Re: MyrkrThe Gates of Hyllyard City At few clicks from the Forward Command Area....
Tyriq watched as the fires near the gates of the city grew, that could only mean one thing, either things where going really good for the division down their, or things just got a little hotter. All of a sudden the pilot pressed against his helmet as new orders where being relayed to him. Looking over his shoulder slightly he stared directly at Calrissian. Tyriq pressed his comms earpiece and asked. “What is it pilot?” He said as he returned the long gaze. “A priority message for you from forward command.” Tyriq nodded for him to patch it through as they came over a field opening which allowed for better transmission.
“Lieutenant Calrissian here.”
“Calrissian this is the Colonel speaking, it seems we have a situation closing in on your sector, Intel confirms that it’s an enemy troop commander, his name has yet to be identified, but you are to obliterate his presence before he is able to do anything. Understood?” Tyriq looked at the pilot and gave a single nod which meant for him to take him towards the units that where being put in place to defend from this attacking force.
"Understood sir, Calrissian out." The ship made a wide banking turn as it headed towards the direction of this advancing force. Poor soul, he must have been filled with some silly talk if he thought that attacking an Imperial Invasion force was a smart move. Tyriq was thinking about giving him change to leave before he got really pissed and tried to kill him. Who in their right mind attacks an Imperial forward Command center anyway? Don’t they know what they are going up against, there are more troops present their sometimes then onboard the ships and they plan on defeating them?
The sea of white shiny helmet tops could be seen from miles as the massive assortment of troops moved into position. Tyriq was going to have to put his Commando skills on hold as this would be fight of diplomacy, and the former Colonel knows a little something about battle tactics.
Re: Myrkr
In the blackness of space a lone light appeared above the imperial fleet and out from the formless surged a form, a large sleek ship of Core design; a marauder corvette? Hundreds of Buzz Droids poured down upon the fleet, like a swarm angry wasps. Confused, Chaos began to spit out more orders seeing the two opposing fleets. “STR-7, follow course and join with the others” the droid headed to the forward cockpit then stopped as Chaos barked “did they send this many imps after me?”. In reply the droid shook his mainframe “not sir I believe they are trying to take the planet” A sigh of relief I knew that he reassured himself I knew that
Over the intercom raged a message on all frequencies Laides and Gentlemen: introducing....ME!
Chaos burst forward on superior engines, joining the rest of the fleet “hey boss, I still have 75% of my buzz units and a well oiled crew, just tell me what to do” Over the personal com, Chaos reported settling onto his plush lined cockpit throne.

Re: Myrkr
Ayreon's reaction was quick and professional on both counts. He knew that the movement towards the Twi'lek would be extraneous and unneeded, as if she pulled out a melee weapon, he could easily neutralize her, and if she brought out a blaster, well, the earlier ionic bombardment had surely knocked out its workings. The actions of Ellis, however, were much more serious, at least in intention. As the mock weapon that was the manacles flew towards him, Ayreon sidestepped cleanly to his left, so his left thigh faced the coming threat, and with a feeding motion, drew his Force Pike in his left hand.
As he finished the draw, Arin's leg slammed into the hard crimson armor on his thigh, deadening the force of the blow. Now at close range with the outlaw, he activated the electrical shock function of his Force pike, hoping the powerful current would pulse through Arin and knock her off of her feet. Similarly, his right hand took instinctive, deliberate aim, and fired a single bolt of powerful energy straight at the Twi'lek.
His target was the female alien's pelvis, an area that would get him the best of both worlds as far as stopping power and immobilization were both outcomes. As the searing bolt of plasma moved towards its target, Ayreon remained focused on Arin. From years of training, the art of a sightless shot was common in experienced guards, and though Ayreon was less than perfect by corps standards, as shown in this example, the chances of this missing weren't very high.
Keeping his attention on Arin, even at this close range, Ayreon waited only a few picoseconds for her response to his attack, focusing on taking her down most of all.
Re: Myrkr
The barrel of Ayreon's blaster jerked as the bolt flew from it, and when it slammed into Alema it knocked her back into the wall, her feet skidding on the floor. Her spine straightened briefly as her head cracked back against the metal behind her, her lekku cushioning the impact. What should have caused excrutiating pain in the sensitive appendages was only a distant brush to Alema's senses.
It was her first clue as to how badly she'd been injured. Alema's shoulder broke her fall as she hit the floor, and even then she couldn't feel it. She didn't know enough first aid to understand what was happening, but the dimness of her senses was the first response of her body to the massive injury. She was going into shock, and she could smell the smoke from the blaster wound even if she couldn't feel pain.
But no one was coming. So it didn't matter.
At least this way she couldn't feel anything and maybe she would die before that wore off. It would certainly be convenient. Probably wouldn't happen, though. If she was still conscious, he couldn't have hit anything vital. Maybe. What Alema didn't know was that if the injury itself didn't kill her, hypovolemic shock still could.
She watched Arin and Ayreon's feet moving across the floor, and it occurred to her that they were still fighting. She wondered who was winning. Maybe Arin would get away. After all, Arin had come to help her, and it meant she had to be a decent person. Maybe she'd escape.
That would be nice, Alema thought dimly. I'd like that.Edited by: Alema Nilim at: 6/29/07 8:59 pm

Re: MyrkrThe Gates of Hyllyard City Frontlines of Forward Command Area...
Tyriq jumped out the back of the lift before it could land, he pointed towards a gap between lines that just wouldn’t cut it. He walked up to the unit commander that was issuing orders to sub officers as the orders came in just a few seconds ago. His officers quickly caught the approaching Calrissian and a chill ran through their bodies, reading this language, the unit commander, who was a captain turned to see Calrissian. If you didn’t know about the exploits of the former Colonel, then you couldn’t consider yourself a true grunt officer. This man led some of the fiercest campaigns the Republic marines had ever seen, he was a warrior at heart and everyone who served with him knew this. Maintain his command presence, the Captain then asked him.
“Lieutenant…what can I do…”
Tyriq quickly barked into asking question he knew the Captain would not be able to answer?
“Have you scouted this force yet?”
“Ah…”
“What about your armored units, are they in position?”
“Well…it hasn’t come to that…”
“Tell me…sir…are you even taking this attack seriously?” Tyriq said as he looked around at the non-caring manner in which the troopers moved about, not an inch of motivation in their body as this would be looked at as an attack that carried with it no real weight.
“We are doing what we can, now contain yourself Lieutenant.” Calrissian slowly looked at him as he then said. “If they break through you lines and so much as get a shot off anywhere near our forward post, I will hunt you down like the lazy dog you are and kill you myself.” Tyriq turned and walked away, maybe he should have taken a higher position when he had the chance, that’s the second time in five hours he has threaten a high ranking officer, he almost knows that’s not going to happen too many more times. He walked over to his transport as his commandos stood guard outside and waited for him to give the order to board.
Tyriq first needed to make contact with his command about his next move.

Re: Myrkr
As anticipated, Arin's kick landed on something solid. She used it to push off, rolling back to avoid counter-attacks as she had no weapons for hand-to-hand combat. As she spun back, her eyes widened at the sight of Alema falling backwards and slumping to the floor.
"Cobalt!" Spinning about, she did her best to check the nature of the Twi'lek's wound and to do what she could with it. While Arin had basic field medic training, she lacked any materials or medicines to work with. Alema needed immediate care if she had a hope of surviving, and Arin was hard pressed to offer it.
In the meantime: a rational part of her mind did note that the Imperial was standing behind her, and it would just be typical for his type to ram his force pike through both their torsos to finish them off. Unfortunately she was rather at a loss to do anything about that at the moment.

Gavin Swung his right fistm toward the armored Imperial, knowing it would have low to no effect. His fist hit the left shoulder of the trooper, forcing the mans body to twist slightly. Gavin knew that to use his skill as a brawler, he had to get the head area of the trooper exposed. To do that, he would have to remove the imperial's helmet and not get sliced in half by the force-pike.
Within seconds, the trooper started to swing his buzzing weapon at the torso of Gavin. He stated Jumping back to save himself from getting killed or at least choped in two. The couldn't keep this up forever, because now he could see the trooper prepare to try and stab him. As the soldier's arm flexed backward to prepare for a thrust, Gavin saw his opening. With a quick upper cut, the trooper was stopped from thrusting the pike forward. Gavin saved himself for the moment, but his hand was screaming in pain. All the knuckles on his right hand hit plastic dead on, that did not give an inch. It felt as if someone hit him in the hand with a good sized rock.
As the trooper's head was still facing upward from the upper cut, Gavin saw the moment he was waiting for. He did not have to get the helmet off at all, as he almost forgot about the blaster still in his left hand. With a flick of the wrist, he fired a shot that ripped into the torso of the soldier's armor. The man was either dead, or soon to be now. No need to fire again, he would let the trooper choke to death on the fluids and blood that filled his lungs.
Turning his attention back to the ship, he saw a possible window of time for him to get inside it, or at least closer to it. The adrenaline rushing through his veins pushed him along as he made a full out sprint toward the ship. blaster fire ripped the ground around him, as the rest of the troops became wise to the fact that he was an enemy. One shot shattered a rock that was wedged into the ground nearby him, sending pieces of it flying toward the left leg of Gavin. One jagged piece of rock ripped through the knee of Gavin's pants, making a gash in the middle of the knee. This forced him to nearly trip, as the pain in his leg made him forget about the pain in his hand.
This was just not his day.... But the people on the ship might be fairing worse than him; that idea did not make him feel ant better though.

As the bounty hunter backed off of her desire to fight him, a wise choice in her unarmed state, Ayreon stood without movement for a handful of seconds, still alert, but musing to himself at the circumstances of it all. It would be best overall for him and the Empire if the shot woman did not, in fact, die, but there was little that could be done about that event, so he bothered not with it. Keeping his blaster trained on the pair, his Force-pike ready, and staying keenfully aware of the fighting going on outside the ship, Ayreon let only one thought escape.
Cobalt...Interesting. At least we have a callsign.
A callsign that would probably never be used again, no matter what the outcome of these particular crossing of fate was. Keeping his quiet, Ayreon moved his foot over to the pair of binders that had landed behind him and slid them on the floor to Arin's position. They were easily within reach.
"It's shame, this didn't have to happen... But before you start any musings, let's be clear; don't think of this as a 'miss', I didn't "miss", this wasn't an "accident". It was a consequence. I was going to disable her hand as insurance, but then you had to act. Stricter aim was then made a requirement."
He nodded towards the binders.
"Now lets go, put them on both of you like I described earlier. She, and you are more useful to me alive rather than dead, and she needs immediate medical care. Care that she will get after you drag her to it."
Re: Myrkr
The IRS Meridian was the line ship of the IRS Progenitor, IRS Gaelor, and the IRS Morcanth. The Star Destroyers was in the midst of a fiery fight between one of the Mon Calamari MC80 Star Cruiser, the amount of rapid return fire between the two ships was astounding, and Sevina on the other hand knew that the ship was not made to combat the likes of a Victory Star Destroyer. Standing in solitude on the bridge of her ship she watched as several explosions rocked the inside of the cruiser before it began its slow tilt towards the planets surface. The bright lighting effects from the constant barrage of battery fire that now targeted the escaping ships pods did nothing for her as it was a small victory in a massive battle.
A quick approaching bridge officer stopped a few feet from her and waited until she acknowledges him before preceding any closer. Looking over her shoulder slightly she asked him. “What do you want?” “Captain, the Progenitor received some damage to their Solar Ionization Reactor, they have requested permission to return to fleet formation and undergo repairs.” Sevina nodded as the officer slightly downed his head and turned towards the communications station signaling them to carry out the orders. Continuing to watch for a few seconds before turning away and moved towards her navigation station, Sevina knew that this battle would get a lot worst before it got better.
“What’s the status on the enemy fleets?” Sevina questioned without looking at the officers at their station. Scrambling for information a few seconds, the responded. “They are faltering under the pressure of the Imperial fleets Captain, but it’s the small cruisers that are giving us the hardest time.” Just then, the ship rocked from several bomber attacks as it made some lose their footing. Sevina looked back towards the bridge view and watched as they prepared for a second run. “Maximum power to forward deflector shields.” She spoke as she watched the second attack quickly fail against the brunt of return fire that nearly destroyed little squadron. “Lieutenant Commander Pol.” Sevina said as the Imperial Air Wing Commander mad her way towards the Captain.
With a gentle smile she asked her star pilot, “Can you do something about these bomber and fighter runs against my ship?” The commander smiled as she moved away with saying a word and singled the two pilots standing by to follow her to the hanger bays. Sevina turned back to the bridge to see the ships of her line once again executing a circular formation, isolating another modified battleship, effecting targeting and neutralizing its defenses and weapons. Sevina’s ship delivering carefully choreographed attacks to began the irreversible stages of a reactor core melt down. This was going to be a long day.

Professor Mengol
The loopy Professor Mengol sat in his cell, tapping a pattern out on the bars that seperated him from the main guards. Of course, the bars were also seperated from the main guards by a forcefield, but the tapping came in handy - it was a system that High Command had devised to avoid trouble, and Professor Mengol had created it for them. The pattern that he tapped was transmitted by metallic plates, connected to the base of the bar, into a computer terminal in the inaccessible recesses of the ship. Sitting there, an isolated MSE droid, presumably Hathoruodo's personal mouse droid MSE-X-KZD, received the signal, and analysed the modified version of Morse Code. With the dots and dashes reversed and the letters being two off the original, it meant that nobody else would understand the garbled script, other than another Mouse Droid programmed to understand or perhaps a member of High Command, if they had taken the time to learnt the code.
When Professor Mengol had finished carefully tapping out the code, he stepped forwards, stretched his arms through the bars as if clawing towards the guards, and whispered with eyes wide opened, "help me." The guards looked at him oddly, and he added "or you'll be sorry, Jimmy. What out for the hoogenflep." Thinking him simply a deranged madman, they turned away, and the forcefield mechanism sparked. As they turned back, a blaster shot fired, narrowly missing them. The security guards spun back, flustered and unable to work out what was happening. Suddenly the pale green hue of the forcefield vanished and with a cry of "huzzah" from Mengol, the security doors clamped downwards.
Seconds later, the security cameras inside the room shut down, effectively blocking anyone from seeing into the prison cell. Whilst this meant that the more-than-slightly eccentric Professor was unable to contact anyone, a punishment that most prisoners hated beyond all others, it allowed him to have access to the main computers. The mouse droid's programme had opened a hatch in the wall after all security feeds were shut down, and the computer terminal inside contained a live feed to the auxilliary bridge as well as all sensors. Watching all data as it streamed onto the tiny hologram, Professor Mengol looked for only one piece of data. And he found it quickly, a ship landed in any of the hangar bays identified as one piloted by Falcon Ghent. The Professor had plans for that Darktrooper, and with him aboard they could safely leave.
Using the command override functions, and muttering to himself under his breath as his right eye gently twitched, he set a location for all Imperial starfighters belonging to their fleet, and a location for the two Imperial-class Star Destroyers belonging to Hathoruodo's fleet to head towards. Launching all other fighters, he manually controlled the entire Super-class Star Destroyer's engines, leaving the gunners to pick off minor enemy starfighters as well as firing at enemy capital ships, and plotted a hyperspace jump to the nearest Imperial outpost. Confirming that the jump was correct, and that all but the CGT array and starfighters were aboard, Mengol pressed the button to enter hyperspace, and then closed the computer terminal, tapping a code into the prison bars for the Mouse Droid to remove all problems and restore his situation to normal. The bridge crew would be puzzled, but Mengol couldn't be fingered as the culprit.
Drake Pollard
High Admiral Drake Pollard, acting leader of the Imperial Starfleet, counted in his head. Without moving his body, or even his lips, as he silently calculated odds, he totalled up the starfighter corps situation. The enemy kamikaze fleet had a total of 48 X-wings, 40 Javelin attack starfighters, 20 dragonflies and 20 T-84 Starwings. The total of 128 one-man fighters were no match for the 72 TIE varients (48 TIE fighters and 24 TIE bombers) released from every Imperial class Star Destroyer, and whilst the X-wings lasted quite a while, the insects and aquatic vessels didn't last as long. The Imperial gunboat T-84s lasted much longer, but were too preoccupied with combating TIE fighters to be able to affect the TIE bomber swarms for long. Very quickly, the enemy fleet had no starfighters left.
And that wasn't the worst of their problems. Before they came within suitable firing range, the enemy's 37c Assault Cruisers were obliterated by heavy fire and the Valient Siege Cruiser wasn't much longer-lasting. As the two Vengeance-class Star Destroyers gained speed, and reached the level of their ex-colleagues, the Star Destroyer fleet opened fire, targeting the two shield generators first and foremost as the TIE bombers swarmed them. Quickly they were tilted downwards by the fire on the top-side of the ships, and soon after the shield generators blew. The first Vengeance didn't last much longer before it drifted as a useless carcass into deep space, but the second Vengeance-class Star Destroyer was pushed, perhaps with poor Imperial planning, towards an Imperial-II class Star Destroyer.
The two collided, fully in the bows, causing a maelstrom of heat and flame that would have blinded any onlookers. One of the Imperial vessels were destroyed, but at the cost of the entire outdated fleet. Whether Kane would have settled for that was unknown to the Imperial leaders, but they were certainly satisfied with it. Meanwhile, however, Kane's superior fleet came to attack position on the near side, using the Keldabe's shield leech to strip bare an entire Star Destroyer, and the combined firepower of Kane's fleet tore that vessel to shreds. High Admiral Pollard gave the order for all vessels to fire on that ship, attempting to work out how it had managed to gain enough power to strip the shields bare.
The fleets fired on the front side, but the energy absorbed from the dead Imperial Star Destroyer was used as a frontal shield, taking all the energy from the lasers. Drake didn't frown as he attempted to calculate the best course of action to combat this unexpected threat.
Suddenly, however, the Keldabe-class exploded in a brilliant fireball, and a squadron of TIE fighters came from within Kane's fleet, 9 remaining of the original 12. As High Admiral Pollard glanced from the magnified viewing screen to his tactical display, he saw the two Imperial II-class Star Destroyers that had previously belonged to Grand Admiral Hathoruodo's fleet flanking Kane's newer fleet. A communication came in, the familiar crackling preceeding the actual voice. "This is Commodore Williams of the Imperial Second Fleet requesting orders, High Admiral." Drake smiled, his first motion in quite a while, at the ingenuity of whoever had removed the Super-class Star Destroyer. The fleets were now engaged fully. The Imperial Star Destroyers and Interdictors were all fully engaged with Kane's ship, including all starfighters launched from their bays, and all other vessels were engaged with Renze's ships, because their matched speeds kept the latter from escaping.

Re: MyrkrThe Gates of Hyllyard City About a mile from the city gates....
Massive explosions rocked the nearby areas as several AT-ST’s where targeted and blown into oblivion. The Imperial ground forces that had laid siege to the gates of this capital city had since had their work cut out for them being as the cities defenses where way more advance that the initial intel reports. The front lines cover an area of about a mile as entrenched positions where being made and improvised by both sides. One of the surviving AT-ST’s of the recent wave of attacking was able to launch two of its concussion grenades just before mortar where able ot finish them off. Screaming engines of air support flew over head as their where countered with anti-air defenses positioned on the other side of the massive construct that was keeping everything essentially out. The two grenades connected with tank positions effective blowing them out of the way. The tiny victory was short lived as a second slowly rolled in its place.
Tyriq and company where now dodging and weaving through the massive attacks that seem to continue without letup as they approached the division commander of the unit. The Major was tucked behind a communications array that he had been yelling at for the past several hours. When he caught site of Tyriq he nearly jumped out of his armor as he grabbed him and pulled him towards a observation spot he had made himself. Confused, Tyriq followed him and got down as he did and searched around to see what he was suppose to be looking for. Just then, a loud command was heard as several e-web positions and grenadier troopers began a massive assault of the gates main defensives. The attack was just mind boggling, the amount men used for this and the sheer amount of fire power used, it was enough to wage war on several fronts to be honest.
The firing on the outlaw side slowed down as they where taking on heavy fire form the Imperials. Thinking this was won, Tyriq watched with eagerness as the troops approached the position. With a huge force, it was then Tyriq saw it, a massive ammunition round came from the bows of the city and landed near their position. Protecting himself from the blast, the radius of the attack wiped out the advancing troopers and armor, kicking up huge amounts of dirt, cogging the air and throwing bodies around. This was the reason the couldn’t advance any further into the city, that is why they where in essence losing the ground fight. This huge piece of artillery was turning the war in favor of the enemy by keeping the imperial forces at bay. Tyriq looked towards the major who watched as the enemy forces began their rapid barrage of fire against the more distance positions.
“How do I get in?” Tyriq asked as he and the major made their way back to his original position. “The only time the defenses are down, is when they pull them from the other parts of the city. They do this when they think we are about to breach the gates like we just did.” The Major looked over at a tiny display as he continued. “I wanted you to see that because the next time it happens, it will be your cover that it’s provided for.” Looking up back at the city and its defenses he spoke. “I only have one more shot at this before I begin to run of out men to throw in front of this grinder. Make sure to disable that weapon of we are all goners out here Lieutenant.” Tyriq walked over to him and asked.
“What about the AT-AT’s they could march through here and tear apart these tanks and that weapon.” The major nodded in agreement as he spoke moving to do something else. “Can’t risk them being blow out of the sky before they land. In case you haven’t heard, the navy has it hands full, last thing they need to worry about is the possibility of the ground forces losing what land we have managed to take thus far.” Walking back over to Tyriq he said. “You can do this right?” Tyriq looked at him and nodded as he turned and moved towards the long, narrow trench that lead towards the woods. The major had a bad felling he would be able to pull this off, and if that was the case, some drastic measures would have to be taken to ensure the Empire does come out on top.

Arin didn't even bother to look at the binders. "No: this wasn't an accident. The Empire kills and desroys - this is all you're capable of.
"You're right: she needs immediate medical care, because she's critically injured. Unfortunately you're also an idiot, because the one thing she doesn't need is to be moved until she's stabilized. I don't have the tools or the training for anything that complicated, and I seriously doubt you would trouble yourself to learn any skill that didn't involve killing or torturing something. Now: you want your prisoners? Then you call in a medical team to clean up your sloppy work. Doing what you've described is stupid, irresponsible, and ultimately lethal.
"As for the binders: you came in here alone, getting binders on your prisoners is your problem; and before you get any brilliant ideas, I'm doing all I can to keep her alive - more than you're capable of, since you don't even know enough not to move an injured person. Binders won't exactly help that process."
Arin sighed - such blind arrogance must be the one constant in the galaxy.
Re: Myrkr
Alema watched Arin's knee touch the floor in front of her as the bounty hunter tried to check her injury. It occurred to her that she should move or speak or... or something. It was just hard to get up the motivation to do it. She listened to Ayreon Faraway's instructions with only the dimmest interest, but Arin's ranting brought a weak smile to her face.
She's right, I have to admit it. She makes a pretty good case, whether I like it or not. Alema wanted to say something, but it just seemed... well, complicated. Moving her mouth and breathing at certain times and thinking about words and sounds and things... it was an effort she didn't really want to sustain. At the same time, Arin was trying very hard to make sure Alema got out of this alive, and even if Alema herself didn't much care for the outcome... it would be unconscionably rude to return such a gesture with ingratitude.
"Arin," Alema whispered, the name trailing off at the end as the Twi'lek's breath gave out. She tried again. "This schutta wants... information... from me. If... I die then he... can't have it," she told Arin. "He knows that." In that light, the Crimson Guardsman had more reason to want Alema alive than Arin did, at least from a pragmatic standpoint. However, Alema knew that pragmatism probably wasn't the first thing on this stranger's mind.
It was possible that Arin and their captor could get Alema medical attention in time to save her life, and even a bacta patch at this point would be better than nothing. Unfortunately, if Arin stayed with her she would lose any chance she might have had to escape, and for what? To hand the Twi'lek over for interrogation. It just didn't make sense.
Brown eyes fixed themselves on Arin's. One headtail twitched like the tail of an agitated cat, and Alema shifted almost imperceptibly, shaking her head once.

Arin dipped low to Alema's head. "Shh - one crisis at a time: don't get ahead of me."
She then turned to the Trooper. "All right, Redbritches: at this point you've got two options.
"The first is to hunt down a first aid kit either inside this ship or in the wreckage of my N-2 outside ... the case was in the tail, its red with white trim, and is designed to deal with the ship getting shot down. It includes a fairly complete emergency kit and a handy-dandy datapad with easy to follow flowcharts and instructions.
"The second option is for you to kneel down here and hold this while I get the kit. If you don't choose between one of those two, she's going to bleed to death and everybody loses. So - what'll it be?"

Re: Myrkr
Ayreon scowled beneath his helmet. The insults to his intelligence were not necessary. Ayreon shook his head;
"In the first place, you misplaced 'stupidity' and cruelty, I'm afraid. My knowledge of first aid nonwithstanding, any piece of bantha fodder knows that seriously injured people shouldn't be moved. You'll notice, I mentioned she was worth more to me alive, but I never said that she was worth so much as that keeping her alive was a strict requirement."
She began to fall further into shock, and Ayreon began maneuvering his Force pike so that the cutting edge was facing behing him; he spoke as he worked.
"...In fact, from her words, I think she would prefer if I let her die...Fulfilling her last wish: how's that for the supposed uncaring, unfeeling Empire?"
Silently, he sliced a section out of his crimson robe and tossed it to the crouched outlaw in the middle of his talk. Of course, she would know that burns were best treated by being covered, but not pressured. Though she was bleeding, the object now would be to keep her fluids as retained as they could, and the cloak was soft enough that it would do for such a covering. As much as she may have enjoyed her assumptions about him, he would not stand to be ordered around, not now. Still, he watched as Arin cared for her fallen comrade. Respectable...Most respectable....
"But you are correct, both of you are better off alive." We will not be moving, neither of us. Unless she can tell us where it is, of course. In the mean time, I have some minor supplies that will stave off the shock; electrolyte injections and bacta for longer missions like this one. I could stand to let you use them."
Once again in the middle of speech, so as to get a message across without wasting time, and without getting close, he slid the said supplies. Without much noise at all, three syringes with the electrolyte solution and two small bacta canisters with their own needles made their way to Arin's side. As much as he hated to admit it, as the ship swayed under the torrent of combat and crossfire, their missions were intertwined.

Colbs exited hyperspace and surveyed the scene. Although technically forbidden to engage without Republics consent he would anyways. There was Imperials to be had. Colbs was excited. He had quite ahistory with Imperials. He hated them. Utterly.
"Bray, get me a holofeed to tank five, tighbeam transmission to the flag ship."
Colbs deck officer nodded shouting orders to the ensigns below. Colbs focused his attention on the holotank. The Imperials and Outlaws were in the throes of a furious firefight.
"Tranasmission established sir."
Colbs slotted on his helmet and centered himself on the grid.
"Commander Kane, this is Lt. Colbs at your service, I have a venator and an Super Star Destroyer with three hundred gunships and nearly a thousand ARC-170s and V-wings combined. Give me a tactical readout and some instructions and I shall deploy my forces immediately."
Colbs stepped back as the feed died.
"Ready the fighters," he said turning to Bray, "We have Imperials to kill."

Re: MyrkrThe Gates of Hyllyard City Outside the walls of the city....
Tyriq and his units moved as fast as they could, the entrance that was open for them naturally took them under ground into the bows the city. Though it was reported that enemy units here located inside of the sewer systems, it was a risks he was will to take. With any luck, they would miss the forces sent to stop them from penetrating the city. The massive sounds of explosions still sounding off in the direction of the gate only hasten the movement of the section. The tree line provide a false sense of security as they move in plain sight of an sentry smart enough to just glance in the general direction. At this point, it really didn’t matter, all they needed to do was alert their forces at Imperial troopers where no their way to a known underground opening and set a trap, this plain was flawed from the very beginning.
As they neared the position, Tyriq order his men to get down and wait for the single from their supporters which informed Intel they would open the gate sealing the tunnel from the rest of the world. Everyone had their scopes circling in a 360 degree pattern, providing cover from every angle. Tyriq watched as a civilian ran from the entrance of the tunnel towards their position. His cross-hairs locked directly on the man not giving him a second to make a sound. The man quickly laid next to Tyriq and began looking around as well to make sure no one saw him enter the tree line.
“Lieutenant Calrissian?” The civilian question as he looked at the black painted force of the commando.
Tyriq just stared at him with those bright white eyes of his, his silence being all the assurance the young man needed.
“You're good to go, just be careful, from what we gathered, they are they last urban commandos in service, the rest where arrested or killed earlier today.” A smile came across the face of one of Tyriq’s men, he remembers the little operation they had earlier, so they all knew that back-up for these guys was defiantly not coming. “I’m out of here, good luck sir.” The civilian then moved deeper into the forest towards the dark more wooded section. Tyriq looked at his Sergeant Major and nodded for him to take the necessary action. The Sergeant Major turned towards the direction of the civilian took a silent shot, his body fell hit to the ground as Tyriq gave the order for them to move two-by-two towards the open tunnel. Underground fighting was something he could honestly say he was ready for. Best thing about it, enemy didn’t have anywhere to run. Tyriq himself was the last to make the sprint towards the tunnel as he and his team moved into the massive maze the was the underground sewer system.
Re: Myrkr
Kanes fleet had come under heavy fire, particularly INFERNO. The Vanguards shields however stood up to the attack. Before the shields could fail the now 8 ships were gone. As the ships dropped out of the microjump a comms came in from a completely unexpected source.
" Colbs?, You don't know how good it is to receive your help. I'll send enemy ship co ordinates to you, we've managed to take out three or four with similar loses, your firepower alone should turn the tide. I'm heading to the surface to ease the pressure asap, if you have ground forces then drop them at the co ords I'm sending you. Combined we can sandwich the Imp forces, over"
Kane moved off toward the docking bay as the small group of ships prepared to jump to a safe part of orbit to launch the troop ships and starfighters that would be used to attack the Imperial ground forces.

Re: Myrkr"... those should keep her steady until her compatriots below us deal with the jammer team... It's bound to happen soon. Then I will call for proper support from the fleet."
Arin winced slightly. That's right: wide-band jamming means no way to call for back up or medical help ... or even much of a way to tell the others to stop jamming. Didn't think of that.
Arin took one of the bacta cannisters, careful not to activate anything as she rolled out the manual that every piece of military equipment had. Given that she had no IV training, she chose to follow the Direct Apply instructions; gooping the sticky fluid right on the wound and covering it with a soft cloth. She then picked up the the electrolyte syringes, and sighed as she saw Alema's arms: tracks. The instructions would do Arin no good at all: Alema's veins were damaged - it would take an experienced medtech to handle such a situation without risking more harm than good.
Arin turned back to the trooper. As much as she hated the fact, she needed him now. "Now that we have this little understanding, I need your help. She needs fluids and sugars, and unfortunately she's been shot up too many times for anyone but an expert to give her an injection safely.
"This boat has to have a water cooler somewhere, and hopefully a galley. Juices and sugar water would be a start for now: no tea or milk until this blaster hit seals internally - that shouldn't take too long. We could also use some blankets to keep her warm and cushioned.
"Hang in there, you hear me?" Arin's fingers began running delicately along Alema's back and limbs, checking for anything that felt out of place. She hit hard, but she was still breathing and could speak - hopefully she sustained no skeletal injuries. If nothing was broken she could be shifted and get her legs elevated: useful for dealing with shock as soon as the Bacta sealed the blaster hit.

Re: MyrkrThe Gates of Hyllyard City Underneath the Hyllyard City streets....
The run-off from the city was enough sound cover than he expected. The loud rushing of the water covered their footsteps as the team moved swiftly through the wide, well lit sewers of the city. Tyriq would single his men every few steps to throw adhesive remote controlled explosives on potions that where marked as potential exits and artillery positions once the mission began. These tunnels looked very old, the layout showed they where in use years before the city was upgraded and seal off this section of the city. It made the perfect mobile access point for tactical vehicles on the move. Tyriq and company would soon make it to their second to last underpass. Above the stomping of mobile armor loosen the ground, tinkling dirt and dead roots onto of the team. Tyriq signaled for his team to line up the street above them for five meter with explosives. When these went off, it would cut the enemies supply line to the gate and make an effective hole in the ground.
As they placed the explosives, a noise in the direction they needed to travel was heard, sounded as if something was hit and falling. Everyone quickly trained their sights on the position Tyriq gave the signal for everyone to move out and sweep that direction. As they closed in on the position, his men saw what looked like steps to an old underground entrance, like a trasncart system of sorts. It lead up to a sealed section of the city was condemned for this very reason. Several large pieces of earth surrounded the steps as He singled for three men to scout the area.
The three Commandos ran from the rear with their weapons sweeping every inch of the area. Seconds later, massive amounts of weapons fire and explosives went off around both Tyriq and the three men who where instantaneously killed by the attack. “CONTACT AT FIVE CLICKS EAST!” Tyriq scream to his comms men as he took cover from oncoming fire. He looked over at the now dead Commandos and then leaned around to take several unaimed shots at what he was sure to be the urban spec ops. Several more men from the rear ran up and took positions as the firing increased. Tyriq singled for them to frag the entire area, they couldn’t provide suppressive fire because of their position, revealing themselves at anytime would more than likely result in them being shot. “Frag Out!” Tyriq command as five thermo detonators flew over their heads towards the dark areas of fire. The red dots flying through the air quickly caught the attention of the spec ops who dove for cover. The explosions rocked that section of the city, as more dirt and earth fell down. So much for this being a quite operation.
His raider company had begun assaulting the enemy troops. The battle was becoming fierce as the young commander manuevered himself and his sniper team into the city. The urban enviroment would give him more then ample cover to terminate their leader. If he manage to knock out their rank structure he just might force a retreat from the city.
He passed by an old cathedral and climbed into its bell tower. He could see enemy troops pinned down and they were flanked by him. While the allied force distracted them he would place calculated shots to eliminate as many officers and non-commisioned officers as possible. He sighted in giving the silent code for his sniper team to do the same. He pin pointed a few men and fired ending their lives. @#%$, wasted shots on low rankers.
He zoomed in again this time on a Lieutenant and squeezed his trigger.
Re: Myrkr
Colbs nodded. The coordinates masde their way to his holomap and he smiled. This was about to be fun. The ARC HAMMER I was definitely going to at laest put a dent into enemy forces.
"Sir enemy Victory class stardestroyers, 2 to our left."
Colbs nodded.
"Take us in, shield up at 100% Bring in ARC HAMMER II, warm up the DEMP cannon, I want all point defense sytytems activated. Target the bridg of those ships with our heavy turbolasers. Hold fire until my mark. Put two torpedoes in the tubes."
"Right away sir."
Colbs turned back to the holomap. Out side the battle raged. The deck vibrated under his feet as the huge engines of the Venator kicked on, bringing them in line with the Star Destroyer.
"DEMP cannon warm sir, 100% charge awaiting orders to fire..."
"Open fire."
The deck shuddered, A roiling ball of blue EMP roared towards the enemy ship. It struck the shields engulfing them in fiery blue light and overloading them.
Colbs watched with satisfaction as the cannon knocked out the shields. ARC HAMMER II moved into place and began popunding the enemy ship, the Captured Super Star Destroyer blowing away pieces of the armor with it 5000 plus weapons emplacements.
"New coordinates, fire on the one next to it."
"Yes sir."
The deck vibrated and the nosises got louder. Colbs turned to ARC-223, "Take your squad dwon with out turbo tanks and infantry. Do exactly as Kane asks."

A short time later Saede picked up the unmistable sound of the LAAT Savin had sent for them. While she didn't know it was Savin who had sent it at the moment, the colours gave the ship away, and she had to breath a sigh of relief. They were getting nowhere fast at this rate.
With a sharp hand signal, she motioned for everyone to board the shuttle, hoping up herself only after everyone else was aboard. Heading aft, she leaned over the comm station.
"This is Twenty-four, requesting updates." She wasn't certain if anyone was still listening or paying attention to their signals. She didn't know who was in trouble and who was not, where she was needed.
So going into the forest had, at the moment, been a poor choice. She'd own up to it later.
Re: Myrkr
The ships rattled somewhat as Commander Pol and her squadrons seemed to have their hands full trying to tackle TGU fighters that where proving most difficult to track, the jamming was having a effect on their targeting systems which is why the enemy ships where having a hard time both trying to escape and fire on her. Looking over at the operations center she motioned for their chief petty officer to come closer. With a hesitant stammer, he walked over to Sevina and waited for her to address him. “Why haven’t I received a up-to-date status report on the enemy fleet?” The Chief looked back at his station hoping his OIC would come over and help him out. “I…I don’t know Captain.” Just at that moment, Lieutenant Commander Vargas made his way over to Sevina and reported that the bulk of the enemy fleet was under heavy attack and would soon fall to the superior numbers of the naval forces.”
“What the status of our line?” She asked without looking at the officer. The Meridian was the command ship in this line and hence managing the defense of Third Fleets right flank, accompanied by another Star Destroy and two frigates, their task was simple. Hopefully, with any luck, they would be home in time for dinner. This battle was wearing her patience very thin. As the four ships engaged the diminishing enemy fleet, Sevina waved away her officers and continued to watch the bombs explode, the fighters pound each other away, and the Empire as a whole slowly advance to victory.

Re: Myrkr
There was a, comparatively, eriee silence filling the ship after what sounded like blaster fire a moment ago. Savin's heart seized when he heard the shot. Something in him just knew where the lethal bolt was headed.
And now, liquid nitrogen filled his veins as he could hear nothing else at all. He feared for the safety of his new friend. It angered him that she did not leave when she had a chance. It enraged him that there were Imperials on her ship trying to hurt her. He was livid that he had to get out of bed so early today.
A nimble leap brought the Mando'ad to the gaping hole on the underside of the Koahiko. He was worried about his comrades and surviving trainees. Was Saede alright? Did the LAAT get to them? The Rik and the other's make it out? How did his vode fair in the space battle? Where was Serrena? Was she in danger? Was Nate alright?
The Mando'ad began to lift himself into the hole, his massive arm baring the weight of himself and his armor with little effort. He was sick of his friends being in danger. He was sore. He didn't get any breakfast this morning. His underwear was riding up the crack of his sheb. His face itched under his mask. All of these things served to add fuel to the burning, pulsing rage that seemed to only get stronger and -deeper- as the Mando continued, further sharpening his focus to the razor's edge. It would be the focus that would come to save the Mando'ad's life.
A trio of shorts rang out from the edge of the clearing, all having the intent to shake the warrior loose of, both, the ship and the mortal coil.
It was pure chance that Savin was looking in the Guard's direction. It was focused reflexes that prompted him to push off the bottom of the ship to avoid being struck, allowing the three bolts to burn into the hull of the Koahiko, sending a shower of sparks from superheated metal to fallow the warrior's form to the ground. It was instinct that allowed him to roll upon hitting the forest floor, getting him to his feet and into a dead sprint, jinking from left to right in an erratic approach as he drew Adenn Kote. It was a combination of luck and skill that saw him avoiding the hail of blasterfire from the Crimson Guardsman's weapon as he quickly closed the distance. It was adrenaline-induced insanity that convinced him that igniting the four nozzles of his thruster pack to dash madly at the Guard was a good idea. It was excellence of execution that saw the red-cloaked warrior's head duck, seconds from being removed from his shoulders as the crimson-clad Mando'ad streaked past, using the incredibly nimble thrust vectoring capabilities of his boost pack to spin around in mid-air before sending a burst of thrust behind him to slow his motion and bring him back to the ground. And it was pure rage that fueled him as he broke into a dash, sprinting up to meet, blade-to-force pike, with the Guardsman in a shriek of metal.
The Guard had been the unlucky member of the group to have to lug all the comm equipment. The heavy pack had long since abandoned on the ground the moment the Mando'ad nearly took his frelling head off. This allowed him a bit more freedom to move as he clashed with this, obviously, crazy, Mando.
Savin fought like a man possessed, his strikes seeming to come out of nowhere. The tempo of the fight reached a fever pitch as the warrior unleashed a series of staccato blows, involving his entire body. A downward sword strike would be blocked only to lead into a spinning back elbow that, itself, would lead into a back spinning-heel kick with the opposite rotation to the Guard's helm, staggering him into a trio of poorly guarded horizontal blade strikes. The last of which put the Guardsman off-balance enough to allow the Mando'ad to slip inside his defenses and deliver to him a ruinous left knee to the Royal Guard's midsection. Savin would stomp his left foot back to the ground the instant after impact as part of a technique called, "Replanting the Wroshyr". Rooted once again, the Mando lead from this technique into an uppercutting palm strike that seemed to carry the force of the planet behind it, nearly lifting the Guard out of his boots. A strangled gurgle was all the Guardsman could manage to say as the cold, serrated, vibro-edge of Adenn Kote pierced his chest and rent a ragged hole in his right atrium, killing him nearly instantly.
The entire exchange took only 30 seconds.
Savin wasted little time in drawing his slugthrower and putting a few rounds into the unattended comm pack, thinking to disallow it's use if the jamming curtain was brought down in the near future. No need to allow the Imps the chance to call for backup. With a sudden his of static that burst through all the comm equipment in the area, it was soon apparent that the device he was destroyed was the jamming unit, itself.
"Osik!"
Savin thrummed his boosters to give him an accelerated start as he made his way back to the Koahiko in a dead sprint. If the comms channels where open again, then the remaining Imperials in the area would be calling for assistance anytime now. Time was running out...
