Re: On the Fringes...(CFR Only)
The twi'lek rolled one shoulder uncomfortably as she left her host the trouble of restraining what was left of Lilith. She opened her mouth to tell Saede just why that was a terrible plan when Samael delivered what Jill knew could be the final blow to her preferred consort.
Self-sacrifice. Samael understood it better than he thought. He moved too quickly for her to stop him. As soon as he'd pulled Jon's essence out of himself he'd detonated what little was left.
"NO!" The cry burst forth from her throat and even her mind as she blasted her will away from her body. She felt it pass through the crewmembers around her and even through that silly strill inside her host's despicable friend. They weren't her target, though. Her will so bent on the lingering pieces of Jon Paolo, she wrenched herself away from the tempting presence of the others to drink down what was left of him.
"I am Goddess here," she whispered shakily, her eyes wide and darting toward every unexpected motion. "And I will not lose him." She leaned back against the wall and felt the distress of her host. Alema could not hold Lilith and protect Jon at the same time.
Sacrifices. Why couldn't Jill be left alone with Alema?
Gillian opened herself and fully absorbed Lilith's essence into herself, leaving Jon. Leaving Jon to slip down into the back of her identity, down into the comfort and protection her host could offer better than she. Even with Alema taking care of their little refugee, Gillian was completely busy. She felt her skin crawl as tiny pieces of Lilith seeped like rot through her mind.
Jill put her hands down against the wall and pushed herself out into the main hallspace. Her eyes slid over to Saede and she raised one eyebrow as her lips curled in a patronizing smile. "Do this for the rest of the crew?"
With two long steps she was close enough to Saede that she could hear the first mate breathing. It was an audacious and intimate gesture that wouldn't have come from Gillian two minutes ago. The twi'lek's brown eyes met Saede's hazel ones and her smile widened. "I refuse. You are what you eat, and Lilith is going to give me quite enough trouble as it is. We have to find Samael. Jon's body will die soon. After that we can end this. What do you say?" She pouted in a mockery of juvenile pleading. "Have you decided to let me save them?"Edited by: Alema Nilim at: 11/3/07 1:10 pm

"Don't play the wounded Maytr with me," growled Saede, levering herself up. She felt dizzy from the proection from Jon... no Samual. She'd seen it, known that yes there were a half dozen of them, and yet still her mind had rebeled, pushing each one of them out, even the image of the real one to compensate.
Standing up made her nauseous, and she couldn't put a finger on why. The image. Like a bad holocoverter. That was it. The feeling of someone forcing another image than what was truth into her mind. Gritting her teeth, she shook her head violently. Damn him, how had he done that?
"Cut the crap, cut the games, and you and I will save my crew. Together."
