Soft lips fused together gently in hesitation, fading so that Jacelyn could bring out a feverish sigh in replacement. Her dark orbs were fixated upon Tiara; nothing but everlasting devotion could be sculptured in her iris. Loving eyes wandered from their partner to the couple's lavish, purple and blue velvet, lace guest couch; a couch that Jacelyn happened to love. Jacelyn took a seat on the couch's middle, grasping the fluffy, cushioned pillow that had been where Verdon now sat. She held the material close to her, wrapping her arms about the bolster in comfort.

"Help me to understand what possessed you to give Prime to me."

Jacelyn, finding herself somewhat frustrated, thrust the cushion aside; it toppled from the couch, onto the floor where it came to lie at Jacelyn's feet. She took another anxious breath while her fingers came to comb through her long dark hair. When she had spoken previously, Jacelyn had not the strength to look up at Tiara. She did, however, look up now, her eyes full of suffering. Her hands fell to her lap, interlocking.

"My heart, my soul, my mind, along with my eyes were all about you. You were perfect to me, you still are. You are as irresistible now as the day that I first met you."

Jacelyn became silent suddenly, her chocolate eyes falling to the wide view window just at the foot of the parlor.

"I did not want Prime until you gave her to me. That's the only reason I wanted her, because you offered her to me. I let her go only because you asked me to choose. The truth is, I never wanted to let her go. I tried to treat her as a toy, but I couldn't. I still can't. She's just not something to be played with! She has feelings, just like you and I do!"

Unable to keep her emotions from boiling over, Jacelyn sharply stood up from her place upon the couch and began to pace excitedly back and forth in front of it.

"I hurt her when I let her go! She's never said so, but I can look at her and see it! A woman filled with the idea that she's not enough; second best to you! Perhaps, when I let her go, just perhaps, I made her feel ugly! Yet she is beautiful! She is beautiful inwardly and out!"

Abruptly, Jacelyn ceased her paces, shifting to an about-face so that she could face and look at Tiara again. Dark orbs were as bright as fire, at least as much as they could be for brown eyes.

"It was not my desire to make her feel that way when I let her go! I tried to choose my words carefully! I tried! It was also never my desire to neglect you or to make you feel neglected!"

In a mood full of hopelessness, Jacelyn sunk passionately back onto the couch. Her mood was somber now.

"Somewhere, somehow.. I fell in love with Prime. I do not desire to be in love with her, and yet I am. I cannot make my feelings for her - I can't just make them disappear!"

Eyes full of sorrow looked up at Tiara, not knowing what to do.

"I belong to you, that's the way that I've always wanted it. That's the way that I thought we would always be. I can no longer let you or Prime go, but I know I must. I know that I must because I do not wish to do anything that I would not want you doing, beloved. I don't want you to be with anyone else but me. I don't wish to share you with anyone else, I cannot. Yet I would if it made you happy. I feel the exact same way about Prime. Yet we've come to the here and now, and I cannot undo what has been done. I cannot fall out of love with Prime, no matter what she does or will do. I love you both, when all I really wanted was to love you and only you, Tiara, as my lover. Now my heart is stuck in two places, with the lingering threat of losing you both because I'm selfish. You ask me what I want, beloved, and I don't know what to tell you. My heart wants you both, but my mind tells me that I may only have one of you. You asked me to choose and I want to respect your wishes and I can and will be able to, at least until the moment Prime decides differently of me. If she decides she wants something more of me or ... not."

She was willing and able to suffer, if only now because she couldn't read Prime; she didn't know what her apprentice wanted from her. She didn't truly know what was in Ishta's heart because she'd never once been so clear and so detailed to Jacelyn. So Verdon had no idea how Prime really felt about her. Though Jacelyn had never once clearly asked Prime, though she'd tried.

Things were difficult, Prime knew so very little of what Tiara knew. Prime didn't know that Tiara had asked her to make a choice, she didn't know why or how Jacelyn made her choice, only that in making her choice, Jacelyn had hurt her. This was all that Ishta Prime knew. That, and that Jacelyn loved her.

"I cannot change the way I feel beloved. I'm sorry, especially if the truth hurts you. I never meant nor wanted for things to be this way. I never wanted to hurt anyone."

Tiara nested next to Jacelyn and held her close; feeling deeply guilty and pleased all at once. She had caused all of this, and she never meant to hurt Jacelyn or Prime in the process. Still - the fact that she was in control then and in control now meant everything to her. It allowed her the freedom to love Jacelyn and Prime with her whole heart, and to feel their love at the same time. It also allowed her the freedom to be gentle.

"I'm sorry, my love. I gave you Prime because I thought she would please you; she was meant to be for your pleasure. You're right: she does have feelings, but you don't understand them. Prime wishes to live her life free from the ravages of self-determination. Tell her what to do, and she does it. Tell her where to go, and she will go there. All she wants is for her life to be an easy path from one task to the next: no choices, no decisions, no problems.

"I know that you love Prime deeply, and it doesn't hurt me at all. You can show her that without compromise, living just as you've described. Tell her what to do: don't ask and don't leave the choice to her - she doesn't want it. Prime adores you, and just wants to do what will make you happy. If you tell her how things are to be, she will be happy.

"I am yours and yours alone. I don't expect that of you, but it's heartwarming that you wish to give me the same. If that is what you want, then be that way and be happy about it. You've only hurt others because of indecision: we're all here trying to please you."

Tiara then urged Jacelyn to sit up, tipping her chin so that she was upright and appeared proud. She offered her beloved a wide smile and a slight wink. "So: the galaxy is yours - all shall be as you wish it to be. Declare your wishes and let it always be so!"

Jacelyn wasn't exactly zealously inspired by Tiara's response, though she wanted to be. Nothing about the experience was as simple as Jacelyn wished. It all could be so lucid; she knew it could be. Both Tiara and Prime had shown her that it could be. Grasping the intellect to discover how Prime operated was no more helpful to Jacelyn now than it was moments ago. Her heart now hid away fear. If Prime so chose to operate in the manner that Tiara easily described to her — her apprentice would very easily find herself stepped upon! Used and abused! This wasn’t something Jacelyn wanted for Prime. Jacelyn would have to do something about it when her mind was absolutely concrete on a decision. She would need time to think things over, but for now — for now, Jacelyn just wanted simplicity.

With her head now held up, Jacelyn angled her head so as to observe her lover. Tiara’s tenderness and embrace did wonders to ease Jacelyn’s nerves. Her touch and her hold made Jacelyn feel free and perfect, without a care to be had.

"You've no idea how very much your presence warms me, Tiara. It is by far, one of the most precious of gifts that I have ever been blessed with. I do not know what you see in me, for I’ve never been able to see inside myself quite so well, but I hope that I make you happy. I do not know how to hang onto what I want most and it tends to slip away before I even realize that it’s gone. I do know that I am capable of being good enough for you and I know that I am. It’s fear of intrusion that keeps me cautious, beloved. You, Ishta, and Prime, you are all a part of what is my home, and I do not wish to see it disturbed. It is a world that belongs to me, as you’ve said, I don’t wish to see it infringed. If such should happen, well, it would cause my heart, my mind and spirit, much disorder. I must protect my family. It’s my foundation, my source of strength. It is my everything.”

Somewhere in the midst of her words, Jacelyn tilted her head upright again and reached out to grasp Tiara’s hands lightly within hers.

“I do not know yet what it is I should do about what’s troubling me. Even still, I’m not as troubled by it as I was before. I can only concern myself, as of this moment, with what is before me .. And that’s you, my love.”

Jacelyn slowly pulled Tiara’s hands up and forward until they reached her face. She kissed each hand gently, caressing Tiara’s fingers appreciatively with her own hands.

“What I want now, right now, is to pamper my beloved. To spoil her in ways that she longs to be spoiled. It’s been some time since I’ve bathed you, beloved. Will you let me now?”

Whatever was left of the night, Jacelyn wanted it to belong to Tiara.

Alema opened her mouth to protest Serrena's implication that she might be too busy with Savin to contact her friend until tomorrow. Briefly her lips formed a hard disapproving line as Serrena left to make her way back to her hotel for the evening.

I guess having her pass out safe in her room is better than anywhere else she might be doing it, whether it be in public or some charming stranger's bed.

Speaking of strangers, after Jon's hasty farewell Alema was left by herself at her table. She looked down at the remnants of the dinner she and Serrena had eaten, and couldn't help but feel that the evening seemed to be ending.

Like hell it is, she thought, turning to the younger man who'd been waiting for her to return to him. This evening isn't done until I decide that it is.

Alema walked a straight and unwavering line past tables, couples dancing, and groups of chatting guests, finally slipping to the edge of the crowd near Savin. The Twi'lek circled his table, taking her time to reach him now that she'd come back. At this point it didn't matter if he was using the extra time to size her up. She had every right to do the same. Alema had come with a good-looking, well-built younger man. A man who'd assured her he would start treating her differently than he treated the girls he played with. That made all the difference, and for the first time since they'd walked in the door, Alema felt comfortable enjoying Savin's company. She didn't want to deal with doubting and questioning... testing, attracting and punishing him. She just wanted to relax.

She laid her purse on the tablecloth next to the Mandalorian's hand and quietly laughed at herself. She was actually momentarily embarassed by her own forwardness now that she wasn't simply stringing him along. It was... different. And it was a risk. But maybe it would be worth it.

"Hey," she said quietly. "I came back."

"How long are you going to be here?"

The well-built Rodian's voice was alot less squirrelly than many in her species. It was clear that she had spent a -long- time getting her basic -just right-. Her dark-haired friend, obviously one with 'benefits' judging by the way she was draped over the seated Rodian's shoulders, continued to look at Savin with one of the most gorgeous pairs of hazel-hued, 'bedroom' eyes the D'xun-bred warrior had ever seen. As the Rodian distracted his mind with words, her friend continued to gaze at him, wordlessly. It was a great ploy -if- the Mando'ad wasn't already receptive to their advances.

"I'm not sure. What, did you have something in mind, cyar'ika?" The Mando leaned a bit forward in his chair. The Rodian's lips curled upwards slightly. They had him. The warrior, himself had turned his chair to face them completely, turning his back to Alema and the odd man that came over to her.

"This party isn't very entertaining anymore. Maybe we could head to our room? My friend and I would like to hear more of your..'stories'."
The Rodian -slowly- dragged a single finger over her friend's cheek, never breaking eye contact with the Mando'ad. Savin on the other hand had been subtly glancing over her shoulder to watch a lutian Twi'lek walk away from her table. He smirked a bit thinking he couldn't have planned it -any- better.

"Well, girls.." Said he, leaning back in his chair projecting his voice a bit as the, ofttimes, boisterous Mando'ad was like to do. "I much as enjoyed talking with you, I don't think I'll be leaving the party anytime soon. And I'm sorry if I gave you all the wrong impression, but I plan to stay here as long as my date wants to." He was careful to keep his tone even as he spoke. He didn't want to seem like he was laying it on too thick. Mostly the reason he left our that 'beautiful date' part. No matter -how- true it was.

"Maybe another time, eh?"

The woman of raven-hued hair pouted a bit as the Rodian shot a look directly at Alema as she walked up, in time to hear a vast majority of the conversation in her approach.

"Yes...-another time-." Said the Rodian, her voice filled with ice and a hint of venom at being turned down for such a, in her opinion, 'plain-looking Twi'lek bimbo'. She stood and turned to disappear into the crowd. If he was too stupid to see that he could have had -twice- the fun then he can have the little, flat-chested, blue bi*tch. Frelling Twi'leks. What's so special about them -anyway-? She folded her arms as she went to go find a man with a hint of common sense and alot better -taste-.
The dark-haired woman simply looked back to wave, both at Savin and Alema standing behind him, offering her a wink and a silent proposition hidden in a glance. Either the girl had too much to drink or she was as bad as the D'xun-bred warrior. Maybe both.

His grey gaze turned to follow the raven-haired girl's gaze to the vision of cerulean beauty making her approach. He looked genuinely surprised. He had no idea she was -that- close already. Seems those mirrors he had been watching to warn him of her approach didn't convey distance very well. It didn't help that she was circling the table. But, he was glad that she did.

She looked so frelling ori kandosii in that dress.

~*Hey, I came back*~

"Hey.." Retorted he with a smile. "I'm still here.."

Tiara said nothing to Jacelyn's request, but rather simply smiled and wrapped her fingers about her lover's. She began leading her into the back, where a separate lounge awaited them with all the pleasantries that the finest accomidations could offer. It would be good to relax for a few hours and indulge themselves. Prime would be home late - or early, depending. When she returned she would probably need the councel of her family; it would be best if they were all at ease.

As they moved by Ishta's room, Tiara noted that the door was slightly open. She paused at the entry and looked downward with a smile. "I told you everything would be all right, Precious - now off to bed: now!"

The sound of a giggle and scampering feet answered Tiara's insistance. Satisfied that her daughter was finally put at ease she continued down the walkway, taking Jacelyn's hands and setting them on her shoulders so that she could begin one of her delightful massages. They had a few hours before Prime would come home - she had far too much to sort out to be home any sooner.

Bolstered by Savin's dismissal of his little harem, she took her hand away from her purse... trailed her fingers across the tablecloth... and then held her hand out to him, palm up.

Let them sit and writhe, Alema thought. He came here with me and he isn't going to forget it again.

Her lips curled in a smile Savin was probably better accustomed to seeing from Serrena than the Revenge's uptight comms officer.

"So you said that I could have a dance. If I wanted." Her smile became a little more playful. It was entirely possible she couldn't quite take herself seriously as a smoldering seductress. "Your offer still open?"

~*So you said that I could have a dance. If I wanted.*~

:::If that's -all- you wanted, mesh'la. All you'd have to do is ask....:::

The younger, D'xun-born Mando's smile faded a bit as he found himself staring intently into a pair of soft brown eyes that held the lights of the ballroom -just- so. The smile she wore on her face was..well..it was wow, is what it was.

~*Your offer still open?*~

It took the younger man a full second to respond after blinking his eyes to snap out of it. Whatever 'it' was, was a question that would have to remain unanswered for the time being. So off-balance was he that he couldn't even come up with something witty and sufficiently lewd to respond with.

"'Lek. It's still open.." He took her hand and stood, attempting to reestablish his cool demeanor, hoping that it wasn't too obvious how far she threw him off.

Why oh why did she have to look so shabla -kandosii- in that dress?

"There you go. Smile like that can stop a man in his tracks if he isn't ready for it. Always let your master know when he's done something good. Reward him with what he likes to see, and he'll think he's training you instead."

"What about if he doesn't?"

"Well, then you need to be more careful. You can't always tell what they'll do or how they'll react if you assert yourself, but you'll learn. Sometimes they learn better from rewards, and some will give you enough leeway to punish them. Just be sure you don't ever let him get comfortable."

"Why? Shouldn't I want things to be comfortable?"

"No. If he gets to know your patterns too well, he'll get used to you. Every now and again you should surprise him when he thinks he's got it all figured out. You'll stay on his mind then."

"Should I surprise him with something bad or something good?"

Against her better judgment Alema let her fingers curl around Savin's as he led her out to the dance floor. He stopped and she took one more step to bring herself around to face him. The trained Twi'lek was momentarily surprised by how quickly and naturally her date fell into his frame. Almost as soon as her left hand settled on his arm he'd opened up his arms with one hand on the middle of her back.

Ryma'at. Does he know how to do this?

She felt the strength of his lead before they even moved, pushing her backward as he took one long step forward. Swept backward by the momentum, Alema couldn't hold back a genuine smile. It had been years since she'd danced with a partner who really knew what he was doing, and like so many things she'd forgotten how much she enjoyed it.

As Alema let herself be caught and taken up by the music and motion, she kept her gaze dutifully just over Savin's right shoulder. It ostensibly helped keep them from getting preoccupied with one another, but Alema took the opportunity to let her mind wander under the strict, almost meditative rhythm the music was setting.

The music changed to a faster and sharper beat, and Savin set them into a close tango. Alema followed with pleasure.

It was impossible not to notice how careful and confident the warrior was even when he was dancing with a woman who'd been upbraiding him scant minutes earlier. There were only a few layers of clothing between her left palm and the solid muscle she knew she'd find elsewh--

Stop it, she chided herself. Not for the first time, Alema reminded herself that everything about this situation was wrong, and as bad as it was to be so close to him and not have him... it would be unfathomably worse to have him for a night and know she could never keep him.

Savin turned them into a promenade, and after one long step and another, Alema snapped back around to face him for one brief, intense moment.

She wished it could have been different. But for now... this was enough.

A few long, confident steps later and he stopped her short, pulling her toward him. They both knew she'd never allow this under any other circumstances, but what was a tango without leg crawls? Their bodies twisted and she felt his right hand move from the middle of her back all the way down to her thigh, pulling her leg around his hip.

You chi'kan Mando, I noticed that. She smirked as they made eye contact again. If Savin was going to cop a few feels, Alema wanted him to know it was because she was letting him.

"You know what, Crimson? You're a really good dancer."

The lounge was painted in both rare patterns and exotic color schemes. Funky shaped furniture gave a theme of extraordinaire uniqueness, something to keep the eye entertained for hours on end. A room full of sheer mystique. Each time that Jacelyn entered into the chamber, she always felt like she was entering into it for the first time ever. That was just how the lounge always made her feel.

Jacelyn’s fingers careened and flexed over Tiara’s shoulders in a timeless manner, quite interested in savoring every touch, every exquisite brush of divine flesh. Even now, after all this time, Tiara still left Jacelyn excitedly flustered. Moments like these left Jacelyn deliriously elated.

It was just a moment like this one that Jacelyn worshipped.

After a few moments of tender affection, Jacelyn paused to move away with hesitation if only to shut the door. A simple signal so as to leave the couple uninterrupted unless an emergency. Staff was still about the house, any closed doors illustrated privacy, and a room such as with a closed door was never to be intruded upon unless necessary.

She turned down lights to their second lowest setting, surrounding the room in a light ambiance of darkness. She set warmth to the hearth, creating light flickers of flame. From her place, Jacelyn looked across the way, her eyes stretching admirably across Tiara’s illustrious form.

"I love the way you look in shadow."

Now that the lights were turned down low, their forms could be seen cascading off of the walls and floor, depending upon where they stood.

” … Though I love the way you look anytime.”

The latter of Jacelyn’s words sounded so outrageously ridiculous that they almost seemed a falsehood.

They were not at all false, because never once had Jacelyn caught herself being unappreciative of the way Tiara looked. She was always satisfied with Tiara’s appearance.

Closing off distance between Tiara and herself once more, she reset her hands back upon Tiara’s shoulders, eventually allowing the brush of her fingers to kneed into Tiara’s upper back.

”I’ll do my very best to behave myself, beloved.” She whispered, temptation beckoning her in shades. Jacelyn kissed the tip of Tiara’s earlobe, trying, as she promised. As she continued to massage Tiara’s back, Jacelyn tried hard not to imagine the beautiful shapes their silhouettes could make across the walls and floor while intertwined together. Her mind failed her.

As Oren remained in the back of her suite changing her dress, Ishta waited ... and continued to wait ... and finally couldn't wait any more. Meditating on what she felt through the evening, she settled on what she knew was the truth. Oren didn't want her, she wanted the Jedi. Ishta needed to move on. Stepping towards the door, Ishta paused at a terminal to leave a message.

I understand what you did and why you did it, but I cannot approve. I simply wanted to be your friend, but you made me think you wanted something else only to leave me as soon as your attention was taken. You should not have invited me this night if you wanted to be with another.

Now walk the path you have chosen, and leave me to find my own.

Ishta left the room quietly to make her way into the main reception area. She would cross it quietly to salvage what little dignity she had left before leaving the event.
