Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)
The Sith was good in a close fight, but Metran was an experienced fighter. The Jedi spun himself so that Arumizy's forehead connected with Met's cheekbone rather than his nose. The spin also diverted the elbow strike from Met's throat to the side of his neck. It was all very painful, but necessary to avoid more serious injuries. Met's abdominals had tightened a while ago - while the Sith's hit was solid, it might as well have hit a brick wall.
Tossing his damaged saber aside, Met' used his wedged arm to push the two of them apart. Spinning back for distance, he shook himself out. Brused and bleeding from his mouth, he nevertheless began to smile: it had been a while since he had this kind of workout. With his burned shoulder kept behind him, the Jedi was reduced to jabs at his face in order to try softening up his opponent. He needed to knock Arumizy out, and an uppercut from this stance would be weak. He needed the Sith stunned long enough for a wind-up.
In his mind, Met' was no longer a Jedi on Korriban fighting to spare Naboo from yet another assault while defending his fellows. He was once again the Terror from Taanab; one of the most feared and respected pit fighters of his sector. The Sith was the latest opponent he had to take down to keep his title and survive one more day.
Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)
The jedi might as well have been a mile away from the sith. His knee was dislocated making that leg useless. He was barely able to use it to keep standing. He had to get him back in close. Fidelis bit down on a little bit of nerve and took a little wider stance. The sounds would be more then enough to let his opponent know he was hurt.
" Better then I thought you would be. Why do you retreat away? Afraid if you would have stayed you would be on the ground and bleeding?".

Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)Coruscant: C'orringath, Enset, Hayden
"They don't need to be a monolithic collective to earn my disgust, with all due respect Master. They just need to try and create one by stamping out people who do things differently." Shakti's frown darkened with old memories and for a moment her offense was tempered with long-stale rejections and resentment. "If you've ever been denounced as evil by strangers for accessing a power they found unacceptable... then I shouldn't have to explain it any further."
She shook her head. If he didn't already understand, he never would. If he'd gotten this far as a Jedi, he probably enjoyed whatever they were offering him. The hard edge to her voice returned as she turned her sharp dark eyes on C'orringath. "My name is Shakti. I'll help you get the hell out of here if only to keep the rest of my allies from having to deal with you." The unspoken implication was clear. She wasn't powerful enough to remove a Jedi master, knight, and padawan from the fight in one clean motion except by this, and it meant that even as she assisted them they might be damning the allies the Jedi left behind.
"But I think you'd better reconsider whether you're allowed to trust me. Sith are mindless hurricanes of destruction and suffering you know." She swept a hand over toward the route they'd taken to come here. Toward the raging mob of frightened and angry citizens whose home and livelihoods were once again endangered by this age-old conflict, a conflict that had been brought to their doorsteps by invading Jedi. "We're not at all benevolent and just like you are."
Whether they wanted to get offworld now, or simply to hide until they could sneak away later, for now Shakti would help them. It would keep them out of the way until she found some other way to contribute.

Brayden disengaged the lightsabre, and moved silently in the direction Corringath and the others had gone. He gestured for Caleb to follow, those at the front of the Mob were still taking pot shots at the window in which the Sith had escaped, their fear, confusion and anger, made their minds weaker, easier to manipulate, and allowed Brayden to keep their attention on the escaping Sith as he moved to escape, giving chase to the others.

Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)Rach
On the roof of the Senate Hall, the young Knight found his refuge. Leaning up against a wall, he tucked his head between his knees and sparked up a cigarette. Taking a long drag, he inhaled the poison deep within his lungs. The nausea began to fade, and slowly he stood up. Pressing the back of his head to the wall, he looked up at the sky with eyes closed.
Coruscant cried out around him. The planet-wide city was on fire with hatred. The Sith Knight should've enjoyed every minute of it. Instead, he was troubled by it. Just how much pain had he caused in his life? How much death? Was the misery of others worth the power he obtained? The answer was yes, and this terrified him. "By the gods... What have I become?"
It's been said that the only true philisophical question is to ask if one should commit suicide. So as Avicus ran towards the edge of the roof and leaped off, he became a philosopher. Letting gravity take hold of him, he turned his back to the ground, his arms behind his head. If he were to meet death, he would've atleast like to be looking up at the sky while doing so.
The roars of the wind was deafening, the rays of the morning light never more beautiful. And in that moment, time seemed to stop. He stopped falling, finding himself unable to move. The only thing that seemed to be working was his mind. Yellow eyes stared up at the sky, unable to move. Unable to look away from the beauty he wished to be the last thing he saw. Was this how it felt to merge within the living force? To make the body disappear before twilight was embraced?
What was the most important question you've ever asked in regards to the Sith?
Who has my spi...?
Don't be a smartass. Answer the question.
Avicus pondered this for a moment.
Why can't I be both a prince and a monster?
Yellow eyes shot open as time resumed. He continued to fall towards the ground. The roar of the winds was still deafening, distracting. As the force wrapped around him, slowing his fall, he smirked. Yes, he could be both a prince and a monster at the same time. It was how he preferred it.
He always had.
Just why did he feel remorse for taking the lives of those beneath him? It was the way of nature. It was the way of a free-spirited creature. Kill or be killed, those were the rules of the Galaxy around him. Those were the rules among the Sith. The laws of man could be broken. The laws of nature were a bit more troublesome to escape.
So as he floated down to the ground, he heard footsteps above his head. Looking up, he saw Rach walking out of the hall. "My, my, Mistress Sullen. Aren't you dressed to kill?" With that, his feet touched the ground, and he stood up. A light crack of his neck and a drag of the cigarette in his hand, and he was in tip-top shape.
Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)
He now saw what she had done. He was a fool for not seeing it earlier, but as the crowd started to mutter about him and Sky battling, he could see the Naboo clothes she wore, and the lightsaber.
The lightsaber she weilded emitted blue energy from the hilt. If he wasn't mistaken, which he didn't think he was, she held Brayden's, and if that was true, Brayden was weilding's Sky's. She had made herself look the victim, so that a Jedi would be attacking a civilian.
"Touché, Sky..."
Deactivating his lightsaber, there was no more reason to battle. The crowd has started to move to stop him, and even if he had wanted to stop them, which he could have easily, he would have tarnished the Order. Whichever way he went, there was no way to fight.
"Where do you want to go?"
Clearly, he was stuck in her hand, and now, he knew, listening to her would be a better advantage.

Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)Korriban: Arumizy / Chloe
"Better then I thought you would be. Why do you retreat away? Afraid if you would have stayed you would be on the ground and bleeding?"
The space between them and seeing the Sith injured gave Metran the time to breathe and center himself. "I'm already bleeding - you're not half bad yourself. Why risk losing if I can get what I want from here?"
With the wounded leg, Arumizy was on the ropes. Met' could encourage Chloe to back off while keeping the Sith occupied. She could watch for other Sith while he dealt with this one. With his mind focused and his purpose clarified, he re-set his stance and prepared to snap a punch right at the Sith's face; but only if he attacked.
"You are good; and you got a streak of honor in there, too. I got plenty to keep my hands full, so I'll cut you a break. Turn about and walk away: we'll call today a draw and pick this up again when we're both in better shape."
Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)
Maize slipped away from the goings on within the Senate Hall. Sophie seemed more than adept at this and he was pleased about that; as his former apprentice, and one of his greatest, Maize was quietly proud of how far she'd come. Stil, he needed quiet... or as much as he could manage in light of the craziness on Coruscant.
He ascended to the rooftop, skirting around the guards that were stationed throughout the complex. Maize remembered years earlier when he'd done the same sort of thing to escape both Jedi and civilian guards in the Senate after all hell had broken loose there. In his rage, he'd killed the Corellian senator and then had been pursued out of the building by Jedi Tiresais.
Ah, the good ol' days, he thought sarcastically.
Alone on the roof, Maize stared out at his city-world and reached deep into the Force. Focusing his energies, he could feel Mason England, his own apprentice - Shakti, he could feel Vega's approach and Sophie and the other Sith in this district. Their presences were bright with darkness, beacons of hate and power in the Force. The sensation was near intoxicating.

As Maize stared out into the complete darkness of Coruscant, a sleek ship cut across the skyline. The shutle cut a smooth arc across the midnight darkness, curving in its descent as it approached the Senate Hall, undeterred by the planetary defenses. Its doors slid open and from inside spilled a company of armored men, deployed from Korriban. They parted into two ranks and through the space between them there came another man, cloaked in gray. He moved ahead with martial stalk and the soldiers followed. His perceptions expanding, sensing all the multitudes of beings swarming across Coruscant, Fenris was reminded of the Killik insect hive-mind he had once been part of. He frowned. Nearby, he felt a presence calling to him.
Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)//Senate Hall. Rooftop,// was his simple reply to Lord Fenris.
A plan was forming in the back of Maize's mind that he didn't wish to voice yet. He wasn't much of a visionary with the Force, but he wanted to follow its potential, its tendril of "what could be" just the same. Maize closed his eyes, basking in the darkness as his Sith brothers and sisters maintained Coruscant as their own.

Fenris paused in his step and in unison each of the Korriban troopers did the same. With a gesture, he ordered them to the assistance of those within the Senate Hall. They filed away and Vega waited until their footsteps could not be heard before springing into motion. The ancient walls, built so many millennium's ago, were not challenge for one who had the Force as an ally and Fenris scaled them unseen. When he reached the summit of the domed roof, he found Lord Thanatos staring out from the towering vantage point upon the metropolis city he governed. The Sith Masters footsteps were silent against the old stone.
Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)Ah, Fenris. About time.
Maize gave the taller Sith Master a sidelong glance, nodding in greeting. Then, he turned his gaze back to his world.
"As you've likely heard, the Jedi used Korriban as a diversion. They're being repelled, but I'd like you to oversee our defense and offense, my Lord," he said. "I want them eradicated... Right now, Lady Maurow is hammering out a contract of sorts with the Mandalorian clans, so how it all falls out may yet change..."
He thought of the idea that had occurred to him and again remained silent on that.

The knight watched in dismay as his lightsaber was destroyed. He was getting fed up with this sith. He wished he had more power to take him. His mind wanted to explode.
But then a voice called out to him in his chaos he called his mind. It told him he needed to settle down. The taint was starting to rise in him, he couldn't let it gain control. But this planet was giving it streangth, Taunting Steanaler with the promis of power.
But then a face came to him in his mind. Emily. He couldn't turn. He made a promis to her that he would never leave her. He couldn't abandon her, his heart wouldn't let him.
Stean gripped his wound and deactivated his sheild then said
" Sith, you have bested me. i want to offer my terms of surrender, for my life and those serving with me."
Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)Coruscant
The mechanical Sith observed his new surroundings. Darkness had swallowed him. The only light was from the shattered window. It was impossible to see anything clearly, so Apparatus drew his Lightsaber once again and engaged it. The red glow filled a small room with an empty bed. The room was not elaborate in decorations, in fact, the décor was sparse.
The Sith Warrior maneuvered his way across the room toward a door. A dark mechanical hand opened the door. Upon entering, Apparatus noticed three people, a mother, son, and daughter, huddled together in a corner; they prayed to their gods for protection from the monster. Apparatus paid no attention to the family as he maneuvered to another window overlooking the streets. He looked down to the streets and noticed a party of Jedi and the old man he met earlier.
Corringath, Shakti, Enset
With no doubt in his mind that the mob is finding ways into the buildings, Apparatus smashed the window open with a durasteel arm. Glass shards fell to the ground. Following those shards came the Sith with his crimson Lightsaber. Slowly, Apparatus rose from the ground with a menacing smirk on his face. He could see the face of a woman, a man, and the older man as well. He could feel the Dark Side in the woman, yet was baffled by how she was coping with the Jedi. He was not clear on her affiliation, so she was guilty of being a Jedi by association in Apparatus’s eyes.

Chloe yawned as she watched the fight. It was rather boring to her especially because the jedi didn’t want her help. Turning to her side she saw dead walking towards her and screeched. The young girl had never seen anything like that before. Slashing at them the dead easily went down but they kept coming back and more were coming. Swinging her lightsaber around some more Chloe watched as the dead fell and started to rise again. Before they could reach full height again she ran behind the phoenix. She needed to come up with a plan and fast.
Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)
Having no time to ponder or respond to Shakti's challenge/debate/insult melange, Enset spun on the balls of his toes to meet the man who was approaching their location on the catwalks. Here was a man who bore the Siths' scent, but absolutely bled with murderous intent. How odd.
Nonetheless, diplomacy was the order of the moment--if he could repel the threat by ways other than bringing anyone to harm, it would have to be done. "Hello," he returned the greeting, as he stepped slightly forward with his left foot, getting dangerously close to a combat stance--already, his weight shifted off his heels in case discussion was not an option. The ramifications were clear: if negotiations failed, Enset was prepared to defend his superiors to allow them to escape.
He addressed the Sith with the lightblade. "What can we do for you?" he asked, hoping the Sith actually had stated terms he wanted met.
Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)
Fidelis heard the girls screech and soon saw what had caused it. The undead had come forward this far already. They interefered with his fight with Metran. Something that angered him. He tossed Metran one of his lightsabers because he had damaged hus earlier.
" Normally not an option to end it without a clear victor. But someone took it to interfere with us, so you may go. Tell ne one i gave you a weapon, and get that girl out of here before they get her. They won't bother me".
Fidelis would need to wait on a few of his men to get here. The undead would destroy the jedis if they got to them. But the sith should be ok for a few minutes.

Though Fenris preferred to wade knee-deep in battle itself, he was not adverse to playing the general when the moment was right. He folded his arms over his chest and joined Maize in his contemplation of Coruscant from their rooftop aerie as he wondered what kind of proviso's would apply to his defense of the city.
“Martial law,” he mused. “What do I have at my disposal?”

Maleficus chuckled, deactivating his saber and putting it away.
"Throw down your shield, Jedi, it will not help you now."
He walked forward a little, looking around the battlefield, the sands of Korriban were soaked with the blood of force users.
"I could not save your friends even if I wanted to, you have yourselves to blame for that. You have upset the gods and they require punishment, they thirst for the blood of the blasphemers."
He put his hand to the wound on his side then lifted it to his mouth to taste the dark liquid.
"I will take you away from here, you will not die today, Jedi, you will not die with honour or bravery on the battlefield, but you will live to see another day at least, the choice has been made."
Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)
"My Lord, the Jedi have opened fire on our fleet."
Elijah's head whipped around to face the crewman who had reported that; the sensors officer was usually one to report such...needless and obvious details. The Lord Knight could see the flashes of red and green energy opposing each other; this was a battle. No ignorant being needed to tell him that.
"Order the clones to begin preparations for a boarding maneuver. I want their ships under pressure to keep firing - having their ships taken down will prove valuable. Go for the medium cruisers first - the smaller ships will prove highly ineffective against our onslaught."
The words of a commander were that which would make or break an attack. Elijah wished he had Tristan available for that very purpose; not only did he serve as one of the commanders for the Byssian force, but also for the Coruscant Home Guard when necessary, and inspired dread into both ally and enemy alike. It was a rather useful thing to have.
Boarding shuttles began launching as the Leviathan began opening fire directly on the Jedi flagship, pounding away at its shields slowly while the rest of the fleet began engaging the smaller Corvettes to remove them from the equation.
At the helm of the Super Star Destroyer, Elijah leered towards the massive ship opposing him.
I come for you, Jedi. I come for you with a vengeance.

Relen watched the laser flashes from the starship as he paced up and down the bridge deep in thought, and all of a sudden, sensed something large and dangerous nearby. And at that...
"Master Zero, we have multiple launches from the Leviathan, shuttle-class. As well, three of the Corvettes are reporting major systems malfunction."
Relen stopped his pacing, and began to formulate his strategy.
"Move the damaged Corvettes to the back of the formation and have the other two cover directly. Have we got a trajectory for those shuttles?"
"Not yet, Captain."
"When any ship finds one, have the fighter screen pull back to engage, and have the other two Corvettes help out. We need to prevent them reaching our ships. Yes, it will mean the bombers get pulled back, and their fighters might put a dint in ours, and their bombers get closer, but...We can't let them board. I can tell they're boarding shuttles, since they're not angling planetside."
"Yes, sir!"
Ships began moving, and the battle continued. This was a rather intriguing way to play the game, he mused...

Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)Coruscant: You know who you are.
The Sith, Shakti thought, finally registering his presence. For one frantic moment her mind expanded its awareness, trying desperately to take in every fragment of information available to her. Things had changed. She wasn't certain how yet.
On the one hand, she couldn't have stood and railed at these Jedi forever. This was hardly the time for a debate over philosophy, whether the Jedi were in sore need of education or not. No, a crisis was certainly the worst time for that.
But on the other hand... what could he really do? He and Shakti were still outnumbered, so the worst he could do to her was force her hand either by turning her on the Jedi or turning them on her. With that cocky self-assured condescending demeanor of his, it was only consideration for their common cause that held Shakti's razor-sharp tongue in check.
Shakti slid away from the group, taking a careful sidestep that would allow her to keep an eye on her temporary allies and this new Sith. His lightsaber was already out, and he'd already made an entrance unbecoming a diplomat. There was no avoiding a fight now, it seemed. Now it became the slow and careful testing before combat, feeling out allegiances, limitations of ability and eagerness, trying to decide which of them here would reach for blood before the others.
Damn him for complicating this. Idiot. Short-sighted moron more concerned with personally shedding blood than winning this fight. Shakti clenched her hands into fists, and from the tension in her hands the anger built and crept up her skin, raising the hairs on the inside of her arms as she collected what power she could bring to bear. She wouldn't strike the first blow. Bloodthirsty, vicious, and impulsive as Shakti could be... that wasn't her way.
She was the only person here who had no idea who her enemies were, and her allies. Until hostilities broke out Shakti simply wouldn't know for sure. At this point each was as likely as the other, and what did it matter? Self-styled freedom-fighting Jedi rabblerousers, or this meddling obnoxious Sith? This could have worked, and could have been easy! Who does he think he is? Meddling with me, assuming that his best place is directly in my path! Why can't he go make himself useful someplace?
For now she remained silent, her gaze hard and wary wherever it fell. These people were all potentially her enemies, and if Shakti dropped her guard she wouldn't know it until it was too late.

Re: Not taking it Anymore (Takeover TJC/TSC)They're moving to counter the boarding parties. Interesting - they understand the threat.
Elijah grinned for a moment, knowing full well that this would be a most interesting display of battle tactics. The Jedi commander seemed to understand the principles of boarding combat, and that was a good start. Perhaps he could get this mission done well enough.
And perhaps he had an idea.
"Summon me transports and a company of clones. I am going to engage the main Jedi ship myself."
"As you wish, my Lord."
The Byssian scurried off as Elijah left the bridge of the Leviathan, watching the Star Destroyers around her taking fire. One in particular had their shields broken and the hull aflame - but that was their fault for not preparing adequately. The ornate lightsaber at Elijah's side was readied, and he knew he had to make his way onto the enemy starship quickly if he was to survive.
This was a war - he would fight it. Six more shuttles left the hangar of the Leviathan, Elijah at the forefront of the charge.
