Talon/Chloe

Chloe followed pouring herself and Met a cup of tea. She took one for herself and handed one off to Met. She knew he was a sith but he was still family. The teen decided that she ought to be nice plus he knew her father. Perhaps he could tell her more about her father and her family in general.

Chloe sipped at her tea as Talon talked to her about how she had to give the ship back and how her father loved her. The padawan had heard it all before but somehow coming from her cousin it made sense. She believed him when she didn’t believe anyone else.

“I always thought that he didn’t love me that he wished I was never born, that I’m a failure. He has a new family and has no need of me now. I know he’s a busy Jedi Master but he could at least have given me a card on my birthday so I know he does remember me. One day I’ll make my family proud of me.”

Chloe sighed and took a sip of her tea. She didn’t like the idea of giving this ship back to anyone but it seemed she didn’t have a choice. The nice thing to do was give it back.

“I would love to see your ship sometime!”

Jabez had hoped that the fact that Korran was talking would have gotten his entire focus, and that such a simple attack would have hit its mark. He was wrong on both accounts, the Sith merely stepping to get out of his range. His lightsaber was pushed to the side by the spear, the tip was hel d near the young Jedi's face. Once again the Sith started to talk, once again his voice portrayed an arrogance that his expression.

"Heh, that was bold of you, attacking and all before the woman could answer. I would have atleast thought that you, as a Jedi, would have the honor to let the battle break long enough for me to finish my talk with the lady Jedi."

"Don't pretend to have an information about something you know nothing about." Jabez said right before the force screamed at him once again. Once again, he tried to move out of the way of an attack. The spear went straight for his face, which barely moved enough for the blade to only draw blood instead of a more fatal blow. But Jabez knew he couldn't win like this. He had to get some distance between them. It only took seconds for him to realize what needed to be done, and he leapt backwards just as the ax threatened to cleave him in two.

If he hadn't had use of the force, his tiny limbs would have really made things more difficult. Of course he wouldn't be here, either. "Allow me to teach you, Sith. There is no emotion, there is peace. That means that decisions must be based on a calm understanding. You think that a Jedi must be scruptulously honest? A Jedi does what a Jedi must, for the good of the galaxy. We act despite a distaste for such trickery, for the force lacks such emotions." His lightsaber was held out in front of him, pointing towards the enemy that was four feet in front of him. Now it would be time for the young Knight to wait, find an opening, then hopefully end this fight.

Blood. The spear had drawn his blood. Perfect. It means he is weakening, it is only a matter of time now. The corner of one of his eyes caught the woman in the act. Three shots, one wide, two on target. That is what the Force told him. He kept his axe moving and the pole rested on his shoulder to allow the axe to cover his back. The two shots his the axe and died there. The build of the axe, and the whole spear for that matter, would allow it to absorb blaster shots. It could not deflect them like a lightsaber, but this was more than enough.

He was pinned so to speak, which left him aggrivated. Two enemies, one on each side of him. He could deal with it but this was not the ideal way to fight. And that silly little Jedi boy just would not die when he should, but he was weakening. The Sith turned sideways, his left facing the woman, and his left hand shot out towards her. From this hand a wave of Force energy exploded. His build up of energy stolen from the dead aided him here.

With the wave shot his hand returned to the spear. It was already poised for the next attack because of the way he had blocked the shots. He pulled the spear end down and the axe end came arcing around towards the Jedi's head. Daritha would end this quickly. Naboo would burn.

Metran's eyes narrowed as he watched the two of them. The Sith was subtle, he had to grant that. Nothing in what he said or did was an obvious attempt to discredit the Jedi in general or Chloe's father in particular, yet he knew exactly what buttons to push. At the same time, the perception of graciousness held Met' at bay perfectly - the Jedi couldn't say or do anything without appearing crass in the face of the well-mannered Sith.

He remained in the back and kept his opinions to himself; this was mostly a family matter anyway. It would be a personal success for him if they all made it to Naboo without anyone coming to harm. What happened after that was a concern for later. For now he remained quiet and alert - just in case the Sith decided that he had enough of good manners.

“Discipline, knowledge and faith,” said Yoshiro, quoting three of the pillars of the Bendu faith.

The sledgehammer hurtled through the air, but its unwieldy size prevented it from being a deadly missile. Yoshiro weaved away just in time to avoid the head of the hammer crushing his toes. HE stood still, motionless, and fixed Steph with a stoic stare.

“I will not fight an unarmed opponent,” he said.

Serapis, Orocus, Kyp.. oh my..

The power was successfully restored. In the end it had been a simple matter of attaching of few of the older systems power couplings and flipping a few switches. Power was pulled, in supply, from other connecting sector grids and fed through the old obsolete system. Save for a few of the newer additions to the district, the ones that had not been previously wired to the old system, everything was up and running.

Three Sith departed the area. What had formerly been comforting darkness was now, once more, illuminated with abrasive light. By now though the Sith presence had already made it's move, spreading out across the district like fog. Stamping out the threat of the Jedi. Intelligent citizens were safe inside their now lit homes, keeping their doors locked, treating the invasion with the seriousness that was due.

Adrasteia's path through the city world seemed random and twisting, as if she was being led to something that kept changing direction on her. They were presently headed in the general direction of the senate, to where they could do the most damage. Already she could feel a red haze of violence fall over her. The lust for carnage was not yet her own, but that of someone close to her, someone already engaged in battle.

In the stinging brightness of the street, she smiled.. "We are getting very close.."

She felt a beam of light fall on her from high above and looked up..

No, not light.

A lightbringer..

One of those responsible for the slaughter in the streets. One of those who had thought nothing of the people of Coruscant, or of what they would lose in the struggle to claim the planet. A Jedi..

Adrasteia stopped in her tracks, her two apprentices flanking her. She nodded up to the spot where the presence stood, a silent sentinel of a failing fight. A confrontation was in order.

"Let's bring him down to our level.."

Her cloak tucked around her face and form. She summoned the darkside from within herself, and from the very space around the trio with a malicious grin. In her mind she could both see and feel the dark tendrils of the force, stirring at her behest. They curled around her like writhing serpents, winding ever closer and closer until they were finally expelled.

The macabre, melodic sound of her laughter merged with the shattering of glass, both cold and brittle. A rain of shattered glass began to fall like crystals from the sky, heralding the descent of larger shrapnel and building materials. The reverberations of the steel girders connection with the platform below were ear splitting and echoed on and on, as did her laughter. The demolition falling around them preceded the Jedi Sentinel, who regretfully had not been impaled in the process. He landed unharmed.

"You arrest me in the name of the Jedi Code. And yet you do not follow it. At least dont mock the order that you pretended to follow for so long. Arrest me in the name of the Sith, those who you truly follow."

Caleb moved slowly and rose. He was unarmed, he was surrounded. It was over.

"Tell me Master Corringath, are you so certain that we are in breach of the code here? Are you so certain that the Jedi are invading a peaceful planet? So sure of what a few Sith told you that you would attack and murder your own brothers?"

He shook his head.

"The Jedi Brotherhood, noble ideals once. Lofty Ideals, I once looked upon the brotherhood with respect. But if this is how the Jedi of the brotherhood fare. Then I am glad I chose the Council."

He smiled at him, a dry humorless smile.

"Arrest me then, but I ask you one thing. At least try and be sure of what motivates you before you condemn yourself. You have stepped on the dark path, but I know you can yet turn back. Be sure of your next steps Master, for you can yet save yourself. Despite your actions...redemption is still possible. Make sure that what you heard was the truth, be sure that your actions as justifiable. I think...I think, you owe Master Brayden at least that much."

He nodded, to himself.

"See, I am more of a Jedi than you will ever know."

So that attack could of gone better. It wasn't easy to throw a sledgehammer at someone, it wasn't exactly as if it was made of plastic. His first comment just completely passed her head but his second comment insulted her. Unarmed? He didn't have a clue how dangerous she was with her fists. Steph was not one to use the force often, she opted to use to more physical approach, fighting was her passion and she had done her fair share of brawling from practically living in pubs for the past five years.

"Unarmed you say?!" She opened her robe slightly, showing the hilt of her lightsaber and her bloodied knife. "Oh I have weapons but I don't think I'll need those..." Lifting her fists, she smirked as she dropped into a boxing stance. "...yet" She muttered under her breath.

Slowly she began to approach the Jedi, deciding on what would be the best method of attack. As usual, her first plan of attack would involve the art of deception, something she often used in battle. When she was in range to attack her left fist shot out to punch the Jedi in the gut but at the same time her right fist was flying around in aim to try and catch the Jedi's nose.

Two Sith soldiers approached the broken Jedi from behind and took him by the arms to escort him to a vehicle that would take him back to the dungeons in the temple. The ghost moved away, finding other victims to feast on and Maleficus did likewise.

One hand down and with a wound in his side, he wasn't doing as well as he would like, but he assumed the Jedi would be doing worse. Any doubts he had were swept away as he focused on the force, hearing the roar of the ghosts, the fury and rage swirling all around him, he smiled and ran through the battlefield to find a Jedi.

The attack from the Sith. The control of the situation held by C'orringath. Both were too much for him. As he was once again knocked to the floor. His rage built up. He felt the dark side scratching at his heart. The lightsaber was brought up, and as he looked up, he was greeted by his mentor's lightsaber.

He was being placed under arrest. His cream white lightsaber deactivated, being put in his pocket. Tears once again welled in his unnatural green eyes. Brown hair fell around him as he looked up at the one eyed man before him. "Please, Master C'orringath... Please don't do this..." The Sith Soldiers he knocked back grabbed him by the arms, forcing him to his feet. "Shut your mouth, boy." the captain hissed.

"Please..." he pleaded, tears beginning to stream down his face as he looked to his former friend.

"I said, shut up!" The Captain's gun connected with the back of Abaddon's head. In one fierce blow, the Jedi Knight was knocked out cold. He limped in their arms, the men stumbling to counteract the dead weight they held. Tossing the boy up over one of the soldier's shoulders, the captain nodded to Master C'orringath and walked off.

The transport dropped down, and the group got on board with their prisoner. As the transport lifted off, the captain grabbed his datapad. With a smirk of confidence, he gazed at their capture. Lord Sennou would be most proud. The Captain dialed in the Sith Master's number to tell him the news.

"You're not as cut off as you may think young one, when your brother and sister were in my care, not a day went past where I would not receive a communication from your father so that he could keep up to date on how they were and I'm sure he is watching over you just the same. Just open yourself to the force and you will feel him there for you and you will know that you have made him proud."

Anything further that the Sith might have to say was interupted by an excited screeching from a little astromech droid as it bolted across the ship towards him after having ascended from the engine room on a small lift. Talon turned with a laugh as the R4 droid crashed into him and bowled him over.

"It's good to see you again too R4, you crazy little droid." Talon grinned, picking himself up and patting the droids dome head.

"I would be glad to give you a tour of the Solstice one day, and if you're good I'll even take you out on the Equinox." He smiled at Chloe, the Solstice was an advanced Super Star Destroyer with unique Chamelion technology and the Equinox was his vessel of choice when he needed to be a bit more subtle.

"So, how have you found yourself to be the travelling companion of my young cousin...?...sorry I don't think I caught your name." He said turning his attention back to Metran.

“Apparently I’ve been too kind here,” he hissed, contempt building within him, striding slowly closer.

“You’ve proven yourself formidable, but you mistake something in me for weakness.”

As he spoke, one hand rose slowly from his side into the air. Tiny spider-web cracks appeared in the glass windows that made up half the wall space inside the private dock.

“Perhaps I wasn’t clear before,” he spat, the cracks increasing. He’d have gladly left by his own accord, but wouldn’t tolerate any command from a Jedi.

Without continuing, Monnik shattered the glass. Tiny shards of death shot in a glistening storm past him, narrowly swooping around the imposing manner of his form and straight towards the Jedi. Hundreds of pieces that would mangle their target if let to continue on their course spiralled in what appeared to be a blizzard of razor crystal.

At the moment that he heard the glass start to crack, Kamon quickly found with his eyes what he could use to deflect it. It had been used against him before, back when he was a knight, and it had nearly killed him that time. This time would have been no different if Kamon hadn't seen it coming. Fortunately, there were repairs going on within the spaceport, and this current hanger was still having some work done on it. As a result their were some loose peaces of durasteel on the walls.

Grabbing one of those sheets off the wall quickly, he brought it forward right in front of him and crouched down beneath it. It wasn't exactly the largest piece and his arms still stuck out a bit as he put them on top of his head to protect it. The shards of glass shot past him, some of them slicing into his arms which drew a wince, but he didn't cry out or do anything else until it was over. Then he grabbed up the glass with the Force and threw a large chunk of it right back at Monnik.

"Games, Monnik. You may have cut my arms, but I've had worse done," he said as he flexed his mechanical hand.

Caleb

Keeping his lightsaber trained on the surrendered Caleb Torran, and even on the comatose knight on his other side, well aware of the abilities of his own kind. As Caleb spoke to C'orringath, the master's only reply was to silently, cooly stare directly into the knight's eyes with his mismatched set of both physical and metaphysical occular orbs and say nothing. While this transpired, the discarded hilt that once belonged to Caleb Torran levitated slowly and floated, complacently, obediently, into the folds of C'orringath's robe. not until this was done and taken care of did C'orringath speak. His voice was calm now, slow, but piercing;

"Yes... You chose the council. And I choose now, to follow what I see with my own eyes, and feel with my own instinct. This mission, this attack on Coruscant, needs more proof than we were given before it could be justified. But there was no reconnaissance, nothing, we all just assumed, and assumed wrong. These assumptions reacted with our long-felt need for revenge on the injustices that the Sith have drawn on the galaxy...But now is not one of those injustices, as we can see by the disturbances of the peace caused by the Jedi presence here, and the balancing act; the civil disturbances that were created with the hope of driving the Jedi out. Yes, this time, I go with my own instinct, away from that Council. I never thought I would see the day this happened, but it appears now that are gravest enemies adhere to the Code better than we do."

C'orringath turned away from Abaddon now, putting away his second lightsaber in the process. Once again using the dual-phase feature of his lightsaber, C'orringath lowered the length of the blade so he could close the distance between himself and Caleb, thereby making his surrender official, binding. Bringing the slightly lowered saber blade to the neck of his former comrade, C'orringath finished, his voice echoing now with dark undertones, undertones not present before, but which drove his point home to the defeated Jedi before him.

"Jedi Caleb Torran....Do not question my loyalties to the Code again. If anything, it is all that I am loyal to, I go where it calls. Despite your prideful notions, I assure you, what I do is purely in the interest of the code; weeding out Jedi that would be detrimental to the Order...Already I can feel the presence of the dark side creeping into my mind, but if this mission brings me to join the ranks of the Sith, then so be it!"

He spoke now to Mason, who had remained silent.

"...In any case, I believe your government would benefit largely from seeing these two terrorists, these attackers, those that would threaten their security, face to face. That way the government of Coruscant can see up close what kind of being would wish to end the Utopian peace they have fought hard to establish."

Not surprise, but pride was Peiori's reaction to the knight's burst of strength from the whirling maelstrom of sand. As the blade of her saber shot through the sandstorm, Peiori could see her once flawless skin, slashed and eroded by the spinning sand, the force of friction destroying and separating her outermost layers of flesh, revealing, not an alabaster skin, but a strained and dried pink flesh...A flesh that would be most delicious.

Peiori could not think about such things now, as he quickly maneuvered out of the way of her thrusting blade. The lightsaber struck the outer folds of his robe, causing the smell of burning cloth to invade his nostrils, but the Sith master pressed on.

Continuing his sidestep of her attack, he arrived at what would have been her side and thrust his hand forward. Inside the storm, which would be fading soon if Peiori didn't stop the rain of fire, the sand would not seem to simply lash her from that side, but to form a large, clawed hand that would see her face out and mean to rip it off of her skull; she would be lucky if the master proved to be less accurate and forceful, and merely caught her throat instead.

"Ah, shut up,

The Jedi, usually philosophers who were thought of so highly as elegant speakers, and now it was Mikel that did the most talking. It was Mikel that seemed to know more about the Jedi Code, and it was Mikel that seemed to have what the Jedi sought. The moral high-ground, it was good to have for once. Of course, that was only because the Jedi were proving themselves to not really be Jedi. Especially this one, who seemed to get more annoyed as time went on. It was the taunting, though that wasn't the true intention of what Mikel had said.

The Sith Master wanted to end this fight, quickly, and get back to things that actually interested him. One strike sidestepped, the other was parried, and the fight would have annoyed Mikel normally. But something about it brought a smile to his face. Was it the fact that he, a Sith Master, was proving to be more of a Jedi than a Jedi Knight? Was it the fact that this fight was proving to actually be the test that he desired for the blade and his skills with the weapon?

Whatever caused the smile, it was still there as the Jedi went on the attack once again. The response, it was almost automatic. One end of the weapon met with the lightsaber, pushing it to the side and holding it there for precious moments. That was only the precursor, though, as one hand removed itself from the hilt.. With the sheer presence of the darkside around him, he was able to bring forth the blue sparks that started to race towards the Jedi Knight's face.

Sand formed before her, no longer the chaotic ruse of dust caught within a torrent. It had shape, form, never before had she faced such ungodly forces that now surmounted to behead her.

Moving quickly, she jumped from its grasp... but twas the impossible to escape a deity so great. The roughed grip of the storm caught around her neck and began to choke her. Not simply by constricting her neck, but also by its composition.

Sand filled within her mouth, her nose... swirling around her to try to come inside her. To block out all life... to end what lay at its merciless mercy.

Korriban

After several hours back at his raider organizing the Jedi troops on Korriban Niko received an urgent call from the Jedi Temple on Naboo. The Sith had not committed their full Force to the defense of Korriban or of Coruscant and had sent a Force to attack Naboo. Niko had opposed the plan to attack Coruscant, but since his arguments were not heard and the plan had gone forth, he had volunteered to go with the group to Korriban. He had hoped to at least keep the Sith busy and at least give this plan a chance to succeed. However the reports that were coming in from Coruscant and Naboo the situation was not good. Finally Niko made his decision. “This is Jedi Knight Niko Brix” Niko began on the Jedi com channel. “I am pulling out my ship to return to Naboo which is under attack. Any Jedi wishing to retreat now with me report soon, I have begun the preflight procedures.”

Shakti slung her leg over her speeder bike and sighed again. This was all so ridiculous. She was still caught on the fringes of this assault on Coruscant, and so from her narrow perspective the Sith reaction was as disorganized and random as the initial attack had been. If she'd been back at the Wayne residence when this all broke around them, perhaps Shakti would have had a more solid idea of how she could contribute, but for now it seemed like her opportunities to pitch in were limited by her knowledge of what exactly the Sith needed from her.

Gripping one handle, Shakti reached forward and started the bike, jolting forward against her inertia as the speeder came to life and propelled her at a reckless speed back toward the Wayne residence. Somewhat lost in her own thoughts, Shakti was jarred back to reality by a shockwave that came pounding through the Force and flowed through her whole body. Shakti was no empath, but she didn't have to notice emotions to pick up on a Sith in battle... not with a beacon like that.

Sure, it was possible she was getting in over her head to even consider following, and a battle of this magnitude could get her killed. Any Sith who could create a pulse like that probably had little reason to look out for an apprentice like Shakti, even one hoping to assist.

But damn it all. Maybe it'll at least be interesting, Shakti thought. The engine screeched in protest as Shakti made a quick decision. She gauged her location relative to that beacon, and turned her bike toward it.

So far today Shakti had been denied a real fight. For better or worse, her luck might be about to change.

Katrina picked up her com and listened to the message again. She had to go back home and defend Naboo. She didn’t want to lose that planet; it had been her home for some long plus out of all the jedi controlled planets it was the nicest.

Running she headed back on the ship she had come to this planet on. Katrina was very happy to be getting off this piece of rock. “Niko, I’m coming with you,” she exclaimed as she took a seat in the back again.

“Games,” he repeated, glaring.

The sabre was still active, humming at the Sith’s side. His weapon hand itched to strike again, but he would not unless it became a necessity. The Jedi appeared, at least on the surface, to be a creature of reason.

“Force me off your, planet Jedi. Give me reason,” his gaze was unflinching, challenging. “I’m quite comfortable here. I see no reason to leave.”

In the darkened chambers of the jedi archives, Wholi could see little of what transpired on the surface. But he could certainly feel it. A being of great power was roaming loose in the city and the master could feel the pain of those who stood against it. "I guess it's time to put what i've learned to the test." He muttered as he left the chamber and began climbing the spiral staircase back to the ground floor level.

The jedi master tried to get an indication of exactly who it was he was going out to meet. But his senses gave no answer. //Hmmmmm. Guess it'll have to be a suprise, then.//

There wasn't a single hint of arrogance within Kamon's voice as he spoke to Monnik, standing there with both of his blades in his hands, ready to be used. In a single calling from Kamon he could get at least one other Master right to him in a handful of moments. Wholi was still somewhere within the Temple as far as he knew and Monnik couldn't withstand the blades of two Masters.. He could barely withstand Kamon's.

"But I don't need that to beat you now do I? If you want to keep fighting I'll happily oblige you, but I will say that you weren't doing too well earlier."

As the jedi master passed through the temple gates he got a better sense of what was going on. The massive power he sensed was away, to the east. But between there and where he stood was another dark presence, smaller in power but still high enough to be a threat. " I guess i'll have to make a little stop on the way. Better be quick." With that he began running towards where he felt the smaller presence lingering.
