James didnt want to laugh, but he remembered his first hangover well. He kissed her head again and said, "Not at all love. I'm glad to know, and even more glad that I didn't let you have your way with me."
He stood and walked to the fridge, and took a lager from it, popping the top on a nearby opener.
"Now...this will taste like rancor sweat, but I promiose, it will help the hangover."
Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting)
"Shhh...." Oren said softly. She took her head off of her shoulder and looked Ishta in the eyes. Bringing her hand up, she gently stroked her tears away with her fingers.
"Don't say that. You're not stupid. And you sure as hell aren't ugly. You are beautiful. Don't ever think different."
She pulled her close and wrapped her arms around her. Pulling her head back, she kissed her on the cheek. "Now stop your crying. We've got the night ahead of us. Going and visiting with others doesn't mean that we didn't come together, and it doesn't mean that we won't leave together."
Looking down at her dress she sighed. She'd always torn up her dresses. She had always ripped them up and destroyed them. It was because she was always active. That's why she didn't like wearing them.
"Listen, why don't you come with me up to my room. I need to get changed and I think that I've got a dress up there, is that ok?"
'Listen..... I'm sorry,' she said to Mist through the for, 'But I did come with her, and I'm not about to be rude. We'll meet up later though, love. I promise.'

Mist stood back and watched Oren comforting Ishta. She protected warm feelings into the younger girl even after the point when she knew that Oren was going to stay with Ishta for some time.
'It's fine' she thought to Oren, 'You do what you need to do to help her and then do what's right for you. If that's coming back to me, I'll be waiting. If not, I'll understand'
She re-enforced the thoughts with a wave of trust, and then went back to the party. Something about Kat seemed a little odd...

Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting)
Ishta rarely cried; she usually didn't understand the need to. Suddenly it seemed that she couldn't stop, and all that she could do was hope that her mother wouldn't be ashamed of her.
There seemed to be a clarity in her misery - something she had never experienced before. As her mind rushed to digest everything that was assaulting her, she began to pick out bits and pieces. She thought she understood her mistress: wanting so much to be able to love properly, yet being too greedy to do so. There was her mother: dominant and proud, and always in control. Oren was with her now: and she was lying.
A part of Ishta was angry. She wasn't just some fool for Oren to play with: hadn't Jacelyn done that already? Did Oren think that she would simply fold and forget for the sake of a few gentle words? Prime's crystal blue eyes were trained to see beyond the physical world, and she knew that Oren was talking with Mist even as she sensed Mist's support of Oren. They were the ones who wished to be a couple - Ishta was simply a stumbling block that had to be dealt with, and all Oren's sweet words were a lie. It was a pretty lie, though - and Mother had a saying for such things: It's all right to be manipulated, so long as you know you're being manipulated.
Oren wanted to be nice for a while? Then Ishta would indulge her. It would give her a chance to escape this ball, anyway. Ishta would wait for now - this was not the time or the place. She would wait and then she would deal with the situation as it deserved. She wiped her eyes and allowed Oren to lead her on - for a little bit longer, anyway.
As she looked to Oren, Ishta couldn't help but giggle as one of her mother's favorite songs came to mind. She began to hum the tune uncontrolably as the words rang through her mind:
You look too young for your age,
I feel kinda sorry for you.
It's such a shame - that you won't be laughing

Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting)
Relief washed over Kat when she heard James tell her he was glad to know about her inocence and wasnt angry with her. She was so comforted by this that she had to take a moment to take in everything he had said. "and even more glad I didnt let you have your way with me." Had she tried to? She felt herself go very pink and looked at him. "Was I that bad hun?" She couldnt help but feel embarased by her actions even if they were more the smoothies actions than hers.
When he handed her the drink she raised her eyebrows skeptically. "You want me to clear a hangover with more alcohol? That doesnt seem right?" She studied him for a moment and realized he was serious. She trusted him with her life and therefore knew he wouldnt lie to her but it did seem silly to drink when you had a hangover.
Slowly she raised the bottle and toasted him. "Heres to my great gentlman boyfriend whom I am very lucky to have." With a smile she tiped the bottle to her lips and took a sip. When the fluid washed down her throat she contorted her face with distast. It really did taste horible. "Boy you werent kidding. This stuff is rude."
It took her a moment to finish the drink because of its taste but she got it down and was actually suprised when her head felt better. He really did know his stuff. She smiled at him. "I feel a little better love, thanks. Why dont we go back down to the party and try to enjoy the rest of this evening." She placed the bottle down and and folded her arms around him. "I'm sorry for anything I did today that may have upset you. Thank you for being so wonderfull to me."

He laughed a little. "Yup, that would be her first beer." He thought.
"No worries, love. I was very flattered by most of it. As far as that beer," He said, " I have had more than my share of hangovers, that trick works every time."
He stood, and began to pull his clothes back on. He had kept his pants on, so they were slightly wrinckled, but the shirt was still impecable. He smiled over at Kat, before pulling his jacket over his shoulders.
Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting)
Kat watched him pull back on his jacket and cast her that dashing smile. She felt herself go weak and the knees and couldnt help but mentally thump herself in the head. "you idiot why didnt you sleep with him?"
She quickly pushed that thought out of her mind and smiled back at him, a little sad to see him cover up his chest... it looked really nice. "ok maybe that smoothie isnt all gone." she thought.
When he had dressed she stood up and walked over to the bathroom to fix her dress and put back on her shoes. She went inside and brushed her teeth and fixed her hair and make up and was soon ready to go.
She came out of the bathroom and smiled at him. "You look good babe."

Kat came back into the room, just as James was straightening his hair in front of the mirror. He caught her reflection, and froze. She looked even more beautiful than she had when he had picked her up for the Ball.
He turne don his heel, and stared for a moment. Rememberi himself , he said, " You look....fantastic."
Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting)
Kat felt herself blush and smiled at him. It felt nice to have that effect on him and to know she didnt look totally hung over.
"Aww thank you love." She smiled at him, he really did look great. "So I hope I havent ruined the evening for us to much."

Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting) "Naw....you gave me a great massage for a minute there. He said, a grin on his face."I just hope the others don't think the wrong thing, or get jealous of me. You are a real catch you know."
Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting)
Kat felt herself give him a quizical look at the words massage but decided it was probably best she didnt ask. She took his hand and smiled, he was so sweet.
"Yes love I believe we shall and let the others think what they want. It would be an honor if they thought I was sleeping with someone as great as you." She smiled at him and opend the door and lead him out into the hall, noticing for the first time how decorated the walls were. "Besides if it gets to crazy we can always come back here, I mean we did rent this room for the whole night."

Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting) "Right you are love. 'Sides, that bed is comphy. He said with a wink, lacing his fingers into hers.
He reached through the force, and brushed her cheek, "Lead on, love."
Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting)
Kat felt his touch in the Force and returned it with one of her own then led him down the hallway. They stepped into the elevator and decended back to the party where they were met by a scene of people dancing, drinking, conversing, and otherwise enjoying themselves.
"Well the party sure didnt stop without us." She grinned at all the people having fun. "I dont even know if anyone knows we left."

James turned his head when he heard Mist' voice. He hadn't blushed in public....ever as far as he knew, bit his face turned a glowing red now.
He looked at her, and tried to speak, but to his dismay he had lost his entire vocabulary, aside from the words, "Uhhh...hi."
Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting)
Jacelyn spoke not a word further on the matter; simply because she had not a nice word to say, so saying nothing at all was best.
Jacelyn had dug her own grave, and it was clear she was going to have to lie in it.
She confessed toward her beloved, from a deep place within her; an inner most secret. A secret that had been tearing her apart for quite a while. Yet Tiara dare lay claim to give the reasons why. Jacelyn felt bitter, but absolutely no better.
Oh, but yet there was truth to Tiara's words. She was not for calling her beloved a liar; it was but her perception.
Sharing the truth had brought Jacelyn absolutely no comfort at all. Not with Prime nor with Fel. Well what good were the words if they were to become so insignificant?
There was no use being angry; there was no use being upset.
Jacelyn did not desire the comforts of her family. No, just the exact opposite. She wanted to run and hide, as she did when so many things were going wrong. This method, she knew, was of no benefit to her. It didn't change the fact that she wanted it still.
Following Tiara's lead, she made haste for little Ishta's direction. It was possible that the Sith's mood could change, all by way of the child; with a little bit of the young one's tender charm. Jacelyn pushed aside the feelings within her heart and declaired it a defeat, promising herself that she would never bring it up again.
Tomorrow was a new day and much could be created anew. Yes, no one knew or would know, that a much deeper and darker sensation of suffering would the new day create. As it had tonight.
Jacelyn could pretend. She could play the game of denial and pretend that she did not desire Ishta. She could pretend to sever the ties of intimate feeling she felt toward Ishta; while all along her heart could play the saddest of songs. Who would and could believe any different of her?
The truth gave her nothing.
Yet she knew what eyes could see; a woman yearning for reassurance. If Jacelyn wanted such; she could certainly get it, she need not run to Prime to find it. Prime was not second fiddle, especially not to Jacelyn!
What a ridiculous fool Jacelyn had been tonight! No more! What a mess she'd made of things! Well, she'd fix it.
Silence could be golden.
So would it be for the rest of the night. The next day; along with any other that would follow.

Kat smiled at Mist. "Just a little drink accident thats all. Where did your new friend run off to hun? She was quite pretty wasnt she?" She winked at Mist and smiled, enjoying the light teasing.

Alema's comment startled Serrena into a soft giggle of her own, which felt like it echoed through her entire head as they whirled around the perimeter of the dance floor. For the first time, in a span longer than she could remember, she was enjoying herself.
The dance itself was easy enough once she got the hang of it, and more graceful and artistic than anything she'd done before. With a brightness to her crimson gaze, Serrena looked up at Alema. "Thank you...I'm slowly getting used to not wearing the contacts. I have no desire to hide who or what I am anymore." she smiled.

Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting) "A slight drink accident?" Mist echoed dubiously. "Don't worry, I won't push for details. Oren is doing the right thing. Something really hurt the girl she came with so Oren is comforting her. I'm sure she'll come back when the time is right. There was a resonance between us in the Force. That's got to mean something"
Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting)
Kat smiled at Mist. "It means a great deal hun. For now though how about we all go get a drink? This time though lets watch that bartender and make sure I get the right one." She looked over at James still wondering about that little massage he had mentiond.

Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting) "Yes, let's. Come on Mist, on me tonight. I am gonna have a word with that guy before we go though."
He looped his arm for Kat, and smiled, "No more booze for you."
Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting)
Kat smiled at James. "I dont think I ever want booze again love. From what you have told me I behaved pretty horibly under them."
She smiled at Mist and motiond for her to follow as they moved to the bar.
Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting)
As the song drew to a close, Alema pulled Serrena up short, stopping them on their next step so that their dresses swirled around their legs. "I'm glad," Alema replied with a smile.
She's good at this. I didn't expect to have so much fun. Thought this'd just be another charity case. Got to help the confused and lonely young people, Alema thought to herself sardonically. But this evening actually isn't turning out to be so bad.
It occurred to Alema that not all of the alcohol Serrena had consumed would necessarily be in her system yet, and it might not be a good idea to try and keep her out and dancing. No need to say that was why, of course. All part of taking care of a dance partner.
"Say. These heels are killing me. You want to have a seat somewhere? We don't need to go back to the bar. I actually don't..." She shrugged apologetically. "I try not to drink much."

Re: This Calls for a Celebration! (Open, no fighting) "I don't mind at all..." Serrena smiled, wincing slightly as her own ankles ached in sympathy. That, and her right shoe was pinching something awful. "...my shoes are new, and even though I'm used to heels, the right one is screaming at me to sit down."
Heedless of whatever onlookers there might have been, the brunette kicked off her new spike heeled sandals and dangled them in her fingers, losing about six inches in height with her shoes off. Now her usual petite 5' 3", the dancer smiled as the ached in her foot eased instantly.
"How about we find a nice quiet table and then grab a bite to eat...I should probably stay lucid for a change and not drink myself under the table..." Serrena said, tilting her head towards the row of tables across the back, tucked into vine-filled alcoves.
