Korriban (Midnight)

Peiori saw the Jedi knight approach, that potent female who would normally find herself hard-pressed to fight Peiori while he was immersed in the power of the valley, and he couldn't help but grin. This would be a test, for himself and for her. Right now, Peiori was sustaining his own workings on the storm, and he would not let them up, not now... That meant he wouldn't be close to top shape against this Jedi, but it would make the battle much more interesting. And who knew for certain? He had met many an opponent that were more than they seemed...Perhaps this one would betray some unforeseen talent?

Peiori's sneer widened as she neared. Involuntarily, a bemused chuckle left his lips as she ignited her lightsaber. He was without such a weapon at this point, another handicap, but he was not bothered, not now. Letting a few more chortles of the chuckle escape before he suppressed it, he glanced up at the female Jedi from his sitting position.

"Hehehe, Hello, my dear. It's always a pleasure, I thought I was going to remain...Bored."

With that, he bounded up from his indian-style sitting position and landed on both his feet; very little distance separated them now, and the tall, but unusually lanky Sith master remained imposing. The dark-red flame in his eyes still flickered with the Dark side influence of the Sith's most vile planet, and his own fell power.

"...Now we are both standing...But will it remain as such? Hehehahahaha!! Come when thou will, Jedi knight!"

Naboo

Her anger was resonating across the city in such waves that he had to repress a shudder. Clearly, she still wasn't happy from the last encounter between them. Sending the her, himself, and Brayden, her love, straight into the bowels of Hell itself.

He couldn't even believe that they had gotten out of there itself. And knowing Sky, she wouldn't allow him this time to try any of the powers that had almost doomed them to that dark hole, which had been infested by Malice.

It was sad, really, as he slithered down the steps, that there had to be a fight always. His promise of a galaxy united under the Jedi and the Sith, working togther to promote a greater galaxy together, had gone unnoticed.

Coming down the streets, he followed her through the power she was resonating, until he saw her, skulking down the street, probably heading to the Temple to enact revenge. Slithering out in the street, he faced her back.

"You know, you think you own this planet just because your in love with Brayden. You think that since he's on some other planet, your going to get away with this? I stayed here because I knew there would be someone very foolish who would try to attack."

"Tonight's winner is you."

Axelyn knew before his attack even landed that it would not hit it's mark. His attempt to mask his Force signature had failed, but all was not lost. His attack had forced the Sith down, and he had fallen hard on his shoulder. He could feel the man's pain through the Force. But as he got up, he was surprised to see that the man had concealed another weapon, once that he was not prepared to defend against.

It was a discblade, something that he recognized instantly. Yet that did not help him in his vain attempt to evade the spinning disc of death. He shifted his form to that of a Falleen, and attempted to arc his torso backward in an almost impossible position, or at least it would have been if not for the Falleen's extremely flexible skeletal structure. The weapon just barely missed his face, instead taking a slice out of his right shoulder. He grimaced and fell to one knee. He had to think of something fast, because he knew that the Sith was advancing on him.

The discblade missed its mark, but still managed to do enough damage to drop the Padawan, who was now in the form of a Falleen, if for only a second. Jehovah held his hand high, letting the deadly weapon sail smoothly into his grip. In a moment, it had done its job and was reattached, reminding the apprentice of why he prized it nearly as much as his self-constructed saber.

Finding his opponent kneeling in pain, Jehovah saw the opportunity to strike. He spun in, bringing his saber, which was now held solely in the hand of his uninjured limb, horizontally through the air. To his dismay, he found the changling able to block his attack from the ground. As the sabers clashed, he lifted his left foot, attempting to introduce the Jedi's face to the bottom of his freshly dirtied black boot.

Coruscant - Senate Hall

“Communication systems are operative.” A small but steady voice spoke from behind. Turning, Sophie faced the young technician she had encountered just moments before. His eyes were focus slightly above her own; his rigid arms seemed glued to his sides... the Senate Hall was becoming more and more like a military stronghold as the minutes elapsed.

“The Mandalorians?” She asked simply.

“Silas Beskar has been reached and is awaiting your response, m’lady.”

“Send him through to the governor’s office... and prepare a conference chamber for the address.” Sophie instructed before turning to her comrades, “Locate the Jedi... those responsible for the power breach and those responsible for the riots.”

Moving away, she paused beside Sennou and touched his shoulder, “Weave your magic and I will weave mine.”

“Mister Beskar.” Seated at Lord Thanatos’ desk within the governor’s chambers, Sophie greeted the Mandalorian. His image was ghostly blue in the streaming light of the holoscreen, “Thank you for answering the Sith’s call.”

“I understand that your people and my people have forged an informal alliance. I am interested in solidifying that pact.” She continued. Her voice was clear and every word was deliberate, “Coruscant has come under siege. The Jedi have infiltrated this planet and are attempting to overthrow the Sith government.”

Sitting taller but still remaining composed, “My Order is in need of assistance. Under normal circumstances, we would be able to repel such a threat.... but a diversionary force has attacked Korriban, our home world. Our resources have been divided and our warriors are limited.” Sophie became silent for a moment, and then nodded toward Silas’ image, “The Jedi are manipulating the public, inciting riots and rebellions. Their fleets are in orbit and I fear this great planet and its people will fall victim to war.”

“With Mandalorian reinforcements, we would be able to maintain order. Our goal is to eliminate the Jedi threat and avoid costly, deadly conflict. For your services...” She concluded, “... the Sith can offer you permanent residence on one of our worlds in addition to our gratitude and friendship.”

Maleficus didn't respond, his fury was so complete that he just darted forward again hard with both sabers, trying to knock the shield out of the Jedi's hand. He roared as he swung his arms across at the shield, using the force to increase the speed and power of his strike.

Korriban –Axelyn/ Jehovah

Niko had been holding back at the ship, organizing the many Jedi soldiers in their attack. He had managed to keep their ranks together and holding their own despite the spirits of the Dead Sith Lords. They weren’t losing, but they were not winning either. For now it appeared as if they were holding there own.

Despite keeping busy, Niko had been keeping a close eye on his Padawan through the Force. When the disk blade cut into Axelyn’s shoulder, Niko almost felt it himself. He could feel the danger his Padawan was in and moved to act. Cutting through two Sith soldiers on his way Niko made good time to stop the Sith apprentice from hurting his Padawan. Generating a massive amount of Force energy in his hand Niko released it toward Jehovah with the intent of throwing him away from his Padawan.

Fidelis watched the pair, a worthless female and a hated enemy. He grabbed his blade and began working his way towards the camp. He wanted blood, not just singed flesh in this battle.

He stopped and he began to laugh as always. He was still in the full battle garb. Armored from head to toe, his agility would be reduced but the jedi might think he nothing more then a soldier.

Korriban - Remy

Hawk's own lightsaber would have disengaged to follow suit with Remy's had he not needed to defend himself from several other dark creations that took the opportunity of the gap between him and Remy to lunge towards him but they fell back as they were struck by a wave of force power.

"For one who does not deny his ignorance of the light, you profess and preach of its teachings far more than I."

More and more of the undead and other dark creations filled the battleground, there were ways and means of putting them down permanantly but it would take time.

"I claim no such great knowlege of the force, there are still many mysteries of the light and dark for me to answer, far too many for any one lifetime."

A single brow of the Jedi's lofted as Remy produced a vortex between his fingers from which erupted a host of dark creations, Hawk did not fear them as many of the soldiers did and his lack of fear seemed to rally the spirits of those soldiers around him and they weathered the onslaught as others not so inspired fell back.

"Most impressive." Hawk said, showing no sign of being impressed in the slightest at the perversion of the force and nature that the Sith had performed. "Curious though that you know so little of my style, if I must stop you, I shall."

Hawk was stood directly in Remy's path, his aqua blue blade casting an eerie glow over himself but he did not move to attack the Sith, instead he allowed his blade to dip to the ground but instead of illiciting sparks, the ground rippled as if it was a liquid and shone a pale blue as if reflecting the light from the Jedi's lightsaber.

The concentration on Hawk's face was complete and the strain showed as he held back the darkness of Korriban from that one tiny area of the ground and scarred the surface with the light, and then suddenly there were sparks, sparks so bright that they would leave an afterimage upon the eye should they be looked at directly.

A force barrier flickered around the Jedi Master and disappeared as all his focus was poured into the rift that he was tearing into Korriban, if Remy was confused about how Hawk intended to fight him by draining himself to create the rift, he would soon discover the answer. The small wound upon the Sith world would heal in time but now it began to pulse, each pulse sending ripples out around it in a wide circle, the ground tained by the lightside tearing into the undead and other dark creatures that touched it whilst leaving any Jedi and unfortunately any Sith unscathed, however any of the dark creatures which fell within its sphere of influence remained vanquished.

With a tug, Hawk removed his blade from the rift and it took a moment for him to regain his balance and for his eyes to focus. Hawk took a few breaths and smiled as the soldiers realized what had happened and took the fight to the undead, making sure to concentrate their efforts to slay them within the area that Hawk had created.

"That should even things up a little." Hawk muttered to himself as he felt the despair of the soldiers at the seemingly endless numbers of undefeatable foes begin to lift.

The strain of holding back the darkness now off his shoulders allowed Hawk to recover much faster and the spark of hope he felt in his allies was enough to lift his own spirits, though he knew he would be likely unable to perform any great feat of the force for a while without losing conciousness, luckily it seemed as if things with Remy needed a more lightsaber orientated conclusion.

Hawk moved forwards at a walking pace, his strides purposeful and confident and the hum of his blade almost hypnotic, at the last moment he sprang forwards and he slashed low at Remy's legs aiming to cut just below the knees and at the same time a second silvery hilt shot from within his robes into his outstretching left hand and a brilliant lilac blade sprang forth carving a path directly towards Remy's right shoulder.

"I will try, my lady." he whispered.

As she left his eyes closed. A light sigh escaped his lips. Not many knew that he was a Seer. It was always for the best that they didn't. He wasn't confident in his abilities at the slightest. They were random, paralysing at times. It was the one aspect of himself that he had little to no control over.

But he would try.

Sitting himself up on his knees, he took a deep breath. One by one, he slowly shut off his senses, all feeling. It was how he started each meditation session. It was through this that he would attempt to use his given ability. Slowly, his body became numb to the senses and he simply was. Rising from itself, it seemed, he became a part of the Dark Side energies that coursed through Coruscant. Through his mind's eye, he saw the planet as a whole. Through his mind's ear, he listened to the planet.

As he sank into a deeper meditation, the black tendrils of the force wrapped around his six lightsaber hilts as they rose off of his belt. The two white lava, two crimson, and two cyan blades came to life, circling around him in a bizarre dance of burning plasma. There was something there. Light that disrupted the darkness. It was a large cluster, and Sennou focused on that. Through his mind's eye he peered, a frown on his face.

Slowly, yellow eyes rolled into the back of his head.

Just how many Jedi were there? He tried to focus, but the chaos, the riots on the streets. The sabers deactivated, flying back to his belt. Levitating off of the ground, the knight put his focus on the cluster of light. However, each time his mind's eye got closer, the screams got louder. Finally, it became too unbearable. Gasping for air, his eyes shot open, and he fell to the ground. He began coughing, breathing in deeply to try to get air into his blood stream. Things like this happened when you attempted you use a power that was untrained.

"Only a handful... but they're near. I couldn't tell who. I don't know who they are, but they're there... The chaos. The people are crying out for justice from both sides. There are those who wish to become under the Jedi's rule. There are those who wish to remain protected by the Sith. Too many voices. Too many voices..." With that, he got to his feet and started running towards the nearest access to the roof. He needed a cigarette, or to rid his stomach of its contents.

Either or would suffice.

Stean smiled. He got the exact kind of reaction he was hoping to get. The sith was coming at him to knock his shield away. But the thing about the shield, it was designed to take that kind of brunt attack.

As the sith swung his swords against the shield, Stean pushed the shield back against them. The shield would be able to absorb the kinetic energy if it was hist right on the front.

The the Sith's Sabers occupied with his shield, Stean saw an opening at the Siths stomach. As fast and hard as he could, he thrusted his Saber at the stomach.

Korriban - Mikel

A double-bladed sword. Not many Sith seemed to use swords these days - though many did go for a double-bladed lightsaber. In fact, the first weapon the Jedi had built, back when he was with the Regnum, had been a lightstaff based on the ones once used by the ancient Sith. Goff's first strike was dodged near-effortlessly and the second deflected with a twist of his own lightsaber.

A few years ago the Jedi would have peppered his assaults with insults and put-downs toward his opponent, a varient of the Sith Dun Möch technique used to to distract and anger whoever one was fighting. In Zelazny's case, it was more a manifestation of his inherent arrogance. Things had changed. In recent months he had been training and meditating, healing his damaged mind. His personality had undergone some changes - in essence, he was almost the man he had been before joining the Sith. And that man would not stand for this.

The Jedi began his counterattack, a series of short, fast strikes towards the Sith's wrists and legs. His arms barely moved at all, using only the leverage of his wrists to sent the blade at his enemy.

Coruscant - Senate Hall

As Sophie headed off to deal with the business of the Mandalorians and the others had their own affairs to attend to in the defense, Maize's comlink chirped. Pulling it off his belt with a growl, he found it a second communication from Archaen.

Maize:

Planetary Defenses are on alert. Ground defenses and shields are doubled. Two Star Destroyers, four Venators, one Providence are in orbit on defensive. Fighter wings were launched into orbit.

Civil, ground forces have been dispatched to quell the riots in the same manner we handled Nethalan's insurgents.

Civil services are on terror alert.

Forces have been sent to contain the district black-out. This cordons off the district from the rest of Coruscant. No one goes in or out. Forces are moving systematically through to quell insurgents and rioters to restore the peace.

More as available.

-AF

"Well, that is good at least..." Maize rumbled. He responded with a short transmission to Archaen to say as much, expecting to be kept informed as matters were resolved.

From there, he'd led Darth Fenris manage things once he arrived at Coruscant.

Korriban: Arumizy, Chloe

The armor might have obscured him, if Metran hadn't heard his voice and sensed his presence before. Leaning down, he whispered to Chloe. "He's very dangerous: stay on the defensive, and watch for an opening."

Igniting both blades of his lightstaff, Metran stepped towards Arumizy while spinning it slowly. "Heard you got your face burned off. I'm sorry for you: that's got to sting. By the way - Julius sends his regards."

With the pleasantries exchanged, Met' moved in to engage the Sith. His first strikes were predictable midsection blows, then he shifted his attack to diagonals with follow-through. He had to keep the Sith's attention on him with hopes to break through his defenses. He'd prefer that a girl as young as Chloe didn't have to cause the kind of pain that a lightsaber inflicted.

Of course, that would be preferable to receiving it.

The kick would have broken the Padawan's nose, but instead barely scraped him, as Jehovah was thrown through the air before contact could be made. Luckily, he was able to land on his feet, though grace seemed absent in his feet's quest for the ground. After stumbling a few paces, he turned around angrily, glaring at the Jedi who had finally come to rescue his apprentice.

It seemed he would be engaging two opponents, though not alone. The Force was with him, the natural darkside aura of the planet empowering his skills beyond the usual level. He flexed his left arm behind him, stretching the aching shoulder. The pain had seemed to fade, though moving it was no pleasure. He dropped his hand, propelling himself into the air. With the agility of an acrobat, he flew forward, coming to a stop in front of the Knight and Padawan.

At another attempt to separate the two, Jehovah once again used his powers to push the weaker back, simoutaneously bringing the searing red blade horizontally across the master. He would be unable to dominate either as long as they were together; keeping them apart, even just a little bit, would be of the utmost importance if victory was desired.

KORRIBAN - HAWK

Remy watched Hawk's display of power with a look of contempt. By opening a small Lightside rift, he did in fact ensure the death of immediate creations. However, they weren't mindless beings. Having recognized the threat, the undead and Sithspawn merely avoided the area, moving on to tear and shred the bodies of the Jedi troopers in other places. The burst of valor in the present jedi troops could not possibly make up for the terror being felt elsewhere.

The Darkside already whispered in his ear what to expect as Hawk drew near. The Jedi's intent to attack was quite clear. Reaching out a hand, Remy called a sturdy wooden splinter, about five feet long, into his grasp. The Sith master would use a piece of the very temple that the Jedi damaged to defend himself. The Darkness rippled through his being as his fingers tightened around the wood, which suddenly took on a black sheen. As Hawk brought his blade in to slash at the master's legs, Remy used the alchemy altered wood to block the blade, holding it in place.

At the same time, he raised his left hand across his chest, placing its palm outward of his right shoulder. The air rippled with haze as Hawk's other lightsaber blade came in, suddenly stopped in mid air by a small and compact Force shield. Even with the shield in place, Hawk's blade came in slowly, millimeter by millimeter. It was not a permanent fix by any means.

It was only for a split second that the masters stood, almost entangled. Already the palm of Remy's hand that was holding off the lightsaber blade began to sizzle and burn. Harnessing the pain, he concentrated it into the center of his chest, unleashing a sudden torent of yellow Force lightning.

The Darkside on Korriban was particularly strong, an advantage Remy had not counted on until now.

Arcing forward in an unpredictable path, the yellow tendrils of lightning sprung from the Master's very core, using Remy's body as a conductor. Its intent was to hit Hawk straight in the chest, a distance of less than two feet, and throw him back.

A slow smile spread across the young warrior's scruffy face. Tying back his long blonde hair with a scrap of string, he listened carefully. The displaced people of Mandalore had long been looking for a place to call home. No doubt the rest of the Mandalorians would bee to scared too make their home on a Sith planet. However, the Beskars were tough and took what was earned.

"This is a matter our clan leader must decide. I shall call him." Silas said quickly, fumbling around in a nearby rucksack, finally pulling out a commlink.

Pushing a button that would message Herik, who lay somewhere about the ship, he awaited his superior's presence.

"Out of curiousity, as we wait for Herik to arrive," Silas asked, tilting his head to the side, "What exactly is it you wish us to do?"

Coruscant (Razielle/Serapis)

The all-consuming darkness that Coruscant had been plunged into was an all too fitting cloak for the Sith and as Orocus moved through the inky shadows his eyes were the only light, two thin slivers of hot-white fire. With much of the machinery that powered the sector having ground to a halt, the city was abnormally quiet. Now and then the apprentice would hear the distant sound of voices, or see the faint and brief flash of a swerving speeders headlights.

Although Adrasteia had charged them both with aiding in returning full power to the district, some part of Orocus knew that this was not their only goal – that the seer sought retribution, vengeance, for the actions of the Jedi. In the darkening streets, it was difficult to discern who was friend or foe, but the apprentice had no doubt that it would be only a matter of time before they were met with hostile resistance.

The monk stood steadfast as he saw a pale figure thundering towards him through the crowds. She hefted a mighty hammer upon her shoulders, as if weighed barely anything at all, the heavy stone head already marked with blood and viscera. Yoshiro was armed with only his saber, but did not show fear in the face of the formidable weapon. He inclined his head slightly, in a nod of greeting. A challenge had been issued and, in the interests of protecting the lives of the soldiers aiding the Jedi effort, he could not refuse. The Jedi Knight, right foot sliding backwards to steady his posture, assumed a defensive stance and allowed his blue-bladed saber to hum to life.

Axel was down, but not out of it completely. Although the wound was initially serious, the young Jedi padawan used his base knowledge of Force healing techniques to cauterize the wound and minimize the damage. It still hurt, but it wasn't at risk to get worse. But, in his inexperience, he failed to notice the Sith preparing a devastating follow-up attack. As he looked up, he tried to evade as best he could, but it was clear that the kick would land.

He was surprised then, when he saw the Sith fly across his line of sight. He turned around to see his master, Niko Brix, approaching the battlefield. Nodding his silent thanks, he rolled out of the way and back to his feet, joining Niko in anticipation of a combined plan of attack. The Sith slowly got to his feet as well. The three combatants eyed each other for a moment, and then the Sith tried to use Force push to take Axelyn out of the equation.

But this time, Axelyn was prepared. He leapt high into the air, aided by the Force, and landed behind the opposing Sith. But rather than seeing if his attack had landed, the Sith went right on executing an attack on Niko. Seeing an oppurtunity, Axel decided that this time, it was time for him to go on the offensive. With the Sith's back to him, Axelyn sped in, silver lightsaber cutting through the air, in an attempt to sever the dark sider's saber arm at the elbow.

Chloe stood behind Met as he went to fight the sith and ignited her lightsaber. The young padawan didn’t like the idea of the jedi fighting alone but she did as he said staying out of the way for now. However if the sith came after her than she would fight or if Met got hurt.

Standing to the side out of the way she watched the two fight looking for a way to help out her new found friend.

"A makeover?" Ciara started laughing heartily. "Hahahaha! No, wait, stop... Hahahahaha! You really are a comedian, you know that?" She wiped her brow and pushed her long black locks of hair away from her face. "Jedi, this isn't a little girls' sleepover. This is a planet that if you win, which I highly doubt, will kick you off of it itself."

She walked around and towards her side, keeping the distance between them. Katrina's blade humming as Ciara had yet to light hers. She sized up her opponent more carefully. The first mistake one can make is underestimating. For Ciara to think she was more powerful was no good. She had to know she were. The home field advantage worked out nice as well as the sky started to rain fire aimed at all the Jedi and felt her love's force behind it.

The two women were of equal height, most likely she was a knight. Instead of jumping on it to rip her apart, she started conversation. She needed to see her mannerisms and study them before Ciara would strike. "So, Jedi make-up artist. What will you do with this planet once you get it?" Her crimson blade snap-hissed to life as she stood her ground.

Axel & Niko

Seeing his plan fail, Jehovah was forced to adjust mid-swing. In a graceful readjustment, he turned his shoulder into the silver blade, his own missing its intended target by several inches. The cortosis weaved durasteel, which took the form of the only real defense his Sith armor provided--the rest of the suit designed for maximum movement and agility--proved very much useful, preventing the Padawan from slicing off his shoulder. The momentum of the swing, along with the Sith's own movements, however, forced him to the ground.

The smile that signalled his sick lust for battle disappeared now. In its place, the lips were pressed tight, the eyes stern. Before either Jedi could finish him, Jehovah pushed himself up, landing on his feet a few feet away, just out of either saber's reach. Though his physical eyes were closed, his mind's eye keenly watched his surroundings. His saber deactivated and fell to the ground at his feet, both arms rising above his head. The pain in his shoulder was as present as ever, but he simply dealt with it.

When the penetrating gaze returned, it came with a surprise. Using the darkness within, he had gained command of two undead, ones conjured earlier by the powerful Sith Masters in the valley, both living and deceased. Jehovah simply stood there, allowing his hands to fall back to his sides. The Inferi, however, began their assault on the lightsiders, sailing with a devilish speed toward their position.

Without thinking, Jehovah called his lightsaber to his hand, but did not yet ignite it. Instead, he focused his energies on the pair of darkside minions.

Korriban (Peiori)

Eyebrow hinged faintly as the laughter came over this one's speech- wondering exactly what kind of fight she had stepped into. It would not be the first time she had crossed paths with the crazy- so lost within darkness even their minds seemed to unhinge- and hopefully it would not be her last. Not that she enjoyed this- but rather wished to live another day and so hence see another fight.

"Shall we have the introductions and spiel of trying to turn one another? Or get right to it?"

A sheltered smile left her lips- the lightsaber she let rotate slightly in her hands to prepare for battle. He had none- but then again, never underestimate your opponent- there was much more to the Force then blatant strikes of the saber.

Naboo (Mak)

A haunted smile tipped her lips at his words, so arrogant was he- but still the ol' worm never seemed to fail at amusing her.

"Am I foolish? We have yet to see the ending of this fight and yet you believe the cards will fall in your favor."

The wind swept around them as if to form unseen barriers around the two in anticipation of the fight. Darkened hair fell in roves down her back as they were caught in the breezes, dressed not as a Sith Lordess but rather a Nabooian civilian- the scene already attracting a few commoners curious about this unusual standoff.

"But you are right of the outcome- for I will win, Jedi. And you... will not be as fortunate."

Without raising her hand, concentration pivoted on the Jedi's throat- constricting it under unseen pressure. Now would be the day of the worm's end- in one way or another.
