Glad that the location of the chairs made it so that Skelosh didn't have to face Ethan, the Sith master drew in a deep breath. Not a sigh to begin a tale of woe, or even to try to match Ethan's own tale. His crimson eyes focused on the white around him.

"I've been on Abregado-Rae. Since the Republic declared open season on the Sith, the planet has accepted me, starting with Senator Alvera. While the planet shows outward signs of Republic loyalty, they belong to whoever is paying the bills, and I know many Sith that will buy Electrum... their chief export. After Naboo I traveled to the Abyss to rescue Sky with Archean Fel, but that adventure didn't last very long. I don't have any heroic stories to tell you, Ethan. I wearied myself with takeovers long ago... I conquered worlds before most of the current knights were born. I served with the Brotherhood, which is all but forgotten. Conquering worlds is for the next generation."

An alarm beeped. Skelosh knew that it was time to exit hyperspace, they had arrived at Malachor V. "Strap yourselves in guys, we're coming out." Skelosh's voice went over the ship comm, letting his passengers know it was time to buckle their seat belts as it were.

As the bone white hand pulled back on the lever the white void was interrupted with pinpricks of black until the white was the specks and the black predominant. Another alert beeped, letting the Sith master know that there was a beacon. A Sith had been waiting for him. Honing in on the coordinates, Skelosh sent the Enemy towards the source. Only Sith had the frequency so Skelosh didn't worry about it being a Jedi trap.

Several minutes later the Enemy came to a landing on a cliff face. To some Sith the view of desolation would be beautiful, but it was off putting to Skelosh. The albino much preferred the jungles of Ziost or Yavin IV to the likes of Korriban or Malachor. Even the cursed Myrkr would be less unsettling. Through the viewport Skelosh saw a familiar A-Wing.

"Was Maize planning on joining?" Skelosh asked Ethan.

“I understand the importance of documentation, in fact I’ll insist upon it. Important detail can be lost if things are not dealt with properly. The meaning of documents and tomes can be changed if placement isn’t maintained. Real treasures can be lost if we don’t do this with care.” Declan found Shakti to be rather interesting. Most Sith had a great deal of lust, either for blood, power, or any number of other things. Shakti seemed to lack that particular trait. She was still determined and Declan could sense power and passion in full measure from her, it was rather invigorating, she was going to make an interesting partner in this expedition. At least with her around Declan wouldn’t have to worry about incompetence.

"Not that I knew of," Ethan said dubiously.

But, Skelosh was right; his father's A-Wing was definitely landed on the craggy land below. He reached into the Force to try and get a sense of his father's emotional state and purpose. Maize, though, seemed to have walled himself off just to keep Ethan on guard.

"I think he's mad," he added.

Once Light's Enemy had landed, Maize strode over to the Corellian freighter with his hands on his hips, a scowl on his face. The Sith Master waited at the ramp's location for the others to deboard.

A mad Sith master was never a good thing. A mad Wayne was even worse. At least it's not Kassandra, Skelosh thought to himself. Though he made sure that he shielded his thoughts from Maize. The albino unstrapped himself and stood up. After the ramp lowered, crimson eyes met Maize's glare. Ethan guess seemed to be correct.

"Maize, I didn't expect to see you here."

Being glib had never helped Skelosh with the Waynes, but he still always thought humor was worth a try.

Shakti nodded in acknowledgment to Declan. Perhaps he did know what he was doing after all, or at the very least he'd been successfully bullied into pretending he did. Either one would be good news. When it was time to touch down, Shakti strapped herself in as instructed and waited for her chance to set foot on Malachor V.

She was no empath, so she had no indication of Ethan and Skelosh's apprehension at Maize's presence. The overwhelming sense of the planet itself was clouding her senses. Shakti had always received stronger impressions from objects than people, and between Maize and a planet there was just no contest.

For f@#$'s sake, she thought. This is no better than Korriban. Out of the frying pan into the f@#$ing fire...

As a result of this, when Shakti followed Skelosh out of the ship and saw Maize standing on the defiled soil of Malachor, it came as a complete surprise followed by an immediate sense of swelling dread.

Oh, no. Her master seldom left his home and family unless something pressing had been called to his attention and he was never happy about it. "Maize," she began cautiously. "What's going on?"

"Why does everyone think there's some frakking crisis for me to be here anyway?" Maize snapped in reply to Skelosh and Shakti.

Then, he grinned. Lifting an eyebrow at his youngest son, and then nudging Ethan with the Force in an affectionate sort of way, Maize turned to Shakti directly.

"Here are the datacards you'll need just in case some random settler to this Force-forsaken world, or a crazed Mandalorian decide to contest our presence."
He handed the material to Shakti, entrusting the information to her care. Maize then glanced at Ethan. "Take the A-Wing and head to Corellia. 'lanna has news for you, son."

Finally, he looked back to Skelosh.

"Where've you been anyway?"

Shakti took the datacards and rubbed her thumb along their surface. Wrong. Something was wrong, even if Maize didn't seem like he was terribly upset.

New.

The cards were new, and that meant that Aurelia hadn't had them, and neither had Skelosh. Without thinking Shakti slapped her palm into her forehead. Paperwork hadn't been put through until now.

That was close. ENTIRELY too close. She popped the cards into her datapad and looked over them. It was a terse proposal, hastily written and barely more involved than a request for an interlibrary loan. If Maize had done this, he'd been rushed and he still might not have been fast enough. Shakti had no way of knowing whether things had gone through in time.

Hope was a feeling that didn't last long in a place like this. It was quickly drowning under a flood of anguish and shame, rage and disappointment. Malachor was swallowing it up.

This could be so bad.

Paperwork. Skelosh never did like the formalities associated with interplanetary travel. He seldom followed guidelines, not that it mattered with the Republic's current stance toward Sith. Then the albino thought how funny it was that another Wayne was dropping out of the expedition. Something very fishy was going on.

"As I told your son, Maize. I've been on Abregado-Rae since the whole debacle with the Republic and mining rights. Even though it is technically a Republic world, they've treated me well. Electrum has been a good business to be in. I'd just made it back to Korriban when I saw this little adventure and thought that I could use a vacation."

Skelosh walked towards Maize and lowered his voice slightly. He didn't want the others to overhear his concern. "Is there a reason that we seem to be playing musical Waynes on this expedition?"

Declan couldn’t help but get an uneasy feeling not once but twice a member of the Wayne family had come and traded places sending them off with word of ‘news’ and it didn’t sit well with him. This already was an unorthodox mission to be going on but this was becoming too much. Declan just wanted to get on with the digging, he wanted to uncover the secrets of the past, but it seemed like the secrets of the future where coming in the way.

Declan had heard of Maize Wayne, but had yet to meet the famed Sith Master. Meeting him in person made the inconvenience of the whole situation more tolerable. However a new and powerful uneasy feel was setting in as he received his identity card. Maybe it was the situation or the planet itself, but Declan’s survival instincts were kicking in. “Perhaps we should just get on with our task, I’m eager to find what any secrets that lay waiting for us here.” Declan tried to sound enthusiastic, but in reality he simply wanted to get this over with and return home.

Maize gave the unknown Sith a 'look', but then nodded. "Time is wasting. Let's move on."

The Sith Master had known what his daughter was about in following old Revan's trail to Malachor V. She was right in thinking that there would be very interesting artifacts on such a dead world. So, while Aurelia and Ethan both had failed in bringing the needed documention, at least he knew what Aurelia had had planned.

Maize fell in step with Skelosh as the party moved out. He debated on how much to say to Aurelia's former beau, considering what he knew of life back on Corellia.

"It was both nothing and something extraordinary, the circumstances that have pulled the kids out of this run,"
he said at last, quietly. Maize wouldn't have cared for Shakti to overhear, but he didn't really know the others. "Aurelia's... enterprise... had a small set back that she'd need to attend to, and Ethan had important news from his lifemate that superceded his continuing this quest."

~*Perhaps we should just get on with our task, I’m eager to find what any secrets that lay waiting for us here*~

The image of the Sith 'visitors' crackled once as the signal was readjusted to provide a clear, unmistakable image on the Mandalore's HUD. Images of a group of unknowns trapezing about the surface of Malachor V with obvious intent on picking about the ruins and decaying hulks of this world to 'find any secrets' they held. This dead world that amounted to burial mounds for the Mando'ade. Sacred burial mounds as far as the mandalore was concerned

<"Are you seeing this, Mandalore?">*

<"I am. Hold your position. We strike as soon as Marril and I get there. I will be dammed to haran before I allow graverobbery -here-, of all places. The rest of you, meet us at a position 2 kliks behind the outcropping where Heval if stationed. Set up camp and hang tight...this won't take long.">

With that, the Mand'alor simply waved his Second on this trip to follow him as he made ready to ignite his jetpack just before his scout made a rather important discovery.

"Mand'alor..ni ja'hailir majyce.." The image in the smart window on Savin's HUD zoomed in on a very unique cylinder that one of the intruders wore on his hip. A dark look crossed the Mando's visage at the discovery. "Val jorir Kad'au..."

The Mandalore stopped in his tracks. The invaders where either Jedi or.. "....Siit. Osikla Siit."

"Ke'gycese, Mand'alor?"

"....Pare sol, vod. Ni olaror o'r ca'nara..."

~*Aurelia's... enterprise... had a small set back that she'd need to attend to, and Ethan had important news from his lifemate that superceded his continuing this quest*~

Almost seemingly out of the mists themselves, a trio of Fully armored Mando'ade stepped into view from around a sharp craggy outcropping. There was no way the masters in the party would have missed the approach of the D'xun-born warrior as his anger would have sounded his arrival in the force like a trumpet. A rage that strummed like a second heartbeat.

"I am Mand'alor be te Beskar'Marev...and -you- are trespassing on sacred ground....I trust there is a reason you would set foot on Malachor unannounced." There was a rumbling quality to the Mandalore's voice that made it almost seem as a growl...

Shakti glanced uneasily toward Declan. Short of Maize, Declan was the only one here to whom she'd spoken even casually, and he looked like he was also making a point to keep an eye on their surroundings. Shakti wasn't the only one who didn't like this. There'd been too much instability in their plans, and they'd been too close to making

Shakti bent down to crouch on the ground. She let the others pass her by, willing to risk needing to catch up. She pulled one thin leather glove from her hand, revealing skin twisted and ruined by burn scars. With a grimace she drove her fingers down into the dirt, hoping to get a clearer image of just what this planet was trying to batter into her mind.

It was the difference between seeing and tasting, the sudden intimacy of the sensation soaking straight through her skin into her blood. A little thrill ran through up her nerves and suddenly Shakti was reminded of the blood-soaked stone floor of the dungeon where she'd been held in her youth. The walls there had hated her, the floor remembered every shriek, howl, and hysterical plea ever uttered within their bounds. The sensation hit her with such twisting suddenness she reached up quickly to cover her mouth with her still-gloved free hand. Closing her eyes, she tried to keep herself from retching even as some monstrous part of her greedily gobbled up the filth and the agony.

After a few tense seconds the hostility and pain curdled into... mockery. Oh, I don't like that, Shakti thought. What do you know, you thrice-damned evil rock? What do you know that we don't?

Maybe it was nothing. Just residual tension here between two opposing armies bent on one another's obliteration. Residual hate.

Then why did she feel like it was directed at her? Why did it feel so personal? What could possibly be coming?

She stood, momentarily dizzy with relief when her fingers broke contact with the dirt as she rose to her feet. She'd learned... something. She just didn't know what. Shakti noted with frustration that she probably wouldn't know just what it had been until it was far too late to be of any use.

Sometimes I don't know why the Force tells me things at all if I can't do anything about it, she thought bitterly. She jogged several paces to catch up to the others and quipped to Declan, "There may be interesting things here, but this place sucks."

And then there were Mandalorians. Angry Mandalorians.

".....f@#$," Shakti muttered.

But at least it answers my first question, Shakti couldn't help but note. Too sacred to inhabit, not too profane. Shakti's capacity to amuse herself with curious odd details apparently knew no bounds, even at a time like this.

She stepped forward from the others and opened her mouth to speak, then halted. Her height gave her some advantage when she needed to take the fore, but she was still a skinny and bookish young woman trying to initiate diplomatic conversation between two very very violent cultures. Impressions meant a lot, and Shakti unfortunately had little control over the one she made today.

"We're here unannounced..." She winced and shrugged. "...honestly through bad planning more than anything else. For that I apologize." She popped the card out of her datapad and held it up in two gloved fingers at shoulder height so that her hand would catch their notice. "My name is Shakti. This is a datacard with a copy of the proposal we... apparently didn't get to you in time."

Shakti would ordinarily have been honored by a chance to speak not just with a member of the culture she was here to study but with one who counted himself their leader and it was inconvenient as hell that it had to be like this.

"I guess all I can say is never attribute to malice what you can blame on negligence. This shouldn't have been an unannounced visit."

As the young woman strode to the fore of her group the rightmost Mandolorian mad motion to step forward himself, his hand on his blaster. At this, the Mandalore rose a hand to stop him without needing to even look in his direction.

"Udesii, Marril." The Mando relaxed insomuch that he was no longer an eyeblink from opening fire on the lot of them. Instead, he was mere heartbeats away from the act.

The obsidian-hued visor of the Mandalore followed the young Sith as she addressed him.

~*We're here unannounced....honestly through bad planning more than anything else. For that I apologize*~

There was a -slight- tilt to his head at that. What he expected her to say, he was unsure. But, it was certain he was not expecting an apology.

~*My name is Shakti*~

:::Hmmh..Shahk-Tee...a strong name:::

~*This is a datacard with a copy of the proposal we...apparently didn't get to you in time*~

"...No..you didn't, indeed." The Imposing frame of the Mand'alor stepped forward, closing the distance between the two as he reached out and took the card that she offered. He glanced over it a moment before he handed it back to her, turning his left wrist over to flip open and access a small keypad on the bottom of his left bracer. A few key strokes later he closed it and leveled his jet visors gaze to this 'Shahk-Tee'.

~*I guess all I can say is never attribute to malice what you can blame on negligence. This shouldn't have been an unannounced visit*~

"No...it should -not- have. I have the request. It was sent to me...three minutes ago..and is -waiting- for my approval."

He stood there a moment looking over the Sith party before returning his attention to their party leader.

"Lady Shahk-Tee, dha dala be te Siit...why do you come to Malachor?"

Shakti sighed a little, more irritated by the circumstances than chastened. This shouldn't have been such a mess. "Well, I wasn't the one who put this whole thing together, but I for one came because I've got a lot of questions about the history of this place, its relevance in Mandalorian culture..." She made a few vague sweeping gestures with one hand. It was always difficult to explain why she took an interest in other cultures, particularly to the people in question. She always got the feeling she was putting them under a magnifying lens and that they knew it.

Nothing to do but stride forward into the conversation. Bravado was occasionally top of Shakti's list of social approaches, and a little here wouldn't hurt too much. "...enough questions that it's hard to pick a place to start researching. A good place to start is theoretically to learn more about their history. Specifically, their history as they understand it. Gives an idea for the context they're coming from, so that when you talk to one..." Shakti traced an invisible line between herself and Savin with a little flick of her fingertips. "...it won't be incredibly awkward. Like this is."

Another sigh. "Though that, again, is because we got sloppy due to some minor chaos at the onset of this expedition that honestly probably is not all that important to you. I suspect what's important to you is why the hell we're on a planet of deep cultural relevance to you without so much as a 'hey do you mind.' So to answer that..."

"It doesn't sound right to say that we came because we were curious, but I don't know what else to call the fact that I was interested in learning about someone else's history and culture." She shrugged. "I can't offer you a much better explanation of my motives than that. S'about all there is."

"Chakaare an.."

The Mando to the right of the Mandalore spoke before Savin could respond to Shakti's answer. Although he spoke in his native tounge, the -spirit- of his words rang though the bitter, angered tone his voice carried.

"Siitse olaror runi chakur cuun ruyot!"

"Udesii, Marril."

"Mand'alor! Siitse hibir bal hibir bal te Mando'ade parjir naas!" There was -no- mistaking who he was talking about when he began to gesture, strongly, at the Sith in question.

"Luubid, Marril." With that, the Mandalore turned to face his fellow warrior, walking up to him.

"Mand'alor.."

"Udesii, ner vod. Mando'ade bal Siit ganar tom tome. Vi ijaat ibac, suvarir?"

The warrior known to his people as Marril, only looked away with a sigh. ".....Elek, Mand'alor.."

Savin clasped a hand on his shoulder and spoke in a much softer, friendlier tone. "Ni ruusaanyc, 'lek?"

" *Sigh* 'Lek....I still don't like it.." Said he, suddenly speaking in basic.

Savin patted his fellow's shoulder before turning, again to face Darth Shakti, flipping open his bracer keypad and tapping on it before speaking.

"You will remain within line of sight of each other, and of -us-. You will have a Mando'ad escort at -all times-. You will disturb little and take -nothing-. The Mando'ade have bought and paid for this world with a debt of blood you can -never- repay. There will be no graverobbing on this world. The souls here have suffered enough betrayal. Am I made clear?" For as forceful as he -could- have sounded when He delivered his litany of stipulations, his voice remained even and cordial.

Shakti tallied the conditions in her head quickly. First, the Sith needed to stay together. No one wandering off and making an ass of himself. Good idea for everyone involved. Secondly, don't steal things. Fair. Not his fault he has no idea what sort of scholar I am. It's not like he's had an opportunity to learn before now. And the Mandalorian escort.... Shakti had to hold back a smile.

She'd been prepared to come to a largely-uninhabited world with no information to offer her beyond the stones of abandoned structures and sand blowing across ruined battlefields. However she'd come to it, Shakti had found something better. Shakti had found escorts. Guides.

Of course they might eventually try to kill her, but that was a problem worth dealing with when it came.

She looked back over her shoulder to the others, daring them to disagree with her. "You're clear, Mandalore. You'll get no disagreement with me on those terms, and as far as I'm concerned no Sith here has the right to complain about them, either."

In truth, if any gross desecration took place from Shakti's allies, the Mandalorians wouldn't even have time to strike. Shakti would get there first. This was her professional integrity on the line, her shot at making a connection with a culture whose reputation preceded it by lightyears.

They would not screw this up for her.

"We'll learn what you have to teach, no more and no less, and we won't mess with anything we find here."

This could be so cool, she thought despite the tension and solemnity. This could be so f@#$ing keen I can't even stand it. I just have to work it right...

Though he'd given the datacards to Shakti's keeping, Maize couldn't help but wonder what made her think it was her responsibility to forge out a truce, or cease-fire or Mando-roast or whatever she was doing with the Mandalore? Darkness swelled and rippled around the irritated Sith Master at the situation.

Just who do they think they are, ragtag band of inbred warriors? Maize thought to himself. And who does Shakti think she is to just run this herself?

"Usstan xuat l'amith lil ul'hyrr de'kyorle." Skelosh made the comment to Maize whom he knew would understand. When the Regnum was in power both of the masters had been instructed in the language of the Horsemen. The albino had never liked using it, but he also didn't want the Mandos overhearing the conversation. Skelosh felt the irritation that Maize radiated. However, now was not the time to upset the balance that was settling. More like we're being taken prisoner, Skelosh thought.

Crimson eyes glared at the Mando that had talked angrily with the leader. He would be a problem before the trip was over. Skelosh was certain of that. Skelosh considered asking the locals to show them to the footsteps of Revan, but knew that their "hosts" would most likely take offense to the idea.

Skelosh started walking in the direction they were facing before their friends showed up, making sure that the escort kept him well in sight.

Keeping quiet Declan stayed to the back of the group. His instincts told him that these Mandalorians were not to be trusted. The planet may have been in their care for a short time, but this planet was a true home of the Darkside. It was the inheritance of those that wielded the Darkside, Mondo blood spilt here was nothing more than a testimony to the Darkside, not a purchased right to dictate matters. However the course of wisdom dictated following their rather irritating demands, for now. Besides if Declan wanted to slip away, no one would be able to find him anyway.

Declan’s purpose for being here wasn’t grave robbing anyway. He sought Sith knowledge and possibly the old academy of the Sith. He had little interest in these Mandalorians or anything their kind left behind. They were nothing more than the leftovers of a long dead race. Their only redeemable quality was their ability to survive.

For now Declan would remain quiet and in the background, watching and waiting.

Shakti took a deep breath and let it out slowly. They were still in a precarious position, but at least she'd done some damage control. It would have been nice to have any kind of assent or support from her allies, but they were either trying not to interfere, or they were being sullen and she'd get an earful later.

Fine, she thought. They'll see. Tired of letting other people handle this crap anyway. People have no idea what they're doing. Shakti chose not to acknowledge that most Sith had no reason for qualities like cultural sensitivity. Half the time all they understood was kill or be killed, and so far she had little indication that most of these Sith were much different. At least Maize was verifiably not a dumbass; that was important and greatly encouraging. If nothing else it meant the others would be less likely to do anything painfully stupid. Perhaps the wrath of a Sith master would be more daunting than the vocal annoyance of his former apprentice.

The pale stranger who'd flown them here headed off, apparently eager to get the negotiations done with and move on. Probably a good idea. No need to stand around kicking the dirt like chastised children. Shakti had given the Mandalorians back their sense of control over the situation, which was always a good thing when it came to convincing them not to shoot her or her allies.

As her party began to move on, she paused for a moment, watching the Mandalorians. She felt caught between the two groups, and it wasn't a comfortable impression. It wasn't that she wanted to be the messenger to the Mando contingent, but Shakti wasn't exactly sure she trusted anyone else to do it, either. Finally the pull of her fellow Sith was stronger and she turned away to let the Mandalorians follow on their own, escorting their Sith "guests" in whatever way seemed best to them.

Her hand floated down close to the pocket where her lightsaber rested. This was the Mandalorians' opportunity to shoot them all and be done with it, though Shakti suspected they'd have more trouble than they thought. She and Declan and the other lower-ranking Sith might be killed in such a battle, but Maize and Skelosh would probably be fine. I don't know why I expected that to be comforting, she thought.

Seemed like someone ought to say something, but there wasn't anything to say. The rhythm of small talk had been broken by the Mando'ade, and to Shakti's annoyance there was some sense of shyness now from her fellows. Cripes. You're Sith. Why are you being so timid just because a few angry men with guns are following us?

At the same time, Shakti couldn't think of much to talk about, either. "Anyway," she said quietly to Declan. "We were talking about documentation. I can get images and even audio on my datapad, but I don't want to keep it all in one place. Something might happen to me and it'd really suck if that meant we lost everything I was carrying, y'know what I mean?"

Declan was keeping a close eye on these lowly Mondos that were following them around when Shakti broke his concentration. She was right though, they needed to stay focused on business, there escort was of little consequences anyway. “We could link our datapads together and with the ships computer. That way we have a triple backup of everything we both do.”

Declan pulled out his datapad and began to create the bridge that was needed to keep the information backup. First he created the link to the ships computer, setting it to up to backup all information on his datapad and that of Shikti’s. Then he created the bridge to Shakti’s datapad. “That should do it, we should now have a sufficient backup on anything information we manage to collect.”

Less than a click off, Skelosh found the first sign of ruins. As much as the darkside pulsed through the place, Skelosh could scarcely believe that any form of sentient life survived long enough on the world to create a civilization. Especially non-Force users. Even though Skelosh made sure not to touch anything that he could avoid, it was obvious that he did so vesiciously.

The younger Sith seemed to be chatty to Skelosh. He remembered the days he acted that way. The wonder of worlds. The albino Sith master thought of Bane, Janus, Rain, and Mortok. How they traveled planet to planet doing as they liked. Anhk wouldn't have allowed them to accept an escort from Mandos. But Anhk had been dead more years than Skelosh could remember. Darth Anhaga had been through much since then. He paused momentarily and bowed his head to his fallen brothers.

Composing himself, Skelosh began to explore the ruins more. But with less malice in his heart. The Sith that had once been wrath incarnte mastered his anger. If the Mandos still wanted a fight later he'd be up for it. But he'd stay peaceful for now.

Sighing in disgust, Maize separated himself from their little party and from the Mandalorians. It seemed everyone had clammed up now and what enthusiasm for the expedition had evaporated.

@#%$ them if they mess this up, he thought sourly.

<"Almost wish you where back on Myrkr, eh Mandalore?">*

The shorter of the trio glanced up to the crimson-clad warrior to his right as he spoke.

<"Then, you could just chuck a ysalamiri at them and be done with it. If only -all- our problems where that simply delt with, eh?">

<"Hrmh...I -still- say we either boot them off-world or make certain we hide the bodies. These grave-robbing cowards don't deserve your mercy, Mandalore.">

The D'xun-born warrior simply continued to walk, allowing his men to continue to get their vehement out of their systems. Even if they did not bother to turn off their external mikes. His attention, on the other hand, was squarely on this 'Shahk-Tee.'

As she was the leader of this group, whatever she did would dictate what the rest of them did. She seemed on edge before she started talking to one of her fellows, when she started to relax a bit. If she was uptight, it was a safe bet that the rest of her party would be wound up as well. Something to keep in mind and take under serious consideration in the dealing with these Siit.

<"Maybe not...but they are our allies. As such, until they prove otherwise, they -do- deserve respect. Am I made clear?"> Said he without missing a beat.

<".....If you say so, Mandalore. But, I -still- don't like it.">

<"You don't like anything, Marril."> Responded the warrior in a much more mirthful voice. Siit or no, he was not about to let these inconsiderate, pretentious, kad'au-waving, miscreants keep him from enjoying his time here and getting back in touch with his culture as he meant to when he started taking pilgrimages to this barren rock. Although, this Shahk-Tee seemed to have a decent head on her shoulders.

<"I like your father's chili."> There was a pause that lasted for a full second before...

*Snnniker*
"HAH! hahaha!"
"heh heh"

This laughter was cut short at the sight of the Elder Wyane pulling away from the main group.

"Heval.." A simple gesture of a pair of fingers pointing to where the Mand'alor's eyes would be. "..taylir gar sur'haaise bat kaysh, suvarir?"

A nod was all he needed to know that Hevel would do the job as the shorter Mando'ade fell beck from the group to seemingly fade into the background with so smooth a transition as to make one wonder if he had ever been there at all.

The reaming pair of Mando's continued on as if nothing at all was amiss.

"....Meg ni rejorhaa'ir gar." breathed the shorter of the pair with a slight bit of exasperation. "Naasade vurel sushi-.."

"Ne'johaa, Merril..." Replied the crimson-clad warrior. He -hated- it when he rubbed it in.

Merril simply shrugged as they continued. "Shi sirbur'ir.."

With a grateful nod to Declan for the arrangements he'd made, Shakti doublechecked to make sure that her data was shared. Declan was more interested in the Sith history here, and could probably be trusted to be reasonably thorough about it. That left Shakti free to explore another opportunity.

She followed Skelosh along a wall of stone that, while blasted by ancient weaponry and years of harsh weather, still bore the occasional symbol or decorative text. It didn't look like what Shakti had stored of the Sith alphabet, which left only one explanation. Someone else had carved it there.

It could have meant anything. It could have been propaganda, religious devotional engravings, or graffiti marking this area as one guy's favorite make-out spot. No way to know. She pulled out her datapad, briefly glancing over at Maize for some clue as to what the hell his problem was. As interested as she ordinarily was in his opinion, Shakti was confident that she'd done the right thing by presuming to speak with the Mandalore on her own. She had no guarantee that anyone else here had as much experience studying (as opposed to slaughtering) other cultures as she did, and she'd had quite enough of the chaos caused by letting anyone else handle her area of expertise.

She pulled her stylus from her pocket and began drawing into her notes the symbols on the wall. She resisted the urge to ask one of the Mandalorians what was written in front of her, since they seemed occupied in some discussion amongst themselves.
