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)
Alema cursed as she saw a fleet drop out of hyperspace around them. She turned on the intercom again. "We're surrounded by a fleet of enemy ships. Unless you want to fall into a Jedi trap, I suggest everyone get up off their backsides and get themselves armed."
She opened the channel to Marcus, rethought it, and sent the message to the whole raiding party. "They've got a fleet dropping out of hyperspace around us. Any pilots we've got should be headed for the TIEs, and everyone else has been told to arm up. If you need reinforcements, say the word. Over."
Alema growled to herself and chewed her lip. Relaying messages had its own stresses, not least of which being that Alema was often little more than an observer to the actions of her comrades, and couldn't do anything but run messages for them. She hoped it would be enough.

Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)
The captain cursed, cutting down more men as he made his way to the Jedi. Decisions, decisions. Clearly just running from this point would be difficult. Their ship was huge and easy to keep up with and harass, even with their elite TIE squadron. No, Marcus needed to play some cards here.
"Alema, keep the ship safe and work on disengaging the airlock. If it be a sidelong trap, they probably froze it, being filthy, glow stick wielding buggers." Marcus growled.
Now it became more than a smash and grab job. Lives were at stake. Still, the Jedi made a massive mistake.
"Kill the crew and take the Jedi hostage." Marcus growled into the closed feed comms that all the crew had.
With that, Marcus pulled a Westar-34 pistol and fired multiple shots at Tantor.
Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)
Alema gave a low whistle. Marcus might be right. She tried to recheck some of the ship's settings, since it was at least possible to view them from her position. When she checked the airlocks as Marcus had suggested, she found that the settings had quite simply been deleted. No wonder they were stuck open. The Ferret didn't even know it had an airlock at this point.
Time for the intercom again. "Attention. The airlocks have been jammed open," she began. "Everyone with a weapon, please grab it and get down there. Until I can get those doors closed, you are the only thing standing between those Jedi and the command of this ship. Thanks, and you'll get information when I have it."
She opened the channel to IF 1. "I sent anyone available your way. What've you got? Over."
For a moment Alema slid over to the captain's chair to check his console. Her guess was right; while she could read most of the settings, he had better access to them than she did, at least when it came to the really vital things. She'd need his authorization which...
Yes. She grinned. Running through recent commands, she wormed her way in to check out recent text entered using this console. One of them was probably the authorization needed to change the ship defaults. She didn't have time just yet to coax information out of the computer.
"Ooh!" she exclaimed. "Looks like they had a slicer here." This computer system could do much niftier things than she'd originally expected, including a good old-fashioned brute force attack. On itself.
Running the list of recently entered commands, she set it up to systematically enter them all as authorization and see which one belonged to the captain. It was quite possibly the least efficient way to go about this, but without a better knowledge of the ship's computer it was the best she could do.
This would be a completely impossible task if she didn't already have authorization within the bridge computer system, but at the very least she didn't have to convince it she was allowed to be there. She just needed to convince it she was Marcus.

"@#%$!" She exclaimed as she guarded the front perimiter. The sight of ships all of a sudden decending from hyperspace. They disengaged their cannons and Ava flew down trying to avoid them. The only thing that was going to get her out of this mess was kick-ass flying and even better aim.
As she swooped back up, her signals blared to life as she took multiple shots of her ion cannons. Some did damage and one ship exploded. Her main priority though was making sure none of it hit the Revenge. "One down by me guys! Let's keep it up and give 'em hell!" As her fighter flew back down and around, tailing some ships as she opened fire.

Nathaniel laughed like a crazy man, spinning his TIE into a wild dive that brought him up behind a pair of Jedi starfighters. "Gladly, sweetheart... keep it up and I'll kiss you twice!"
Thumbing his lasers, Nate fired on the fuselage of the lagging starfighter, ripping it to shreds. He swerved around the explosion, whooping in Cheunh, and coming back around to take on the second ship.
"These are Jedi? Not so scary when they don't have their lightsaber!" he shouted into the comm, gleeful.

Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)"These pilots can't be Jedi...we're taking them down too easy. Gotta be straight military types..." Devorah snapped back, snarling to find a starfighter on her tail. Cutting off her words in mid sentence, she slammed her rear shields on full force. She'd diverted full power to them barely in time, though the barrage of blaster fire still made the TIE defender shudder.
The young woman swore a sparkling blue streak in Davish, the language she'd grown up speaking on Deyda. The coarsest, nastiest words came tumbling from her lips, called up from memories of the miners themselves and the overseers at the orphanage. Devorah yanked on the control yoke, sending herself in a barely controlled roll out of the line of fire.
Where her TIE was seconds before, there was a second starfighter bearing down on her, barely avoiding his compatriot's blasts as they turned to pursue her through the maze of ships heading towards the Revenge.

Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)"Was thinking the same thing," Nathaniel replied tersely. "Maybe they're just a... diversion?"
Swearing in Cheunh, the squadron leader flipped his comm off the TIE-frequency to put him back into direct contact with their crazed Captain, Marcus. Quickly, he tried to explain the hunch he and his fellow pilots had about this situation.
"...so what if its an ambush? No treasure at all, other than the reward in shutting us down that the Jedi would have?" he barked.
Nathaniel had to stop talking as he switched his attention back to flying, blasting another starfighter into oblivion.

Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)
As the battle raged on, a single crimson TIE defender blinked out of hyperspace near the outskirts of the conflict and began flying towards the Revenge. Now, the word "flying' being used in the loosest sense of the word, because the fighter was, more accurately, 'smoking and careening without hitting anything' more than it was 'flying'. The craft's pilot, Inson Veritas, was not in the best of moods.
"It was just supposed to be a simple bounty, get in shoot the guy, and claim my award, but nooo-oooo....There had be "spaceport security" and "pursuit craft"...I hate the Abregado- HOLY POODOO!!!"
Inson had just happened upon the blazing conflict around the ship, and he was, for the most part, very ****ing suprised. Pulling up into a tight loop, he avoided collision with another craft- definitely foe, and frantically went on the comm system; "Iron Ferrets! This is IF-err...IF...uh...Look, it's Inson! The guy that cleans all the crap on the ship! I'm back from a bad deal in the Abregado system, and my shields are low, my engines are shot all to hell, basically I'm in no sane condition to fight....Where do you need me???!?!"

Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)Inson? INSON!
Nathaniel blinked in surprise when a fourth TIE appeared on his scanner. He was even more surprised when he heard who it was, the long-lost cabin boy for the Revenge! Flipping his comm back over to the IF frequency, Nate tried to decide where would be the best place for Inson in this skirmish.
"Hey kid... we've got the dogfights pretty handled. Stupid Jedi are here though. Maybe just head aboard the Revenge and help Alema from the bridge? Boarding party is already aboard the Jedi trick ship... up to you, man."
Nathaniel commed Ava and Dev next, wanting a status report on their TIEs and how their end of the dogfighting was going.

Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)
Devorah's violent streak of Davish wasn't ending any time soon, though it had moved from panic into a long litany of terms relating to her pursuers' parentage. None of it human...or humanoid, for that matter.
She'd spent several minutes diving and climbing out of their line of fire, rolling her TIE defender out of the way in the nick of time. The young pilot was beginning to get the impression that they were toying with her, and that made her angry. So livid and enraged that her coppery skin darkened to a true metallic sheen, and her eyes glazed over to a burnt shade of copper not seen in nature.
Devorah snarled a challenge over her open comm, and was devilishly pleased when the fools behind her shouted back and followed. If there was one thing she knew, and knew it better than anyone, it was pure maneuvering. She could wriggle her TIE defender out of nearly any tight spot, much to Nathaniel's chagrin in their SIM challenges.
Pulling up on the control yoke, she sent her TIE end over end to avoid the torpedoes hurtling at her from different angles. "Boys, your aim sucks..." she laughed, low and suggestive. She twisted the TIE hard to the right and in an upward arc, arming her laser cannons and letting loose a barrage into one of them - and watched with a satisfied, feral grin as he exploded brilliantly.

Tantor's first instincts were to deflect the shots.....but he knew from past experience that this was the wrong answer. Tantor joints strengthened as his body went very fluid...his back went parallel to the ground as some shots went over him...then without thinking his back foot extended abruptly sending him into a sideways spin avoiding the shots that were going beneath him....one of the bullets clipped his side...nothing life threatening...but a definate stinging....Tantor's feet reconnected with the ground and Tantor glared over at Marcus.....
"We meet again Marcus Gray......By order of the Jedi Council.....put your weapons down...come with us...and your crew will be treated well....Otherwise....we'll have to determine who the better swordsman truly is."

Marcus shrugged, "I don't mind if you don't."
He brandished his sword, indicating that he would prefer to duel. The captain enjoyed dueling Jedi, for it truely showed him how well he had developed his skills with a cutlass. Those skills saw him a great distance in the last Tournament of the Saber. Unfortunately his necessary absence prevented him from winning.
Stepping forward, he grinned. Gold capped teeth and rum mixed with smoke aroma characterized the man.
"Pathetic excuse for a trap, this be, sort of resembling a ewok call to arms--just missing the lovely music." he grinned, "Surrendering is such a capricious thing to do once I've endangered the lives of me crew for the purpose of swindling and pillaging but endangered them nonetheless I have! So, either continue on said course or surrender..."
The captain shrugged again, "As lovely as a surrender might sound...I'm just going to have to be foolish and say battle."
Re: Wounded, Helpless, and Vulnerable(Open)
Tantor deactivated his second blade....wanting a fair fight if it were to come to that. Readying himself he got into a defensive standpoint...having the advantage of going on the defensive first allowed him to scope out his opponent....Tantor had never fought Marcus...just alot of chasing...this would be an interesting experience.
