Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
Franz had worked on his walking while he had been away, but the giant was still easily heard as he made his way through the halls. While not as clumsy as before he still had his share of mishaps and short fuse mindset. But since returning and beginning to drink again, almost everything he had worked on bringing up to normal standards fell back to his level.
In his hand he carried a half empty bottle of whiskey, while slung under his arm was a box carrying a few more bottles. He was taking a stroll through the ship and continuously downing the drinks. He wasn't exactly sure what drinks he had in the crate, he had just thrown a bunch in before setting off through the hallways.
Wanding through the halls in a state close to a drunken daze, he would have certainly gone past the observatory had the door not just been closing as he got nearer. Someone had just gone in. Not bothering to check if it was someones room or not, Franz opened the door and strolled in. It had been some time again since he had seen the crew, at least in a state that allowed him to remember seeing them.
Not bothering to pay them anymore heed, he made his way to a nearby seat and plopped himself down. His hair down just over his eyes as he leaned forward to dig out another bottle. Pulling out a corellian ale, he bit into the top and pulled it off with his teeth and let the lid fall to the table. Tilting his head back, he downed half the bottle before setting it back on the table and taking another breath. Yup, it was good to be amongst the crew again.
Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
Oh, *now* she'd gone and done it....
"It was a long time ago," she growled, looking positively grumpy, even for her. "I was going through some things I was going to throw out, and Gris snatched it."
Yeah, if Marcus knew how much that had meant to her, he'd have kittens. "I want to mail it back and tell him to eat his heart out."
Marcus could hear Griswald chuckling and, reaching into his dreads, the captain pulled out the little ferret. In the rodent's mouth dangled a gold locket. The man's mismatched eyes lit up.
"I dunno, Saede, love, this is a pretty nice locket. By the looks of the worn metal," he narrowed his eyes, "It's been rubbed down quite a bit."
A grin spread across his face and he tugged one of his beard braids. He knew how old it was, none knew treasure and gold better than the pirate captain. Tossing the necklace back to Saede, he winked.

Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
Smiling carefully through the tendrils of smoke, Serrena winked and blew Marcus a kiss for his compliment. It was a constant source of delight for her to figure out what outfit or lack thereof would get the biggest reaction out of the pirate she'd met on Csilla. The young woman's eyes floated between Saede and Marcus briefly, wondering about the history between them and how many of the rumors were to be believed.
She met Savin's gaze ever so briefly, her glowing crimson orbs soon drifting away to settle on the incredible view.
Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
She'd worn that locket for nearly six years before it had finally found its way off of her neck. Marcus did indeed have a good eye. Slowly, though with some effort, she held her hand out, catching it as nonchalantly as she could, rather than snatching it from the air. A hard look was thrown in Gris' direction however.
Looking down, the redhead slipped the locket into a pocket before answering.
Re: Smoking [IC and Open] "Nick and Saede!" Marcus trilled happily, "Oh oh! Saede and Nick. I like it."
Griswald tittered in that way that he did before leaping bodily off of the captain. Apparently the little rodant was hungry and curious about the new cook. Little clawed and padded feet skittered across the durasteel floor, the ferret slid over to Alema and began crawling up her leg.
Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
Alema hadn't received an answer from Nathaniel, and in fact the words were barely out of her mouth before she felt something clambering past her socks and up her pant leg. She jumped with a yelp and saw the backside of a ferret worming its way into what must have seemed like an interesting passageway to... well, to nothing Alema felt was any of his business.
Hairy little boneless wiggling--
Trying to pull Griswald out wasn't working. No, the crafty little weasel was prepared for that. Choking back streams of cursing, some of her ingrained emotional control began to return. She could handle this. He was tiny and squirming and covered in that matted disgusting hair she hated, but she had a tactical advantage. She was sentient. She could handle a weasel.
With his little claws gripped into the top of her sock, she grabbed the toe and yanked the whole sock down, pulling him out with it. The overgrown wiggling rat, ever resourceful, was not to be defeated by so small a setback.
He grabbed the outside of her pant leg and used it to yank himself up onto her sleeve. Grabbing him around the midsection she eventually dislodged his tiny reaching forepaws and rapidly had to get another hand under him as he flopped and writhed to escape being held.
I HATE ANIMALS! her mind screamed. Reptiles, amphibians, these things she could usually handle. They weren't covered in the tangled strands of dead skin growing out of their bodies, oozing the secretions and stinking oils that lubricated the nasty lice and flea-ridden fur that mammals wore.
Finally she got two hands around him, and he stretched himself out in that horrifying boneless way weasels had, nose and whiskers outstretched to inspect her face more closely. She blinked and shook her head when his nose touched her and whispered to him in Twi'leki past her clenched pointed teeth, "So help me Ryma'at, I will eat you if you do that again." Alema stared down the mischievous animal, catching her breath after her epic battle with the creature. Sometimes, at times like this when she sat with one sock in her hand and fending off the affection of some monstrous critter... times like these she hated the Force.
Then Griswald made a hffffing sound like he was laughing at her. "Dammit!" she growled and thrust the wiggling little monster onto Savin. The big Mandalorian ought to be able to handle one tiny mammal. "Savin you take him."

Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
The Mando'ad, on the other hand, found the exchange to be mildly entertaining. That was an gross understatement. He thought it to be a -riot-. But, he was able to keep his laughter down to a strained sniker as he continued to tinker with his favorite weapon. He -was- hoping she would cook him something nice soon. He found he got -really- hungry after physical exertion.
His grey gaze traveled over to Serrena for a moment, wondering what the dancer was thinking as her crimson orbs peered out into the black.
~*Savin you take him*~
The Mando's attention was pulled back from the odd place it had begun to travel as a mass of wriggling fur and nose was thrust toward him.
"Su'cuy, vod'ika. Want to sit with Savi'buir a spell, eh?" Savin took the ferret and placed him on his shoulder to allow him to crawl about as he liked, making sure to replace all of the smaller parts of his Verpine repeater before the tiny thief got it in his head to make off with any of them and get shot.
"Thaat's a good lad."
Unlike the Twi'lek, Savin -loved- furry animals. Much more so than reptilians, the majority of which where the things he hunted and killed on his homeworld of D'xun for -fun-. Something without any fur was -prey- to him. It may explain why he took a moment to cast the Twi'lek a meaningful sideways glance that ended in a very male smirk.
The kind of smirk where one -knows- what the man was thinking...and he had every intention of letting you know it..
Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
Alema's lips hardened into a single straight line as she met Savin's smarmy and ambitious grin. Sometimes, mainly when she was talking to men like Savin, Alema wished she were a man. The other men on the ship could have serious conversations with one another, whether they did or not. She didn't see Savin leering at the captain or Nathaniel or any of the male crew. No, those slick greasy smirks were just for the girls.
She told herself sternly that she wasn't a girl. She was a grown woman and deserved some degree of respect. Whatever Savin said about her ability to do her job, and however much he apparently appreciated her food, sometimes she just wanted to smack him for looking at her like some cheap piece of ass that was his for the taking. She scowled down at her empty plate. If Alema were a man it would be enough for him that she did her job and helped out around the ship when she could.
Perhaps most of all, if she were a man she wouldn't care what Savin thought of her.
"Savin, quit leering at me while you're playing with that weasel. It's ...weird. And you are not going to entice me with a f@#$ing ferret." Or at all, she finished privately. It wasn't that Alema played hard to get. She wasn't generally that bad a tease. Alema was hard to get, and she needed a casual fling with an overgrown hormonal teenager like she needed a hole in the head.

Re: Smoking [IC and Open] "Hm hm hmm.."
Her reaction drew a rumbling chuckle from the Mando as he continued to tinker with his 'toy'. She found a way to be alluring even when she was annoyed. A fact that did not escape Savin as he cast her another glance. One filled with mirth and a hint of warmth. It was so odd to him how comfortable he had become with the rutian Twi'lek. In fact, how comfortable he had become with the crew, as a whole.
He offered a glance to the Capt. and his first mate, unable to supress a smirk at their conversation. He looked across the table to Nathanial to offer him a head nod, offering the same to Rok on the other side of the room. His grey gaze trailed over to the dancer again, his eyes lingering on her a moment. Finally, he looked over to Alema, clapping a hand on her shoulder and shaking it a bit. He found himself in rather good spirits. But, again, physical exertion can do that to a Mando.
"If I was going to try to entice you I would hope I was not di'kutla enough to think that I could do it with -this- little mangy mir'osik." He reached a hand up to pet the ferret that had taken to draping across his neck for the time being.
"Besides..." Continued he with a smile brimming with masculine confidence. "..what makes you think that I was trying to entice you, hm?"
Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
She tensed her shoulder to nudge his hand off of her. She couldn't help but be keenly aware of that moment of physical contact, and that awareness frustrated her as much as Savin did. He clearly couldn't be trusted to keep a level head about this, and if she couldn't maintain certain boundaries he wouldn't even know they'd been there.
"Well," she replied. "I don't see you grinning over at the captain or his wookiee friend. Just Serrena and me and The Maker knows who else. I doubt that it's just gratitude for the free food."
She saw that ferret peering at her around Savin's neck and she frowned at him. Good. Let him pet the stupid weasel. As far as she was concerned it was more action than either of the obnoxious males deserved.

Lifting his hand off her shoulder, he raised his hands with a placatory gesture.
"All right, all right. No need to get so hot and bothered, blue." Even as his instincts told him to apologize, the Mando couldn't help but poke a bit more fun at the Twi'lek. Even though, her gesture knocked him out of the comfort zone he had found a moment ago. Was she actually mad?

Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
Though her eyes were focused on the massive transparisteel window, her attention was on the conversation between Savin and Alema. She was hard-pressed to not giggle at the woman's obvious discomfort, though she knew well enough what it was like to be in such a position. When the attention, however offered, was unwanted and most unwelcome.
Serrena swung her legs down from the couch and stood, deathstick in the fingers of one hand, a bottle of run dangling in the other. She walked slowly across the room, and perched beside Nathaniel, opposite Alema. A smile curled the dancer's lips up as she took a swig from the rapidly dwindling bottle and set it down.
"Boys giving you trouble, Alema?" Serrena asked quietly, her gaze flickering from the Twi'lek to Savin and back again.
Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
Alema couldn't hold back a smirk as she replied to Serrena. "Not all of them," she replied. "Mainly the weasel." Though Griswald's being a pain, too, she finished to herself somewhat unkindly. Something in Savin's demeanor kept her from saying it out loud. The surprise she saw on his face might be a sign that she'd actually managed to batter through the wall of testosterone that kept her signals from reaching his brain.
Alema wanted to keep him at a safe distance, but she didn't have any real urge to hurt the man. Maybe Serrena's proximity would distract him enough that he left Alema alone for a while. It was a temporary solution, but probably the most merciful one.
"Nothing I can't handle. What're you up to?" She chuckled. "Come to decoy enemy fire?"
Re: Smoking [IC and Open] "Absolutely...and to make sure my little brother here isn't the one giving you any trouble..." she arched an eyebrow at Nathaniel, the look lessened by the grin on her face. She reached up to ruffle his hair, much to the young man's chagrin, but she just couldn't resist sometimes.
"I can't help you with Griswald...he's...well, he's alot like Marcus, only more shameless. If that's possible..." Serrena smiled, blowing the little furball on the Mando's shoulder a kiss. Her eyes flickered as she looked at Savin briefly and then back to Alema.

Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
Nathaniel mock snarled at his sister, enduring the hair ruffling though. He wasn't good about anyone touching him, but he'd suffer it for Serrena.
"Sis, do you... have anything? I have a killer headache. And no, before you ask, it's not from the fraggin' rum. I didn't have any."
Re: Smoking [IC and Open] "Oddly enough, I do..." Serrena smiled, plucking a tiny little vial out of her cleavage. Opening the top carefully, she places one tiny green pill in Nathaniel's outstretched hand.
"Its just a painkiller...regular stuff, I promise. Works wonders on headaches."
Re: Smoking [IC and Open] "Serrena, do you think you could fit me in there?" Marcus asked guilelessly, gesturing toward her ample cleavage, "Probably Griswald."
The captain grinned behind his bottle of rum, suddenly worried as he looked about and noticed Griswald's absence.
Re: Smoking [IC and Open] "Of course I could fit you in here, Captain...with room for Griswald, too..." she laughed softly, reaching out to stroke the little ferret's head as he ambled across the table to her.
Griswald snaked up her arm and around her neck, nuzzling her cheek for a brief moment, which made her grin broaden. The furry creature then slid down her front to settle himself comfortably amidst her cleavage, peering out at everyone over the low neckline of her shirt.
"See? There you go...the latest and greatest in ferret conveyance..."

Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
Nate was both disappointed and relieved that it was ordinary painkiller. With a slow nod of his aching head, he downed the capsules without liquid and closed his eyes.
Now, if I could get everyone in here to be quiet and leave me alone...
Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
The captain, relieved to see Griswald, lumbered forward to pet the little ferret. Conveniently, it was also a good excuse to grope Serrena. Ah, Griswald was the best wingman a space pirate captain could have.
"You're such a good samaritan, Serrena." he grinned as he pet Griswald, "Giving a homeless...ferret...a warm...home."
It was all the captain could do to keep from bursting out laughing.
Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
Chaos stepped in to the lounge wearing a full out butlers outfit, though it was poorly put together, the insane marauder put on a very stiff look. Handling a small tray with a tall bottle of rum. He gently made his way to Marcus Gray, and bowed down to hand him the bottle. “I had noticed that, Sir’s rum was becoming quite vacant. Might I present you with another bottle?”.
Tossing the bottle to Marcus, he ripped the outfit off in one swift stroke, and settled into a nearby chair.
Re: Smoking [IC and Open] Decoying enemy fire indeed, Alema concluded. She watched the young woman coax a ferret down between her breasts, and her eyes followed the captain's hand as it followed the weasel.
Yeah, she thought. Real smooth. She was glad Serrena didn't seem to mind. In fact, Alema still hadn't actually seen anyone reach the limits of Serrena's tolerance. Alema found it vaguely disturbing even though she had selfish reasons to be grateful for it. The twi'lek didn't appreciate advances like that, and with a few notable exceptions she avoided situations where they might be made.
Serrena, by contrast, revelled in the attention. Alema had heard other crew members allude to Serrena's former occupation and at first had dismissed it as gossip. Now she wasn't quite so sure. The young woman certainly acted like someone who wouldn't mind that line of work, and it might explain why she carried herself the way she did even around casual acquaintances. If she'd gotten used to the idea that her worth was tied to her sexuality, it might be bolstering her self-esteem that she can leave other humanoids swooning in her wake.
Alema dismissed it with a shrug and a flick of her left headtail. Didn't matter. If it worked for Serrena, it worked. Probably wouldn't work forever, but for now it meant that there was another woman nearby gleefully attracting attention away from Alema. It was just as well.
With mild interest she watched the antics of the captain's self-appointed butler, and her tattooed brows drew together in a frown even as she held back a laugh. She'd certainly found an interesting collection of colleagues.
Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
Serrena purred as Marcus petted Griswald, and conveniently, petted her in the meantime. She had to bite her lip to keep from laughing at the absurdity of the moment, and the expression of mirth on the Captain's face. Griswald sat content and warm against her skin.
She scooted over on the bench, closer to Nathaniel, to give Marcus a place to sit on her other side. Glowing crimson orbs regarded her little brother carefully, and she resolved to get him alone later on to talk...there was something bothering him and if she could, she was damn well going to fix it.
"Always said I was good for something..." she quipped, touching her nose to Griswald's as the ferrett shifted around to gaze at her.

Re: Smoking [IC and Open]
Nathaniel peeked his eyes open at the... display... going on between Serrena and Marcus and wasn't able to hide his shudder of revulsion. Rubbing his forehead, he gave Alema an apologetic look and slid out of his seat.
"Thanks for the meds, Sis. I think I'm going to go and seek some quiet for now. My head's killing me."
He needed the quiet and to be away from the spectacle. Nathaniel didn't like or dislike how Serrena played the situations as they came along; it was just who she was. And he could have endured it better if he didn't have such a blazing headache!
