Korriban w/Niko and Jehovah

After dodging his attack, Axelyn lost sight of the Sith. He was still fighting as a Wookie, using his brute strength to toss aside Sith soldiers. His hands and his lightsaber were acting in unison, each feeding off the other. Many were falling, but he wasn't getting anywhere in the battle. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Niko facing off with the Sith. He could feel the man's struggle. Axelyn had to act, to save his master's soul. He shifted out of his wookie form and back into the form of a Sith soldier. He leapt out of the massive brawl that he had started, and did his best to blend in. He masked his Force signature again, and quietly kept his eyes on his master and their opponent.

Then, the Sith did some completely unexpected. He clipped his lightsaber back onto his belt. It seemed as if he had completely forgotten about the young Padawan. Now was his opportunity. Slowly, he maneuvered himself into position. His Force signature still masked, he thought his options over. After a few seconds of thought, he settled on his decision. Aided by the Force, he leapt at his target with great speed, the silver blade of his lightsaber held out in front of him, on a direct path to impale his opponent.

Korriban – Axelyn / Jehovah

As the Sith spoke Niko could feel the presence of his Padawan approaching. He was doing an excellent job and masking his Force signature, but the bond between Master and Padawan was strong and he knew him. He could feel the attack that was about to take place and made a decision. “No Sith I will never join you, but for you I will do something far worse than kill you.” Niko agian used the Force on the Sith apprentice this time with the intent to pull forward out of Axelyn’s attack and into arms reach. Once there Niko would use his healing power to fix most of the damage that he caused, and hopefully render the Sith Apprentice unconscious, effectively removing the need to inflict more harm on him.

This Jedi seemed to have enough strength and experience with the Force to escape from the Sith Warrior’s Force choke, yet barely though. As soon as the thought to strike down the Jedi registered, the woman spoke out against Darth Apparatus’s actions. Her words were vulgar and insulting, yet she had an idea in getting the Jedi off of Coruscant. Yet, proclaiming that is was proficient is an understatement. The Jedi enemy would simply live to threaten the security of the Sith Order.

The Sith Lord simply sighed. He was obviously outnumbered and separating the Jedi would be best. Sending these two Jedi and suspicious old man away would leave just the two Jedi Masters that just arrived. Darth Apparatus turned body to get a view of both the Jedi.

Yet, something began to develop with the group he had been confronting. He heard a voice and turned back to see that a different face had taken the place of the old man. This new person revealed his name to be C’orringath Ven’traas, a name Apparatus had heard and instantly recognized as Jedi. His suspicions were correct about the old man, yet this meant even more trouble. With a highly known Jedi Master on one side, and two other Jedi Masters on the other, this battle was one-sided. The Jedi leaving with the woman were no longer the main threat and Apparatus split his attention among the Jedi Masters.

C’orringath discussed how the Jedi and the Sith could not occupy the planet at once. Apparatus observed the Jedi ignite a Lightsaber with an amber glow. C’orringath was the first to make a move on Apparatus. The Sith Warrior was quick to react and brought his Lightsaber up vertically. Yet, the blurred body of the Jedi shifted. The amber blade did not come close to Apparatus and C’orringath flew directly toward his fellow Jedi Master. Apparatus simply observed the turn of events in awe. The Sith Lord witnessed C’orringath thrust his Lightsaber to the body of a fellow Jedi Master.

Apparatus simply stepped back. He would simply observe to see how the other Jedi Master would react to the turn of events.

“We will see won’t we.”

Katrina hated fighting but this is where the council told her to go. She had no choice in the matter now, it was either fight or die and there was no way she was going to let herself die.

She flipped backwards away from the sith and blocked her random slashes. It seemed like she had no order just was angry now.

KORRIBAN
Niko & Axel

The Padawan's attack had been unexpected and should have ended the weakened Sith's life. He was saved, however, by an even less expected act; the Knight pulled him from the silver blade's path and grasped him, reaching into his head. An unusual calm began to overtake his body, forcing his eyes close and his limbs limp. His mind began to drift from thoughts of the battle being fought around him. Darkness and death became distant strangers.

No...he had to fight back. Keeping his injured body still, Jehovah made no motions of his returning consciousness. He allowed the Jedi to continue holding him, though he fought back the mental advances. The yells and warcries once again began to fill his ears, images of blood replacing the docile visions created by the lightsider. "No..."it was not more than a whisper.

Suddenly, the closed eyelids sprung open to reveal orbs so engulfed by evil that they glowed. "NO!" The scream echoed in the valley, above the usual sounds of combat. Jehovah pushed the Jedi away physically, then once again, though much harder, with the Force. The momentum sent him flying several feet backwards, the sudden return of his weight on the injured leg forcing him to one knee. Slowly, he rose again, fighting back the urge to crumble on the spot.

Deciding that engagement with his lightsaber could be fatal in his critical condition, Jehovah momentarily relied on the teachings of Lady Molior. Mustering all of his power, he launched a wave of dark energy at his opponent, hoping to overcome him without physical contact.

A blank expression washed away all fear from Sophia as she activated the lightsaber again, her hands gripping the metallic cylinder with pristine precision. The purple beam shot forth like a lightning strike from the deep heavens of Hyperspace, a menacing hue of violet was cast into a swirling cascade of color across the walls as if painted a mural of the Jedi’s lightsaber, even Bryan who was sitting closely, watching the soon to be battle with a pristine eye. The dark brown hair with its shaggy curls covering his deep blue eyes, hiding his emotions of passion towards Sophia, his true feelings of that night they shared, his true feeling of love.

Sophia’s dainty hand slid down to the bottom of the lightsaber, the purple light almost dropping back into its holder as she nearly hit the red button again. But without a falter in her clear steps she started to circle the droid, her stance that of a novice, her determination that of a Master. She felt the Force surge through her showing veins, the deep ambition that was carved by her Master’s teaching showing. A sigh broke loose the tension as the first shot fired, she saw the droid clinch as it was about to fire, but she did not move nearly fast enough, the red beam slapped the sense into her as it stung her leg with a deep fire that burnt within, her raw ambition to get the task done.

Slowly she tried to see the next attack by watching the droids actions, its hesitation as it was to fire, and again she was struck with the red line. This time it snuck a deep blow into her abdomen, searing the robes slightly as the smoke filled the air. The grey fog gave her enough time to start to think what her master said over and over for a moment, then it hit her, that and another blaster bolt! She had to use her feelings to reach out with the Force, to wrap its sweet tendril around the droid and examine its next moves, its motives. A slow sigh emitted from her sealed lips as she cursed in her head, ‘Kyp, it makes no sense. But neither does anything that has happened since I met you!’ She spoke to herself into the deep crevices of her mind. Slowly she came back into her conscious state as another training bolt stuck itself to her other leg.

The purple blade slithered across the room with the body of Sophia, her finess with herself was matched only with the clumsiness she had with the training Lightsaber. A light cyan eye caught Bryan slipping into a daydream and not watching anything. Slowly the Padawan slid over to his direction, staying for a moment before she got the precognition from the Force telling her to move fast. As she did the laser hit the young Padawan. Its sting brought him back into the conscious realm of reality. His face turned a deep crimson as his embarrassment flushed his tired eyes with a light red, his smile evaporated into a frown as he saw that Sophia blocked a bolt. He rather enjoyed her get stung, it was a way of payback for the nights she kept him up asking questions. But it was a friendly vengeance.

The violet light bathed the Padawan in a silhouette of plum, basking her red cheeks in its glorious noble shade. Her whole demeanor was changed as she saw that the Force was helping her evade the blasted blaster bolts. Slowly she felt the bolt coming, and instinctively she swung, almost like the broom she would bat with when the bugs were infesting her greenhouse, not enough to kill them. But enough to scare them to never come back. As the plum colored blade swatted itself at the droid a hesitation came from Sophia as she realized what she was doing, but it was too late. There was a light burst as the darkness of the purple hue was lifted and the light scattered all across the room, almost as though it was trying to hide from Sophia.

“Master Kyp, I am sorry. I nev...I never meant to destroy your droid!” She pleaded as she looked up at him. The saber dropped to the ground and started to roll around. Sophie’s head lolled towards one shoulder as she started towards Kyp. “Master, will you find it in your heart to forgive me?” She begged with all of her heart. Her deep, compassionate heart, filled with remorse and bathed in guilt at the latest discovery of the Padawan: Lightsabers and training droids don’t mix.

“I guess I’m Lightsaber intolerant.” She quipped as her voice carried towards Bryan who was already coming near the Padawan.

"...I choose the Sith."

For a moment, Brayden just stood there. Eye's blinking dumbly, as for the second time a Jedi's blade pierced his torso. He looked down at the amber blade, then up at the one wielding it, and closed his eyes his body vanishing as his cloak drifted softly to the ground, shredded down the middle by Corringath's blade.

In that moment, his very existence wavered, somewhere between life and death. The otherside, nothing he would of guessed, though something all to familiar.

Chaos.

NO!

His very soul seemed to cry out in terror, willing itself away from that hell, the screams. The darkness.

He opened his eyes. Chaos was no longer before him. And neither was the alley. He glanced around, his vision blurry and distorted, unable to assess his suroundings. He tried to sit up, and let out a gasp of pain and fell back to the ground as he was given a harsh reminded of the injury he had obtained.

He lay back breathing heavily, trying to work out what had happened. Where he was. But images of the dark hell kept forcing their way back into his mind.

Chaos.

After all he his time as a Jedi, after all he had accomplished. Was he still doomed to dwell for eternity in that hell? Were his sins still greater than his triumphs? Was he still more Sith than Jedi?

It would have been easier for Zelazny to keep the moral high ground if the Sith hadn't been right. Yes, this attack went against everything the Jedi Order stood for. Young Padawans were being sent to war; sent to kill. That was not the Jedi way and it meant the apprentices were being tainted by the dark side with every strike they took. But all that did was strengthen his resolve even more. For every Sith he defeated here, it was one less that would corrupt the Jedi Padawans on Korriban. Zelazny had already been tained by the Dark - nothing would change that. This way, he could keep the others from suffering his fate.

The Sith's first real attack was an obvious feint. That still didn't help Zelazny work out where the actual strike would come from. He dodged a heartbeat too late and the blade sliced through the flesh of his shoulder. If he hadn't moved it would have been a lot worse - this way, it was a fairly minor injury. As the blood flowed down his arm he could see why the Sith liked to use swords like these. A lightsaber was a much more humane weapon.

"I attack so others don't have to," he replied, stepping back and readying his crimson blade for the next attack, "I risk my own soul for those who can't protect themselves."

Korriban

The Sith infiltrator decended from the skies, below the masses of Sith and Jedi clashed in a vengeful war. Darth Venator had been away, but word soon reached the huge mutant that the Jedi had declared war on several fronts.

Korriban being the closest planet to his location, Venator quickly boarded his infiltrator and made his way to the battle sight. Today he would hunt down Jedi and slaughter them aimlessly in the name of the darkside.

The Infiltrator set down away from the main battle and the massive humanoid form exited the craft. Using the force he first called out to all his Sith brethren. " Venator has arrived, direct me to the nearest Jedi and my slaughter will begin!".

Next he delved into the force to collectively detect each jedi and identify their signatures. Some he knew from past encounters, others were new, but soon they would feel the wrath of the powerful mutant. His natural strength was more than a match for a force enhanced knight, his dual ended sabre gave him better capabilities against multiple Jedi than a single foe, but this did not bother him. Venator began closing in on the battle as he scanned for a worthy opponent, the battle would soon tilt in favour of the Sith if it had not already done so, throwing his weight into the fold would surely purge the vileness of the lightside!

(Apologies for the little post.)

After waiting for an answer to his presence for longer than was courteous, Monnik began to ascend the steps. Although a pleasant-looking place, the temple was quite foreboding in its physical size. There were very few within, he could tell even before he entered.

When he reached the top steps, he drew his sabre. With a hiss, the blade sprang to life, and Domovoi slashed it across the column nearest the great entrance. It left a bright orange streak, which then faded into the blackened scorch mark. His presence would be felt, and it would be acknowledged. Or he would bring what the Jedi would call corruption into the halls of The Light.

Space : Met

Chloe couldn’t believe that they actually had taken her father’s ship. She didn’t think that the jedi would go for it but it seemed he caved in to her idea.

The girl didn’t mind letting him fly. He after all knew what he was doing while all she could do was fly around in circles. Chloe wouldn’t tell him but this would be the first time on her own flying a ship. She wasn’t worried though, if something went wrong Met was there to help.

“It’s alright, I don’t mind. I’m used to have others doing things for me. Nobody believes a little girl like me is capable but I’m 12 not 2. I don’t know my father so really I have never been in this ship until now. It’s not like the two of us are close.”

Chloe said the last bit a little bitterly. She wished that they were close but that would never happen so the young girl had given up looking for him. The man had after all taken her to a evil planet.

“Where to?”

"Well - first things first."

Metran sent a signal to the Jedi command ship, detailing Hawk's last known postition and indicating that a dropship should be sent there immediately to provide assistance and possible hot pickup. He wasn't about to leave the Jedi Master hanging without a way out - he was in enough trouble as was. Under the circumstances there was only one place to take her; anywhere else would completely void any excuse for his actions up to now.

"Master Kyp, I am sorry. I nev...I never meant to destroy your droid! Master, will you find it in your heart to forgive me?" Kyp smirked. The amount of training droids that he had obliterated over the years was probably into triple-figures, not to mention the three simulators he had wrecked with Force-lightning on Mandalore. So it was simple to forgive someone, especially when the Theed Temple produced so many of them - most padawans seemed to have a hard time NOT hitting the beams back at the machine.

"I guess I’m lightsaber-intolerant," she quipped with Bryan on her mind, and Kyp sighed inwardly. It wasn't jealousy, of course, but simply a general annoyance at people doing things only to impress others - even if it wasn't a conscious decision.

"This is serious," he said slowly, settling the mood firmly. "Destroying my droid isn't a problem - you did it without thinking and not with malice or intent. I easily forgive you. You entered a meditative stance well, and if you have to fight, you are as good as you could be with a quick training session like this one. Remember to trust your feelings and not your senses."

A quiet alarm beeped in the cockpit, and Kyp smiled slightly, winking to the couple. "Sounds like we're less than a minute from hyperspace. Let's head back up there and get ready for battle. Sophie, try to remember that the Jedi are doing this to redeem the people and that the Sith are doing it to enslave them. There will be similarities, perhaps, between their methods, but if you fail to think of anything else, think of that." Without another word, he turned, using the Force to pick the lightsaber back off the floor and hover it before her, clearly giving her permission to take it.

A curious hand raised to her lightsaber as her master placed it before her, a moment of awe stuck Sophia like a ton of bricks. There she was, a lightsaber and no clue how she was to keep herself alive when it was a training saber. It would be like trying to take a Rancor down with a stick. Even though it could be done if injected the right way, it would be harder than it sounded. And to Sophia it sounded even easier than trying to take down a Sith Master, Sith Knight, or even another Sith Apprentice if they, too had a Lightsaber. A moment of silence restricted her from speaking as she said a silent prayer to the gods that she made up to give her a sense of being when she was smaller and her mother died, she could remember the night she died. The storms of Coruscant were polluting the house with bad Karma as Sophia held her mother’s head in her hands and stroked her graying hair with her delicate fingers.

A slow sigh exhausted itself from the ruby red lips of Sophia. She knew that she would have to defend herself when she got to Coruscant and she knew that it would hurt her in the long run if she did, but it would also hurt her in the short term period if she didn’t. She knew some things of the Sith, parts here and there and one thing she knew for certain was that they were ruthless and they would stop at nothing to get what they wanted. And to them a lowly Jedi Padawan was just a nusience to their goals of destroying Coruscant from the inside. Sophia grew up on Coruscant, she had lived her entire life there and up until three years back she had called her belated mothers’ home her own. But then the Sith came along and ruined everything, they swindled everything from Sophia, from her credits to her will. They stole the home and burned it to the ground as a sign of their disgust for the lowly people of the planet.

Then Sophia arrived on Naboo and everything changed, she became a Jedi after a few years of selling her flowers here and there, a few months in her new home and she was already a Jedi. The Padawan knew that if she tried to liberate Coruscant by her lonesome then she would be shot down, killed and be desecrated, everything she stood for would be burnt to the ground. The plants that she gave a home back on Naboo, her will, her family, her soul...all killed. Murdered in a hue of blood as the macabre spread all over the galaxy...spawning from the death of an innocent, all of the horrors of war are started with the deaths of innocents. But how was it Sophia’s place to be so conceited, she was there to prevent the afroementioned deats, not be one.

“Master Kyp, how am I to prevent the death of a planet when all I have is a training saber and my will. I have no other way to prevent the deaths. I need a real saber, or a blaster, something.” She said forgetting the blaster that was placed in her backpack by Bryan.

****Coruscant****

The orange lights sent a beacon to Sophia from space, it was a yearning to come back home, the haunting orange neon lights filled her with a sense of placement, their calling of darkness almost enough to draw her weary soul into its black tendrils, its deadly call enough to deafen her of the lightside, but not strong enough, not strong enough to break her will to survive. “Master Kyp, the planet is calling. Its core is blackened, it is no longer the jewel of the galaxy, it is the blight.” She said hauntingly as she stared into the explosions that were coming from within the planet, the explosions as the Jedi clashed with the Sith in an effort to thwart the plans of the Sith to control the planet, heal it overtime.

“Master, I’m scared to kill but I know that I must.” She said as she pondered how she would with a training saber.

“Well, Naboo is home but I say we head to Coruscant! It will be fun and if you get in trouble blame it on me.”

Chloe looked up to him and smiled hoping that he would go with the flow. She was used to being able to just go places. The padawan really wasn’t used to being told to go home and she didn’t want to. Going to Coruscant meant helping out the home she loved and not being a bump on a log.

Corringath

It was a nightmare, over and over and over again. The feeling of helplessness and desperation as the unthinkable happened right before his eyes.

Despite all his vaunted battle prowess, his skills as a warrior. His name, he had been unable to even move a finger as Jedi turned against Jedi. When the Sith had revealed themselves to him, Caleb had been almost glad for their presence. An enemy had finally shown themselves, his tired mind aching for a release to the feeling of oppression that he carried within him had rejoiced at the prospect of focusing his emotions in the hearth of battle.

Then the world had turned gray again.

He felt a scream build up, a shout of anger, rage(yes rage) and pain at being torn between two polars. He had just seen a Master of the Jedi Council slain before his very eyes. Loyalty to the Council and demanded he confront the murderer, and yet the slayer was himself a Master of the Council. He had known both Corringath and Brayden equally well. His heart felt leaden, his features contorted into a mix of profound sadness and infinite confusion.

"You...y..y..you. You, you murdered him."

He took a step forward, closer towards where Master Brayden had been standing a few moments back.

"Y..you, a J..J...Je..Jedi. Mur...murdered him."

A tear streaked down his cheek as he reached out with the force to seek out if even the tiniest remnant existed of Master Brayden's aura. And found absolutely nothing.

"Corringath Ventraas, high traitor of the Jedi Order. In the name of the council I demand you surrender. If you surrender now I guarantee you a fair trial. If you choose not to...

...I guarantee nothing."

The hilt finally leaped to his right hand and he lit it in a single weeping flourish, the viridian blade blazing forth. He stood there, lightsaber held low parallel to his legs pointing downwards. In his mind he counted down from five and looked up, no tears now. Only eyes reddened with pain and suffering.

Zero.

"Your time is up."

A savage growl erupted from his throat as the months of madness that had threatened to engulf him so many times before finally broke free, he charged forth sweeping the saber above his head in arcs with increasing speed. As soon as he reached within striking distance of the traitor his blade swept down continuing an arc aimed at slicing his torso in half.

"DIE!"

Coruscant

When it came down to it, it seemed there was little to organize in the matter of defending Coruscant. The information that Maize had provided, forwarded to him by Archaen Fel, detailed an extensive defense plan which had been mobilized the moment a threat had been identified. On his arrival to Coruscant, Fenris had seen this much in action. He had witnessed soldiers being deployed to the so-called black-out zone, the area of the city that had been struck by 'terrorist' activities. With the district now separated from the rest of the metropolis, guarded at its boarders by troops who had permission to kill, there was no doubt that they had contained a planet-wide insurrection. It was simply a matter of removing the irritants that remained.

I want them eradicated... Right now.

The Governor's words sounded once more in Fenris's mind, and in that moment he knew what was necessary. There was no need for him to remain at Senate Hall. From there it would be possible for him to command the defense forces adequately, but he knew that the extermination of the Jedi would come far swifter if it was directly by his hands. He would take to the streets and hunt down the righteous crusaders himself and when he found them, he would show them the same mercy and compassion that they had afforded the citizens of Coruscant.

Naboo - Monnik

He felt him coming without even seeing him and backed even more into the shadows. Fortunately, he had moved away from the column because less than a minute later a lightsaber blade slashed through it, announcing the arrival of his opponent. As the pillar crashed down towards him, Kamon unleashed his presence in the Force, grabbed the pillar with it, and threw it right back at Monnik, attempting to knock the man away.

"You've come to the wrong place, Monnik. Are you prepared to face me?"

Thumbs hit switches on both of his lightsaber hilts and two blue blades sprang forth into existance. The hood of his cloak still hid who he was, only his mouth sufficiently exposed to where Monnik could even see it. Crouching down low, he held one blade out to the right and pointed behind him. His left blade he held out in front of him in a horizontal manner, facing directly towards where his opponent was, ready.

Caleb, Corri, Shakti, Mason, Dead Brayden, Kool and the Gang...

The Jedi were not alone on Coruscant. No, another had gone to the Jewel of the Galaxy. For months, he had lived on Coruscant, being drawn into the Goth-Sith culture that seemed to overtake a good majority of the youth there. Clad in fishnets and black pants, Abaddon was an outcast on the streets.

Among peers at the clubs.

In horror he watched how the Jedi handled their attempts to liberate Coruscant from the Sith. As time progressed, things only became worse. Green eyes closed as his anger began to build. Somewhere in the distance, he felt the presence of his father. Perhaps it was only imaginary. Perhaps he just longed for the man's council.

As he opened his eyes, he witnessed Master C'orringath cut down Master Brayden. The boy was in utter shock. Lips parted in a gasp, his hand moving to his chest. His heart rate increased, fear slowly flowing through his form. It was then that the concentration needed to keep his force signature cloaked was released. He reveiled himself to all who was there, but at that point, he couldn't care. Master C'orringath, someone he regarded as both a friend and a mentor, had taken the life of another Jedi.

His hands moved to his ears as he crouched down. When a Jedi died, the force screamed out. Another of her gaurdians dead. The hands of Chaos gripped Brayden's soul, adding eerie ripples to the cries of the force. Perhaps most were deaf to the sound, but the young Jedi Knight heard it clear as crystal. So as he was left on his knees, the echoes of the force going through his mind, he heard Caleb announce that C'orringath was going to be placed under arrest.

However, the man's rage was too great. He was not thinking clearly. "N... no." In the five second countdown, Abaddon jumped out of the crowd. His feet on the move as soon as they touched the ground. The baggy black pants gave him plenty of room to hide his two lightsabers. His Krayt Dragon Pearl blade jumped to his hand, the cream white blade springing to life with a pop and a hiss.

His blade came out in front of Master C'orringath, stopping the assault. His brown hair blew in the wind, green eyes moving from the ground to the eyes of Caleb. "Master Torran, please. You cannot kill him. It's not the way of the Jedi. He must stand trial... Please, calm your anger." His eyes moved to the traitorous Jedi that stood behind him. Kyp looked at her, and felt himself start to sink into her expanding aura of fear and anticipation. "Don't worry," he said, attempting to wave the fear away from himself and then to comfort her with the Force, "the saber in your hand is a real lightsaber. In training, I had it under control the entire time. If a real battle situation comes, and I am sure that it will, then you cannot be relying on me. You must let your instincts take over, and if you do, you will survive and thrive. Do not try to save the world, or to win, yet. This conflict will be a maturing session that will show you some of the horrors out there. Once you pass through it without too much scarring, you will be able to improve, harden yourself to the parts of you that will cause a problem, and eventually become one of the Knights. When you are a Jedi Knight, you will be able to help with the liberation attempts - and when you become a Master you will be able to lead, and help decide who to save."

He smirked. "Neither of us are ready for those decisions yet. But in due time, we will be. The important thing is to stretch yourself over what you are able to do, learn the ropes, gain the knowledge that you can but keep yourself safe. If you can save another, do so. But do little more. Avoid the dark-side at all costs. I mean that. Stay away from anger."

The machine flashed and Kyp spun around to pull the ship up slightly as they entered the atmosphere, juddering as he tried to push it into a better angle of descent. The turbulence was great, and the Jedi Knight wasn't sure how much was Sith sorcery compared to poor piloting and difficult conditions.

"We're almost there. Good luck, and may the Force be with you."

(Mak, Brayden)

The Master Jedi's choice was so limited in mindset, as was he. In truth, his soul would meet with death itself- bringing him and not her withering into the vast expanse of the netherworld. Almost did she reach out to finish what she started. Almost did she strike to bring Mak the finality that came with death by waves of implacable lightning. Attacks without mercy, bringing the lesser to his knees- from where he should address her.

Almost.

NO!

A thunder of noise and emotion unknown shredded within her. Terror. Something never would she have felt encompassed her mind, pulling her spirit within its oblivion... but the terror was not hers. The emotion came not from within, but shuddered through the Force, resounding in deafening resonance in her ears. Brayden...

Death's hand came.

But never would she accept it. She would move hell to bring her wishes to life, to free her loved one's from the reapers deadly caress.

"Send me to Chaos now." Not a request, a demand as she looked through unfeeling eyes to the worm. No longer a deep blue... nor even the crimson strands of hatred burning within. Rather black. A void, passionless and cold- for her soul no longer held to the land of the living, but rested in who was now lost.

Caleb, Brayden, Abbadon, Hayden, Enset, Shakti Mason dot dot dot

Before Caleb could react, C'orringath was on the ground, at the side of the fallen Jedi master, who had not yet faded away, as Jedi were wont to do, but remained struggling, fighting for his existence on this corporeal plane. Though he had struck the blow that had caused this wound, and the coming death, the eyes of C'orringath Ven'traas, master of the Force, echoed a hopeless, forlorn sadness as he saw his former friend and ally laying their, experiencing his last moments of physical being. Amber lightsaber blade activated, He spoke in a voice that was meant only for Brayden,

"Remember the code, my friend..." And the voice faded away into nothing audible, except between the two masters. When the Jedi master Brayden Xykarn had disappeared, C'orringath, stood up quickly, his words to the fallen warrior obviously cut short by the sudden disappearance.

"Once again, my friend...I'm sorry."

As all this transpired, C'orringath could feel the rage and the anger of Caleb Torran, and the reasoned, though righteous wrath of Abaddon Velshaar. Both were his trusted friends, and the fact that both of them had to see him perform this gritty, but necessary action pained him as much as seeing Brayden fade away. Looking straight into both their eyes, he held their gaze in silence for one....two sceonds, then abruptly turned behind him.

"Sith!"
he spoke to the young woman ushering Enset and Hayden;

"...Get the both of them off planet, and anyone who wants to go with them. I have no quarrel or issue with them, and these events are not for their witness. Please, I beg of you, do as you planned..."

And with that, he was facing both Abaddon and Caleb, fully cognizant of their conversation, like he had not diverted his attention.

"...Me? Stand trial? For what, pray tell? Upholding THE CODE!?!? I stand here before you as I am, conflicted because my brethren, the supposed GUARDIANS OF PEACE in this galaxy, have ushered in a movement of aggression and revenge upon this planet without proper cause or reason to do so, and you think I, as a Jedi can stand it? No sirs, I cannot! And if I have to sacrifice my own essence to pull the Jedi Order back to its rightful mind, then so be it, I shall! Now, I ask both of you, to remember your training, remember the code...Remember that you hold your allegiance to peace and the Force and nothing else..Remember..."

A sudden surge of emotion waxed, then suddenly waned. Deep down, hidden beneath the throes of his righteous anger against his brothers, that which had caused him to strike a mortal blow to Brayden, and that which had caused Caleb to attempt the same towards him, he couldn't help but feel some part of his soul rend in pieces from his actions. The anger was too strong, and he was at his end; obviously, C'orringath gave into it, and the regret seemed repressed...For now. All of this thought manifested itself in nothing more than a small gap in his words.

"...That there is no death!"

In a sudden flurry of motion, C'orringath sprang upon Abaddon, his blade batting at the knight's own, hoping to knock it away from his front. Instantaneously, a powerful wave of the Force struck out at C'orringath's beck and call towards Avaddon's side, designed to knock him to the opposite side of the alleyway, and leave C'orringath room to plunge forward so he could grant Caleb Torran his wish, a wish that would be his last if C'orringath's intentions ran true.

Rach turned around as Avicus seemed to be called away for a breif moment. Not meaning to eavesdrop, she heard of forces that were already being deployed to combat the Jedi resistance. Avicus was a fighter, his morality twisted as it should be. His loyalty steadfast and sharp. For this man would do almost anything she asked within reason.

Soon the helicopter descended upon them. It would most definitely be an easier way to find the Jedi. For she could already sense such turmoil in the Jedi and it made her smile. She took his hand and grasped it tight. "We shall again, Sennou. Hopefully we can find the Jedi. I feel turmoil and life forces fading away. We can only hope more Jedi are transpiring to the force."

"Please, I beg of you, do as you planned..."

He didn't have to tell her twice. These people were crazy.

Shakti returned her assent to her master's request--since a sense of agreement was about as clear a message as she could send right now--and turned on her heel to run down the catwalks away from C'orringath, who was clearly insane if not actually her enemy, one dead Jedi, two other angry Jedi and everyone yelling at each other about the Jedi code.

Screw that.

She needed to find someplace for Enset and this other Jedi to go, at least a hiding place that would do for a while. She'd seen an abandoned shop here the other day, and while she didn't know how long it would be safe for them it'd have to be enough. The others had a chance to catch up when she closed her eyes and paused with her palm resting on the door. She wasn't strong enough to shove as hard as she'd need in order to break it open, but maybe with the Force... SLAM... SLAM... SL--CRACK!!

Bits of the doorframe sprayed to the floor in a rain of plastic splinters. Shoving the door open, she found what might once have been a thrift store of some sort. There were a few out-of-fashion articles of clothing tossed over abandoned racks. Perhaps they'd take the chance to pick up some suitably-retro additions to their wardrobes.

She turned to address the others as she waited for them in the doorway. "Just lay low for a while until you can steal a shuttle or something. If you try and leave now and you'll probably just get shot down. It's not going to utterly break my heart, but I should tell you it's a dumb idea. Don't answer the door, don't answer the comm, and don't take candy from strangers. If there's nothing else I really have to go."

Coruscant - Sector Seven

As their dropship descended upon the Old Towne District, Serapis allowed a large breath of the night air. He jumped with the other two and used the force to slow his fall when the ground rushed up to greet him. After a slightly harder landing than he would have preferred, the apprentice dusted off his black robes and fell in once more behind Razielle. Just then, his senses caught wind of another presence - a ship approaching apparently in the wake of their transport. Someone was following them.

"We're not alone," he said as the trio strode through the street. He trusted that Adrasteia had felt the presence as well, but Serapis chose to vocalize it when she had not.

Walking through the crowds of Old Towne was somewhat uncomfortable for Serapis. He could feel the eyes upon him and his companions as the citizens backed away to make plenty of room for their passage. The apprentice tried to ignore them and keep his gaze forward, but he couldn't help but steal a few glances at their faces. Was it respect or fear he saw in their eyes? For a moment Serapis mused over whether it was better to maintain control through love or fear... though it seemed at this point that fear was the norm, what with the riots.

"In. Down."

It seemed the power station had come upon them suddenly. Serapis followed the Lady's instructions and took soft steps down the metal staircase. He nodded as she spoke, making mental note of the tasks ahead - it didn't seem so difficult. Unless the old power coupling turned out to be too antiquated to comprehend, they shouldn't have a problem.

"We've nearly reached it," said Serapis as they stepped off the foot of the stairs. He came upon a rather rusted door and pressed the entry button. Surprisingly, it hissed open at once, and the apprentice stood to the side in a polite gesture so that his superior could enter before him. Perhaps they could get this done quickly.
