Jon took Serrena’s hand and, bowing slightly said, “Very pleased to meet… no wait.. I remember you. You were with Alema at Mygeeto. You left right before I did, right after she warned you not to leave with me.”

Laughing and stepping close to Alema he said, “I have very good hearing and,.. you weren’t as quiet as you thought you were.”

Taking the knife from her, Jon wrapped his arms around the Twi’lek, pulled her close and nuzzling her ear asked, “Are you sure you want that pie now? I thought we had a different dessert in mind. I’m sure Serrena will understand and excuse us.”

The shock of the moment, of his patent disregard...it was enough to grant Serrena control of her own body back for a moment. Her little spirit friend was so unaccustomed to rejection that her firm grip has loosened. Bright eyes narrowed, wavering between crimson and cerulean.

"I...never...I wouldn't..." the dancer managed to mutter, staring stupidly at the mark on Alema's neck. Maybe she really didn't deserve anyone...after all, she'd lost Andros. Why should this be any different?

For a single, brief moment, her eyes settled in crimson and then she turned and walked away, shoulders slumped. "You can have them all. What the hell would they want with a half-breed whore when they can have you instead?" she shot back over her shoulder, eyes twisting back to blue as the spirit took over again. Moments later, she disappeared through the doorway and slipped out of the mess hall.

Alema squirmed away from Jon just enough to watch over his shoulder as Serrena left them. As much as she gloried in her victory--and in the fact that Jon had voluntarily assisted her to it--the frenzy hadn't died and she could almost hear the sound that kitchen knife would make sailing through the air toward Serrena.

But it was too late, and the young woman was gone.

She turned back to Jon, still annoyed that he'd taken her knife from her. Worse, there was an edge of paranoia to it. "Why are you protecting her? What the hell is going on?" she snapped.

Jon released the Twi’lek, and, stepping to the table, picked up Lori’s lightsaber and put it back in his pocket.

Turing back to Alema he said sarcastically, “I don’t know. I guess I just wasn’t in the mood to watch my first pirates’ knife fight.”

Shaking his head he continued, “Actually, that’s a question I should be asking you. What the hell is going on!? You two are good friends. That was obvious on Mygeeto. You need to tell me, Alema. Please!”

Jon was more concerned than he may have appeared. If the three he had seen so far, Alema, Serrena, and the Mando’ad, were acting so strangely, perhaps the whole crew was affected. He imagined some form of environmental contamination driving everyone mad. If that was the case, he wondered how long he had himself before he would be affected. That reminded him of the roaring in his head. Was that one of the symptoms?

More than anything else, he wanted to get away from everyone else right now and think. Perhaps back in that quiet room he slept in. The silence that room offered seemed awfully appealing right now.

“Alema, please talk to me, Tell me what’s wrong around here,” Jon implored, then as an afterthought added, “Or perhaps I should go ask Serrena. Maybe she will tell me.”

"Or perhaps I should go ask Serrena. Maybe she will tell me."

Alema's eyes widened and her jaw dropped in enraged amazement. "You wouldn't dare. You realize this is what she does! Anytime someone finds something they like or something they want Serrena saunters in and takes it all for herself! And she gets away with it! She's selfish and she's greedy and by the Abyss I've had enough and I have a right to finally stand up for myself!"

After all this he was no better than anyone else. Everything always seemed like it was going just fine until Serrena came creeping into a room. Then she was the center of attention and nobody else mattered. Sure, Serrena could give up, she could leave, but the damage was done. And Jon was no better. Even Alema--Alema herself--had thought perhaps that Jon was safer than that oblivious Mandalorian, and despite the redistribution of power within her, the Twi'lek was still vaguely stunned that they'd both been wrong.

Her whole body tensed in anger, Alema pointed at Jon to emphasize her words. "I've spent more than enough time watching her get everything I want and I won't allow it anymore! I was stupid to allow it this long!" She growled low in her throat and threw her hands in the air in frustration. "If you don't understand that, no amount of explaining will make a difference. I will say this. I'm done letting anything come between me and the things I want. Is that what you're trying to do, Jon? Are you going to become my enemy, too?"

Jon sat on the edge of the table and watched Alema’s tirade in amazement. His comment was meant to try to get her to open up and tell him what going on in the ship if she knew; but, instead it opened what could only be repressed anger, or, at least resentment, towards Serrena. It really surprised Jon to see it. She had seemed so concerned about Serrena at the ball on Mygeeto – or possibly – she just didn’t want Serrena to have the chance to get to know Jon out of.. jealousy.. even then? It really didn’t matter now.

Jon reached out and took Alema’s hands and pulled the reluctant woman closer to him. He put his hands on her cheeks and gently tilted her head so that she had to look him in the eyes.

“Look at me. Listen to me.” He said softly… intimately.

“I had no intentions of going to Serrena. I just thought maybe you would try to keep me from going by opening up to me. I honestly didn’t mean to hurt you or anger you.

Do you remember what I told you before she came in? That was the truth. At this point, I have no need to chase pretty girls for entertainment. I know I want more than that.

But, Alema. What I want right now… what I need… is that Alema I met on Tatooine. Beautiful.. delicate.. Alema, this rage and anger doesn’t suit you. Where is that kind hearted person I met in that bar? I need her.

((OOC: Great post, Jon. Your ass needs to be promoted, like, now.))

In the space of about a second and a half Alema's muscles tensed and she seemed to grow to twice her size like an angry cat bristling its fur.

Liar.

Liar!

LIAR! They all want me!
The dominant will inside her was shrieking with rage. ALL OF THEM! He's LYING!

There wasn't space for thought, there wasn't space for argument. Wide-eyed with rage, Alema could think of nothing to say. She made two swift cutting motions with her arms to knock his hands away from her.

She took a few steps backward, straining against the urge to leap on him and tear the skin from his body with her fingernails. "Bastard," she hissed. "I'm not telling you anything." Alema spun on her heel and rushed out of the galley. Was everyone going to get in her way?

The one person she'd thought would give her the most trouble was already dealt with, she had full possession and rights over this body. But everyone else... they should have been easy. Serrena shouldn't have been allowed to give her trouble. Savin should have been easy. Jon should have been easy. Where was her strategy going wrong? Couldn't they see she was better now than she'd ever been?

Couldn't they just be happy with the change?

Cursing quietly, Jon ran after the Twi’lek.

“Alema, wait,” he called after her, but, he didn’t really expect her to stop.

He had hesitated before following her. He felt he needed to investigate what was causing this insanity, but, he was afraid to leave Alema alone. He didn’t want her to do anything she would regret later – when she was cured.

Sighing at her lack of response, he continued to follow – trying to memorize the corridors and compartments they past.

Jon remembered the crushed look on Serrena’s face when she turned to leave earlier. From what he remembered from Mygeeto, she seemed like a nice lady and he hoped she was all right. More importantly, he hoped Alema wasn’t tracking her to continue their confrontation.

He thought of his med kit containing the various drugs the sith assassin had trained him to use. If he had it, he may just zap Alema with a drug-filled dart and put her somewhere safe to sleep as he tried to unravel the cause of their problems. Unfortunately, it was in his quarters and if he left her to go get it, he may never find her again on this giant ship.

To make matters worse, the roaring in his head was getting louder and more distinct, making it harder to ignore. He wanted nothing more than to retreat to his sanctuary and revel in the silence. But, he couldn’t abandon his friend. Jon was chagrined to realize how close he felt to the Twi’lek, how he hoped… What?! What was he thinking? Just shut up and follow her!

If Jon were more familiar with the layout of the Crimson Ferret's Revenge he might have had more reason for concern. If he were among the near-countless crew who'd been to Serrena's personal quarters Jon would have known sooner that's where Alema's footsteps were taking her.

Need to change my approach. If I can't convince them to do what I like and think it's their idea... then I'll just have to do something more direct.

She turned a corner and found the door cracked a bit. "Too busy coming to make trouble to lock everything up, huh?" she muttered to herself. "Well, I guess that's almost like permission." It was entirely possible that this Alema might have made an even better pirate. One of many things she'd have argued she did better.

So intent was she upon her goal that she thoughtlessly threw the door of Serrena's room open to find it empty. "Probably borrowing someone else's room tonight. I'll borrow hers while she's out. Now where does she keep it..."

Alema dug past little slips of clothing too skimpy to be accurately identified or classified and toys of every exotic variety that Alema did recognize. Quite the little collection, Serrena. I do wonder how often you truly need these, but then again... when did you ever have to NEED something in order to do it?

Jewelry, lingerie, clothing that... might not have been lingerie, and there! Slender blue fingers dove down into the jewel box on Serrena's vanity until they found what they were looking for. Tiny black vials.

"There's my girl. I thought you'd have some."

Glitterstim. Now to find someone with enough influence to pull this plan through.

Following Alema, Jon stepped into the doorway – were these her quarters? – they had a decidedly feminine smell, a smell that didn’t help Jon’s mental status.

Since they left the galley, the roaring in his head had been growing louder and louder. It was so oppressive that he had quit trying to shut it out – he was actually listening to it. It seemed oddly familiar.

Aside from that he had another problem. His imagination was running wild. His thoughts were of how good that brief hug he had given Alema in the galley felt. He watched her delicate curves, how her body moved as she hurried through the ship, and thought of what he’d like to do to that little body. Her lekku… taunted him.

By the time he reached that door and followed her inside he was breathing heavily –and not from exertion. He closed the hatch and flipped on the lock.

When the door shut behind her, Alema whirled around to find Jon standing behind her, clearly intent on something that was beginning to consume his thoughts. A smug little ghost of a smile turned into a victorious grin as she held up one hand, vials of glitterstim balanced between her spread fingers.

"Hey Jon," she said, her previous rage gone in yet another jarring moodflip. "You know, as appropriate as I think it would be to consecrate my victory in Serrena's room, we really can't play right now." Her expression turned serious. "Not until I'm safe. But then, I promise..." she gave him a patronizing little pout. "I promise I'll have plenty of time for you."

She took a deep breath and dropped the glitterstim in one pocket. "These aren't for play, either. I need to find the opposition, and I need to find them quickly." She counted on her fingers. "Saede should be okay, maybe some others. I need to find someone in charge."

Jon didn’t know what she was talking about. Someone in charge? Who cares?

In a husky whisper he told her, “Alema, love. Some things just won’t wait.”

He grabbed the front of her blouse and pulled her close to him. Seizing her mouth with his, he kissed her roughly,.. passionately. Moving his kisses to her neck, he slid his hands under her arms and around her. His hands found her lekku and caressed them. Holding a lek in each hand, he once again found her mouth and relished in it, giving her one long, deep kiss after another. Finally, giving her lower lip a tug with his lips, he picked her up and threw her on the bunk where he quickly straddled her.

Pinning her hands above her head with one hand, he hurriedly unbuttoned her blouse and pulled it apart exposing her breasts. Jon gasped at the sight. They were gorgeous – perfect in every way. Jon - had - to taste them.

Bending forward, mouth ready to sample his prize, Jon suddenly felt what must have been a lightening bolt striking his head. He rolled off the little twi’lek and fell to the floor as if struck by a club. Grasping his head and writhing in agony, a voice, clear as a bell, shouted at him, “JON PAOLO BURKE – WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!?!!”

Eyes wide with horror and staring sightlessly at the ceiling, Jon cried, “Lori?!?” before fainting.

Alema sighed and rolled over onto her stomach. With her chin resting on her fingers she tilted her head. She stared down at Jon on the floor and gave another sad little sigh.

So anticlimactic. She shook her head. "And not the first time today," she finished aloud. "That tears it. That really tears it."

She got up and dropped her shirt on the floor next to the unfortunate collapsed Jon Paolo. Taking the next few steps over to Serrena's closet, she stood half-nude with her index finger held against her lips thoughtfully and assessed her options. This was really getting out of hand, and she needed to do a better job of asserting her authority.

Alema yanked off her boots and kicked off her trousers. There were better options here, she knew it. Oddly enough under all that masculine clothing, the Twi'lek was wearing a very minimalist dark green thong. (Serrena would have understood were she there. Thongs are comfortable.)

"Hm..." She crouched down to dig through Serrena's wardrobe, and every now and again glanced over her shoulder to find her roommate still passed out on the floor. Poor bastard. Is everyone doomed to be totally useless to me until I take control of this situation? Such a shame.

Then... she found the section of Serrena's wardrobe devoted entirely and solely to-- "Leather," she said with a grin. No better way to speak to that animal sense of dominance and submission than this. She slid slender blue legs down into sheaths of leather, pulling the material up and zipping it tightly over her breasts up to a high collar. It took her nearly two full minutes to lace the boots from ankle to thigh, but when she finished she strode over to her new companion and nudged him with her shoe until he started coming around.

"Jon," she said, looking down at him. "Get up. We're leaving. I have business to attend to and you're going to assist me or a lot of people on this ship are going to be very very sorry you didn't."

Jon Paolo was and he wasn’t. All that existed of his physical body was a throbbing headache that acted as a beacon to return to when this journey was complete. Otherwise he could have been lying on a bed of coals, encased in a block of ice, or immersed in water and he wouldn’t have known it. He was drifting with no active sense other than that of hearing.

What he heard was a voice. A familiar voice. A beloved voice. He heard Lori and he was trying his best to find her.

“Jon, stop struggling. You aren’t strong enough with the force to see me. It was hard enough getting your attention. If your visitant hadn’t finally broken your resistance, I wouldn’t have been able to speak to you.”

“But, Lori. You’re dead. I saw it happen. How can you be talking to me.”

“Jon, I don’t have long to explain. Are you familiar with the concept of a Force_ghost - a manifestation of the spirit of a Jedi contained within the Force?”

“No, Lori. You know I never paid any attention to that Jedi mumbo-jumbo.”

Lori laughed. It was the same sweet, heart-felt laugh Jon remembered of her and the sound of it broke his heart.

“Lori…" Jon implored.

“I’m sorry, Jon-Jon. I really am. You know there’s no place I’d rather be than with you. I told you I always loved you, and Jon, I always will – it will just have to be from where I am now. And that’s really why I’m here - I sensed your danger. Jon, this ship has been invaded by a malevolent form of parasitic force ghost. Jedi would never force themselves into a person’s mind. These creatures use that skill as a tool to take over hosts. Your little friend there has been completely taken over by her visitant.

"Alema?"

"It may be her body, Jon; but, it’s not her. Be careful. I’ve got to go. You have to go back soon and you need a chance to reestablish your resistance to your invader. I drove him away but he’ll be back. Sorry about that, too, it probably hurt a bit, but, I had to stop you.. I couldn’t believe what you were about to do!

Was it his imagination or did she sound jealous. Can a ghost be jealous?

"If you find yourself losing to him, Jon, retreat to your quiet place! Bye, love! She’s calling you…..

Lori, wait!

"Try to remember what I’ve told you!"

Jon gasped. He flailed around like a drowning man trying to return to his beacon. As he gradually regained consciousness he heard Alema saying, "Get up. We're leaving. I have business to attend to and you're going to assist me or a lot of people on this ship are going to be very very sorry you didn't."

Jon sat up. Was that a dream? Did Lori really just speak to him, or, was it just a wishful dream? All he knew for sure was that his headache was better and the noise was much quieter.

He stood up and looked at Alema. What the hell? Black leather?

“Going dominatrix on me, Alema?” he quipped.

"That depends on how much more trouble you plan to make for me, Jon." So what if she was? What was wrong with a woman asserting herself? She wasn't going to let him cut her down just because he'd gotten all panicky. That was his problem.

She rested her fists on her hips, seemingly annoyed with the way Jon was conducting himself. "Well? Are we going to play around at rape for a while again, or are you going to listen to me?" He probably didn't even remember what she'd said. No one ever listened.

Soon they'll realize I have their best interests at heart, and I'm asking so little in return...

Jon hung his head. Even though he had serious doubts about who was really in control of Alema’s body, he was ashamed of how he had treated her.

“I’m sorry, Alema, truly sorry. I don’t know what came over me. You’ve been nothing but kind to me and you didn’t deserve that… attack.”

If it isn’t just a dream… If Alema really is possessed by an evil ghost… Jon wanted to stay with her to try and protect – her body – for when, and if, the crisis is resolved.

“Yes. I’ll come with you. I’ll help you to the best of my ability. All I ask is that you truthfully answer one question…. Who are you?

Alema was taken aback by that particular inquiry. Such an odd thing to question coming from a man who was clearly not completely in control of himself. Just as fair for her to ask him who he was.

No... no, she knew what he meant. She knew what he was asking. It wasn't his fault that his question was irrelevant. Who she had been and how long she had been controlling this body had little if anything to do with who she was now.

She smiled and replied, "Alema," and meant it. If not me... then who is? She unlocked Serrena's door and peeked out into the hallway. The madness hadn't found its way over here quite yet, and that was fortunate. Time was running low, and she needed to find a few crewmembers still in command of themselves. "Jon, do you know how many people still have their heads on straight? I'll need at least another assistant or two in case you flake out on me again. I might have to put out a call, and I don't know how thrilled I am at that prospect."

Alema, the only two people on the ship I've met are you and Serrena. I'm afraid I can't help you with that.

You don't have to worry about me, though. I know how to keep from losing it again. Lori told me.

"Lori," she said. "Hmph. The Jedi." This was mildly troubling. If he were in contact with the fading remnants of some little Jedi and if she'd told him how to manage himself under these circumstances, she might have told him in no uncertain terms what was going on. The fact that he'd point-blank asked her who she was suggested this. He probably knew. Knowledge might not be something she could hold over the others. Perhaps Jon also knew, and that reduced her bargaining room somewhat.

No matter, she thought. I still know where we're going and how to get there. Just means I have to prove my usefulness before we do anything else.

"Well, I'm glad that you and Lori had a nice little chat," she said with a faint sneer. "But I'm afraid right now you'll have to depend on me for a couple of things. We need to find a member of the crew who's pretty gone. We can go for the default options and grab Savin or Serrena." Alema chewed her lower lip thoughtfully. "Serrena might be a better option for now. They'll almost certainly put up a fight, and I don't want to fight Savin. Seen it once and it wasn't pretty; we don't need to be on the receiving end of it."

She held the door open for Jon as she walked out into the hall. "So let's find our pretty little dancer and I'll prove that I know what's going on and how to fix it."

From the side of the hallway opposite Serrena's room, a shallow whistle cut the rather awkward silence that had hit the room, as a young teen sporting an interesting hairdo and a carbon-scored face walked a little further into the threshold.

"Wowser...I'd say you, 'Lemur', are pretty good looking in the leather, and you...The narcoleptic, are straight-up crazy, but what do I know?"

Inson Veritas, the ever-lovable, slightly corrupted, but childlike bo'sun of the Crimson Ferrets Revenge had spent the last few minutes thoroughly confused. With that high-powered arc blaster Saede had let him rent for cleaning, which he was pretty sure was illegal in most sectors of the galaxy, he had managed to destroy the whatever it was that would have killed them this time (well, that little alarm warning him of deadly biological stuff had shut up, at least), but after putting his Clean-O-Blaster OVR-9000 away, he had noticed that the rest of the crew was acting, well...Kinda weird. Of course, all of his observations had come from the galley area, so he spent a majority of his time simly observing and hoping none of the weirdness would get to him in a bad way.

Then he heard shouting, shouting he knew could belong only to his favorite Comms officer in the whole-wide-galaxy, Alema "Lemur" Nihlim. Of course, being the naturally inquistive fellow that he was, Inson trailed her and her male companion. It was noise, and hey, they seemed pretty normal.

What he had found was anything but normal. With a blushing face, he had stood just inside Serrena's door and watched this crew member, who he should have known, but didn't, suddenly go lusty on Alema, who in turn took his sudden collapse as a sign of disappointment! Now, Inson had known Alema for some time, not a long time, but some, and this seemed odd, even for her. Still, out of respect, Inson left them to whatever business they had, and felt that this emergence of this rather forceful (ie, different) Alema was worth investingating, but they still didn't seem as weird as some of the people saw and avoided on his way up here.

The cabin boy decided to reiterate his greeting;

"...Hi guys...Do you guys have any clue what's going on? There I was, minding my own business killing some germ in the galley with a high powered lightning blaster, and then everyone goes all kooky!" he sighed, "...I had a feeling going after this booty might be a bad idea..."

Jon looked at Alema and smiled, quietly saying, “Don’t worry friend, I won’t leave you.”

He was talking to the real Alema and he hoped she was able to hear, if not respond.

Since his conversation with Lori, Jon felt at peace for the first time in… well, since she died. He knew she was gone, but, now he knew she was OK. She sounded good actually – like the old Lori he knew - and, it was just like her to still be trying to take care of him. She always did. He just hoped that if she ever wanted to chat with him again, she would find some other way to get his attention – his head still ached from what seemed like lightening bolts she set off in there.

Focusing on matters at hand, to the other Alema he said, “Serrena it is then. Have any idea where she might be.”

Then an odd little character named Inson popped up out of nowhere.

“and you...The narcoleptic, are straight-up crazy, but what do I know?"

Jon chuckled at the comment, understanding why anyone would be of that impression if they witnessed anything that had been happening – especially since they reached Serrena’s room.

“If you think I’m crazy now, you should see me on a bad day. I’m Jon Paolo, a new member of the crew Alema recruited. And you are?”

"Inson, you have no idea how much trouble you're in," Alema responded vaguely. "But the answer is yes. You're chasing something... very interesting. You may or may not want it once you've found it..." Jon introduced himself to their boatswain and she blinked a few times and seemed to really look at him for the first time. "Wait. Inson. You look confused. Excellent. You're not involved. I need you to stay with us."

The question was... should she count on them to locate Serrena without her aid, and save her other resources for later? Or would they need her to expand the paltry sensitivities of this host to track down the unfortunate girl?

Fortunately, Alema still had contacts on this ship, and still had a place in the heirarchy that made reconnaissance much easier. Striding over to a wall-mounted comm down the hall, Alema keyed in the extension for one of the officers on the bridge. He didn't generally have much to do excepting the occasional whiskey run for the captain, so Alema thought he might be available for one more errand.

"Cobalt here. You have access to the security cams from where you are? Over."

There was a short pause before the comm crackled to life again. "Affirmative, Cobalt. What can I do for you? Over."

She was still the comms officer of this ship, and whoever she might have been, all she needed were the memories to have the skills, and she had access to everything now. Her voice was a perfect echo of that upbeat and courteous manner Alema had over the comm that gave her the detached professional air of a shuttle stewardess. "Find me Serrena Alcine, would you please? Over."

Another pause, longer this time. "Seems to be on the move, headed for the crew barracks. Over."

"Thank you. Much appreciated. Cobalt out." She left the comm to lean on the opposite wall. "Dipping into the same candy dish, she said," Alema mused. "The same... I wonder." Alema tapped her index finger against her lower lip. "Boys, we're headed to the barracks. Willing to bet that after being rejected she's gone to find someone she knows will have the time and patience to play her little games."

Without further comment, Alema headed down the hall to find the residential area of the ship. This was her little expedition for now, and if they wanted to see what she had planned they would need to follow her lead just a little longer.

Jon gave Inson another curious look and followed the possessed twi’lek.

He was concerned because the roaring was beginning to return. His braggadocio regarding Lori telling him how to resist the invading entity had a major flaw. It required him retreat to the quiet room – the holding room he spent the night in. If he did that, he couldn’t stay with Alema and help her if the opportunity presented itself. He resolved to fight it as long as he could – leaving his new friend only as a last resort. After all, he would be of no use to her if he were possessed. He might actually be more of a danger considering recent events.

He was concern about another matter as well. Why was he feeling so close to the twi’lek so soon? He knew these feelings were his own – not generated by an apparition. But, why.. did he feel so close to her.. so protective of her.. so concerned about her?

He grinned wryly thinking that possibly she had used her training on him after all. If so, at this point he really didn’t care. He just wanted to some how rid her of her visitor and get to know the real Alema. If after all this, she wants to have anything to do with me – he thought.

His feeling of frustration was growing. He hated having no options.. no recourse. For now, all he could do was follow along.

"So, Alema. I’ve agreed to help. Care to fill me in on your plan?"

Alema didn't slow her long, purposeful strides to stop and explain what was going on. They'd simply have to keep up because while she was still with them Alema needed to make sure they stayed on track. "I really don't care to fill you in, actually. But I'm going to have to," she answered.

"My sensitivity is sadly limited right now, but I can get a better idea of how many people are having problems, and what's more important.... who isn't." The real question was... did she want to seek out more of the crew now and be of less use capturing Serrena? The alternative was to wait. "Okay. Here's the thing." Finally Alema did stop and turn to address the others. "I was hoping to find someone in charge to deal with, but it looks like we're just going to have to find anybody stable. You're both pilots and that'll help."

She looked over her shoulder toward the barracks apprehensively. "You're going to have to get Serrena and probably drag her kicking and screaming to a Jedi holding cell. She will fight you as soon as she realizes what you're doing." Because I would. she thought. "Inson, you know where those are. I can't go with you there, but if there's anyone left who's still all right--and by my guess there should be--I'll call them here once I know who they are."

Alema pulled the vials of glitterstim from her pocket. "I'm willing to bet Serrena is headed for Savin's room, so you should give that a try. Head her off before she gets there; Savin's not in his right mind and you don't want to deal with him without her help." She smirked. "He needs a woman's touch. She'll be able to help you once you've gotten her sorted out."

She put one vial back in her pocket for later, keeping two out in her hand. John had a good idea of how much of the drug was in a single vial, and the idea that she'd stolen three meant that a rather hefty dose was on the horizon. Either she was trying to overdose, or she just had one hell of a tolerance. "I'm going to stay here. You deal with Serrena. Bring her back to me when she's sane."
